[00:00:11] Yes, you are now listening to the sounds of Sports Reports As Ordered.

[00:00:18] And not only do we got picks tonight, we're gonna talk about the Heisman. That's gonna be coming up soon.

[00:00:27] Myself, your unorthodox statistician, 2-5.

[00:00:32] Going left so much I thought I was southpaw I see the things that Deontay Wilder can't see.

[00:00:38] And then of course, we got the one and only. Born in Texas, raised in VA, representing everything new to Bruce and he said that you have not, you have not been to Caesars Palace unless you've been to Atlantic City.

[00:00:54] He is Mr. Logical. Do not bring feelings to a fat fight.

[00:00:59] Don't do it.

[00:01:01] Let's get this thing started.

[00:01:04] And of course, I would be remissed if I didn't ask you to like, review, subscribe, share, rate, do all the good things.

[00:01:13] Do all the free things.

[00:01:17] So, we wanted to switch it up a little bit tonight.

[00:01:20] You know, no get it off my chest right now, even though I was gonna go in on the Denver Nuggets.

[00:01:24] But, you know, we decided to have a conversation about one of the most prestigious awards in sports.

[00:01:32] Hello, Alohi.

[00:01:33] You know, and let's get right to it then, you know, I guess, you know.

[00:01:39] So, who you got Mr. Logical?

[00:01:41] Who you got?

[00:01:42] Who's your Heisman favorite right now?

[00:01:44] Well, I got, I have a, I took a page out of your book.

[00:01:48] I got a little unorthodox kind of list.

[00:01:51] I'm keeping it at five.

[00:01:55] But I got Travis Hunter.

[00:01:58] Wide receiver, cornerback, playmaker.

[00:02:00] The whole game changes when he's not on the field.

[00:02:04] It's evident.

[00:02:04] I know you have Shador throwing in the ball.

[00:02:06] And I know they have really quality wide receivers.

[00:02:08] But his ability to play, his ability to play both sides of the ball.

[00:02:14] In my opinion, like I said, I'm probably gonna hit this one a couple more times.

[00:02:19] It's not Cap.

[00:02:22] Cap!

[00:02:24] Big Tom Cap!

[00:02:26] Listen, the Heisman isn't just your default quarterback award.

[00:02:32] No!

[00:02:32] The Heisman is, it's a special award.

[00:02:35] You gotta do something special.

[00:02:38] Bryce Young throwing 40 plus touchdowns behind Alabama's line was not special.

[00:02:44] It just wasn't.

[00:02:46] Tell that to his mama.

[00:02:47] Cam Newton carrying Auburn when they had like three guys take snaps in the NFL.

[00:02:54] That's special.

[00:02:55] When you go through the gauntlet that is SEC, that's special.

[00:03:00] But it's like sometimes I think the award is by default.

[00:03:03] Like I think A.J.

[00:03:04] McCarron was like, either he was close or he was like really close to winning the Heisman.

[00:03:10] Like A.J.

[00:03:10] McCarron did nothing.

[00:03:13] Next, obviously Ashton Gentry.

[00:03:16] He's second in the nation in touchdowns.

[00:03:22] Like Russian touchdowns with 18.

[00:03:24] I'm gonna get to the guy that's first here shortly.

[00:03:28] My default quarterback in it, but I like what he's doing.

[00:03:31] I like what he's doing in Miami, Cam Ward.

[00:03:34] Because Miami's had, like we talked about the talent pool that they have.

[00:03:38] They should have better teams.

[00:03:39] He transfers in and it's like he plays the game at his speed.

[00:03:43] Like I talked about him being able to roll left and throw that back corner end zone pass.

[00:03:48] It's just special.

[00:03:50] Like you're doing something special for Miami.

[00:03:53] And then I got the Service Academy quarterbacks.

[00:03:57] I got Bryson Daly and I got Blake Horvath.

[00:04:00] And the reason Gentry is second in rush touchdowns is because Bryson Daly is number one.

[00:04:06] 19 rushing touchdowns this season.

[00:04:07] Seven passing touchdowns.

[00:04:09] Blake Horvath has Navy unstoppable in the red zone.

[00:04:13] I think they're still at 100% touchdowns conversion.

[00:04:17] Not scoring, touchdowns once they get to the red zone.

[00:04:21] Both service academies undefeated this late in the season.

[00:04:26] And I'm pretty sure historically it's probably happened before because they've had such a long history.

[00:04:30] Back in the 40s, the last time they both were ranked this late in the season, Dwight Eisenhower was the president.

[00:04:35] Yeah, so it's like this current run.

[00:04:38] Yeah, they won't have the gaudy numbers of Cam Ward as far as passing the ball.

[00:04:42] But their ability to lead that team that's generally undersized, not overly flooded with four or five-star talent.

[00:04:52] And for them to be undefeated, both of them this late in the year.

[00:04:57] And Horvath is the only guy with 10 rushing touchdowns and over 10 passing touchdowns in the country right now.

[00:05:03] So it's like, to me, that's what the Heisman is.

[00:05:07] It's not just a default.

[00:05:09] You stood behind Alabama's offensive line or you ran deep routes next to three other five-star wide receivers and you just happened to catch 20 touchdowns.

[00:05:19] I think you got to do something special because every other award is available for just your position doing something special.

[00:05:27] I think the Heisman should encapsulate the totality of what college football is.

[00:05:32] And nothing's more college football than underdogs, than guys giving it their all, i.e. going both ways on the field.

[00:05:42] Then you have the service academies.

[00:05:44] I was thinking that, but I was like, I'm staying on my team.

[00:05:47] Well, you know what?

[00:05:47] I'm glad you said that.

[00:05:49] I'm glad you said that.

[00:05:51] So look, you know me.

[00:05:53] We've had these arguments over the years.

[00:05:56] If it were up to me, Chris Paul would have a few MVPs.

[00:06:00] But the problem with these awards in the first place is that, and I know this is going to be ironic coming from me, they're too stat-centric.

[00:06:07] You know, so like in my eyes, a Heisman is somebody like Diego Pavia, you know, down at Vanderbilt, you know, put the beat down on Alabama a couple of weeks ago.

[00:06:20] You know, beat Virginia Tech to start the season.

[00:06:22] Had an interview lined up with the Unnecessary Roughness podcast and crew and said, I can't do it because we're focusing on Texas this week.

[00:06:32] That is a Heisman.

[00:06:34] But I fear it's going to go to Cam Ward, you know.

[00:06:38] So throughout the history of the Heisman Trophy, we've had 40 running backs win it, 38 quarterbacks, four wide receivers, two tight ends in one corner.

[00:06:47] We'll get to that in a second.

[00:06:49] So Mr. Logical, real quick, who was the last running back to win the Heisman Trophy?

[00:06:55] I saw this today and it shocked the hell out of me too.

[00:06:58] I believe it was Derrick Henry.

[00:06:59] It is Derrick Henry back in 2015.

[00:07:01] Yep.

[00:07:01] So it's going to be hard, right?

[00:07:04] So this is my problem with Ashton Jensie.

[00:07:06] He's doing great things.

[00:07:08] And to steal Mr. Logical's argument, because a few years ago I'm like, yo, Todd Gurley's the MVP.

[00:07:13] This person's the MVP.

[00:07:15] And he's like, nah, if you were running back and you win the MVP, you got to hit 2,000.

[00:07:19] You got to break the record.

[00:07:21] Let's alter the tone.

[00:07:23] That's what you said.

[00:07:23] I didn't say it like that.

[00:07:25] I said they weren't going to vote you MVP unless you broke a record.

[00:07:31] And that's why I was so adamant that Derrick Henry should have been the MVP because you can factor in Ryan Tannehill's numbers in that 2,000 yard.

[00:07:41] Right.

[00:07:41] I just feel like they give it to quarterbacks because they just give it 40 touchdowns.

[00:07:45] So Ashton Jensie, you know, he has a chance to break the record.

[00:07:49] 26-28 held by Barry Sanders.

[00:07:52] You know, he's already over 1,200 yards, averaging 9.9 yards per carry this season.

[00:07:57] Problem for me is that schedule.

[00:08:02] Like, I just can't buy it.

[00:08:04] You know, so like, I'm looking at this.

[00:08:07] And he had a great game against Oregon.

[00:08:08] So I don't want to take that away from him.

[00:08:10] You know, 192 yards, three touchdowns against what's now the number one team in the nation.

[00:08:15] And I think if someone's going to make – if someone's going to push back on the schedule and be like, oh, the schedule is soft, they're going to be like, whoa.

[00:08:22] That's why I had to bring it up because I knew you were going to say that.

[00:08:25] But, you know, but looking at this –

[00:08:26] I just think it's a valid argument point.

[00:08:28] I don't think it is.

[00:08:29] Because when you look at the rest of the schedule, you know, you got Utah State.

[00:08:33] You know, like you got these teams – Portland State.

[00:08:37] You know, like I don't – I'm not impressed with that.

[00:08:39] He should run for 200 yards against those teams.

[00:08:42] You know, he has –

[00:08:42] Does every other running back in the conference run for 200 yards against those teams?

[00:08:46] Well, Portland State's an FCS team, so not everybody plays them.

[00:08:49] But Utah State, I don't know.

[00:08:51] They should because Utah State sucks this year.

[00:08:52] But anyway, the point being is that, like, when you look at Barry Sanders –

[00:08:57] No, no.

[00:08:58] No, when you look at Barry Sanders breaking the record, when he broke the record.

[00:09:01] He was doing it against Nebraska.

[00:09:03] He was doing it against Oklahoma.

[00:09:05] He was doing it against Colorado.

[00:09:06] He had three 300-yard games that year.

[00:09:09] You know, so, like, when I look at that, that's impressive.

[00:09:13] Ashton Gentry is doing impressive things right now.

[00:09:16] But it's the same reason that I have to knock Bryson Daly and Blake Horvath, Army and Navy respectively.

[00:09:22] It's the same reason.

[00:09:23] I got to look at the schedule.

[00:09:24] You're playing Bucknells and Lehighs, Charlottes and Rices.

[00:09:28] You know, I have to take that into account.

[00:09:30] So now Blake Horvath gets his chance tomorrow because he's going to play against the Fighting Irish.

[00:09:37] Bryson Daly gets them later.

[00:09:38] So you have your opportunity on that stage.

[00:09:42] But at the end of the season, that's going to be the only game of consequence you play besides when you play each other.

[00:09:49] You know, whereas with Boise State, on the other hand, like, they played Washington State as well if we want to consider them.

[00:09:54] They play Oregon State later.

[00:09:56] They play UNLV tonight.

[00:09:57] But he should run for 200 yards on UNLV.

[00:10:01] You know, so that's why.

[00:10:02] Yeah, but you can't compare him to Barry Sanders' season.

[00:10:06] Like, Barry Sanders is all the great running.

[00:10:07] Because you're only comparing them because of the numbers.

[00:10:10] I'm talking about what are you.

[00:10:13] Because everyone isn't running for nine yards a touch.

[00:10:19] Everyone's not doing that all over the country.

[00:10:20] You have some of the best schools in America.

[00:10:23] Because Ohio State plays some chumps.

[00:10:26] Alabama plays some chumps.

[00:10:28] Georgia plays some chumps.

[00:10:30] All these schools are going to play at least four games against subpar, damn near subdivision teams.

[00:10:37] And their star player won't.

[00:10:39] The star quarterback.

[00:10:40] Their subpar is still better than what Boise's playing.

[00:10:42] No, I'm talking about the Mercers.

[00:10:44] I'm talking about the teams.

[00:10:45] That's one game.

[00:10:46] Yeah, but everyone.

[00:10:48] Alabama and all these other schools play two or three games like that every single year.

[00:10:52] And in those two or three games, by your leverage, those guys who are Heisman candidates who will go to Alabama, who will go to Ohio State, they should throw for 500 yards as the quarterback against these teams that they invite in.

[00:11:09] When they play Akron or when they play, give me what is it, like Mercer.

[00:11:14] You know, I don't even know where hell Mercer is.

[00:11:16] I always use it.

[00:11:16] It's in Alabama.

[00:11:16] Alabama.

[00:11:18] Yeah.

[00:11:18] So when they play some of these schools.

[00:11:19] Actually, I think it's in Macon, Georgia.

[00:11:21] It's one of the two.

[00:11:21] That they give two, three, four million dollars to, then I want 400 yards, six touchdowns from these quarterbacks.

[00:11:30] So Ashton Jemte, yes, he is not playing Alabama every week.

[00:11:34] But he put up 192 yards against Oregon.

[00:11:37] He did.

[00:11:38] They almost won.

[00:11:39] You know how the end of the games have been going recently this year.

[00:11:42] It seems like there's been a lot more problems.

[00:11:43] But he would have won the game if they didn't give up a punt return and a kick return.

[00:11:47] Yeah.

[00:11:47] He got nothing to do with that.

[00:11:48] He don't tackle.

[00:11:49] Let's give up one of them.

[00:11:49] Let's give up one of them.

[00:11:52] He doesn't make tackles.

[00:11:53] All he does is run through tackles.

[00:11:55] He's leading the nation in yards at the contact, yards to tackle, first contact.

[00:12:01] So it's like at some point, like I said, the Heisman has to – the Heisman can't just be – like, for instance, when Caleb Williams –

[00:12:11] I think when Caleb Williams – hold on a minute.

[00:12:14] Max Duggar won like a – like the Maxwell Award or something.

[00:12:18] The – Dave O'Brien.

[00:12:20] Dave O'Brien, yeah.

[00:12:21] As the best quarterback.

[00:12:23] But yet another quarterback won the Heisman.

[00:12:27] And it's like so –

[00:12:28] But it's two different voting people, though.

[00:12:31] It's not the same voting people that won the Heisman.

[00:12:33] That's why I think the Heisman – it should be special because if you think the guy is a Heisman, he should also win –

[00:12:41] Uh-oh.

[00:12:42] We have a dick rider amongst us.

[00:12:45] So all I'm saying is this.

[00:12:47] I think your Heisman season should be remembered after you win it.

[00:12:54] If this award goes to insert Ohio State quarterback, no one's going to remember.

[00:13:00] No one's – it's like your season has to have – I remember Charles Woodson with the rose in his mouth because he won the Heisman a year.

[00:13:09] Do you remember Michael Irvin doggy style?

[00:13:13] Start trying to get me sidetracked.

[00:13:14] No, no.

[00:13:15] The point being Cam Ward.

[00:13:16] You know, that's why I was trying to get back on track there.

[00:13:18] You know, he leads the league in – I mean, the nation in passing yards.

[00:13:23] You know, he's only 17th in attempts.

[00:13:26] You know, he has a 69% completion percentage.

[00:13:28] But it's all about Heisman moments, right?

[00:13:31] You know, so I brought up Michael Irvin because they were down four scores at Cal and he brought them back.

[00:13:38] You know, they were down to Virginia Tech.

[00:13:40] We all know that game, how that ended.

[00:13:42] You know, he brought them back, put them on his shoulder.

[00:13:45] The backpack guys that you like to talk about.

[00:13:47] Yeah, he's on my list.

[00:13:49] I got him.

[00:13:49] No, I know.

[00:13:50] He's one of my five.

[00:13:51] No, I'm just saying – no, I'm saying that I think he's the corner.

[00:13:54] Like, not to me per se, but I'm saying that –

[00:13:57] Oh, this is for us.

[00:13:59] Right, right, right.

[00:14:00] I'm talking about what the punt is thing.

[00:14:01] I'm talking about you and I.

[00:14:02] So from there, you know, as well, they're going to add Dylan Gabriel to this conversation.

[00:14:09] Once again, that's BS.

[00:14:11] I know.

[00:14:12] He's got the exact same – like, your season has to stand out.

[00:14:16] I'm sick of it just being a default.

[00:14:18] You go to big school and you get Heisman.

[00:14:21] It's BS.

[00:14:22] So when I look at Charles Wilson –

[00:14:23] Nobody wants to go outside the box.

[00:14:25] He's like, you mean to tell me what these guys are doing in Army and Navy is less –

[00:14:29] Dylan Gabriel, he was on his fourth school.

[00:14:32] I mean, Jesus, the man is 23 years old.

[00:14:34] He's two years removed from graduate.

[00:14:36] They got a ringer.

[00:14:37] He's not fucking special.

[00:14:38] It's like, yo, what's going on here?

[00:14:40] They got a ringer.

[00:14:41] Army and Navy is special.

[00:14:43] Miami has had terrible years back-to-back-to-back.

[00:14:47] Cam Ward coming in, doing it.

[00:14:49] That's special.

[00:14:50] Travis Hunter –

[00:14:51] My World Series.

[00:14:52] Going from Jackson State to Colorado and having an injury last year and then having a target on their back this year

[00:15:00] and having all the rumors and the hooplai and the celebrity and everything else.

[00:15:04] And that's why for me –

[00:15:05] And he goes out there and bops.

[00:15:06] And it's humility.

[00:15:06] And that's why for me, Shador is my Heisman winner right now.

[00:15:10] You know, because – mine.

[00:15:12] You know, not the media, not all that.

[00:15:14] Because you said ours.

[00:15:16] You know, Shador is my Heisman leader right now.

[00:15:18] You know, from the standpoint of when you look at Colorado, I truly believe – and this is just my opinion.

[00:15:25] I truly believe they're nothing without him.

[00:15:27] Like, you brought up Travis Hunter.

[00:15:28] That's why I had the reaction when you brought up Travis Hunter.

[00:15:31] Because if they had Travis Hunter, not Shador, I think they would probably be close to being a bad team.

[00:15:37] You know, and – but Travis Hunter does have a Heisman moment.

[00:15:41] You know, the fumble against Baylor at the end of the game in overtime to win that game,

[00:15:46] that's the stuff that Heisman seasons are built upon.

[00:15:49] But when Charles Woodson won the Heisman, you know, the rose in his mouth,

[00:15:52] he had that 78-yard punt return against Ohio State.

[00:15:56] You know, he had interceptions.

[00:15:58] He had deflections.

[00:15:59] Travis Hunter right now only has two or three interceptions right now.

[00:16:02] You know, and then as a receiver, you know, impressively, he's averaging 86 yards per game.

[00:16:08] You know, and, you know, but at the same time, that's good enough for 17th in the nation.

[00:16:13] So considering the fact –

[00:16:14] But he's playing both ways.

[00:16:15] No, I know.

[00:16:15] Hold on.

[00:16:16] Hold on.

[00:16:17] Hold on.

[00:16:17] You can't water it down.

[00:16:18] No, I'm not.

[00:16:19] That's what I'm about to say.

[00:16:20] I'm about to clean it up.

[00:16:21] I'm about to clean it up, but you keep interrupting me.

[00:16:24] I'm about to clean it up.

[00:16:25] You know what I'm saying?

[00:16:26] But the point being is that it's impressive because he's a corner that's playing wide receiver.

[00:16:32] So you have to factor that in, and that's why he's getting the love that he's getting.

[00:16:36] But for me, he's been injured.

[00:16:40] You know what I'm saying?

[00:16:41] So I have to count that.

[00:16:43] You know what I'm saying?

[00:16:43] I can't keep you in a conversation with people that are here all the time.

[00:16:48] You know, like if you're out – and that's not your fault by any means.

[00:16:52] But –

[00:16:52] They took him out the last game because they were up.

[00:16:54] They took him out of half.

[00:16:55] He's not on the field.

[00:16:56] Yeah, exactly.

[00:16:57] He's not on the field.

[00:16:58] No, he played the first half.

[00:17:00] They had the game in control, so they took him out for the second half.

[00:17:04] Welcome back, Dave.

[00:17:04] Dave, he played the first half, got injured.

[00:17:07] He wanted to go back in.

[00:17:09] They just wouldn't give him his helmet.

[00:17:10] He couldn't go back in.

[00:17:11] They won.

[00:17:12] Well, he was hurt.

[00:17:14] And they had the lead.

[00:17:15] So when they had the lead, it was like, cool, we're up 27-3.

[00:17:19] We don't need you back out there to re-aggravate your injury.

[00:17:22] He missed the whole second half of the Kansas State game.

[00:17:26] Because he got injured.

[00:17:28] Yes, and I have to factor that in.

[00:17:30] And he came back the next week.

[00:17:31] It wasn't like he's in B.

[00:17:32] It doesn't matter.

[00:17:34] If we're at the end of the year, if we're at the end of the year, and people have 12 whole

[00:17:41] games of greatness, and you have 10 games, one that you missed the whole half of, and

[00:17:47] all, like, I got to factor that in.

[00:17:49] I can't, you know, because availability is the best ability, right?

[00:17:53] So I have to factor that.

[00:17:55] You know what I'm saying?

[00:17:55] And I'm not saying that to knock him.

[00:17:59] I'm not saying that as a diss.

[00:18:01] I'm just saying that when other people are out here playing full games and being great for

[00:18:07] full games, Bryson Daly, Blake Horvath, whoever you want to bring up.

[00:18:11] You know what I'm saying?

[00:18:11] I have to factor that in, especially when, so if he was out here, let's say right now,

[00:18:17] he had six interceptions, and, you know, like he, or at the end of the season, he finishes

[00:18:23] with six or seven interceptions.

[00:18:25] He has eight receiving touchdowns and all this kind of stuff.

[00:18:29] He's definitely in the conversation.

[00:18:30] But I can't put you in the conversation just because you play both positions.

[00:18:35] But it's not because he plays, it's not just because he plays both positions.

[00:18:40] He plays both of them to the point where he's so dynamic that the entire game changes when

[00:18:47] he's not there.

[00:18:47] It's not like he's out there for gadget plays offensively, where he's just running jet

[00:18:52] suites and they throw him a bomb and he goes back to the sideline.

[00:18:56] He's out there for 80, 85, 90% of snaps.

[00:19:00] So even when you say he's not available for a couple of halves, well, hell, he's played

[00:19:05] two, he plays two moves in one.

[00:19:08] But that's what I'm saying.

[00:19:09] I can't, I can't include him in the conversation just because of that.

[00:19:12] He's playing two four games, essentially.

[00:19:14] So if you think about the quarterback, the quarterback, Kyle's quarterback, they play

[00:19:18] about 90 snaps a game.

[00:19:19] He gets about 45 passes.

[00:19:21] Doesn't play any defense.

[00:19:23] Travis Hunter will go out there and play all the offensive snaps.

[00:19:26] They go back and play all the defensive snaps.

[00:19:29] So in a regular game, he is playing two roles to, to the levels where the numbers match up

[00:19:35] to where he is essentially playing two games at once every week.

[00:19:39] No, I agree with that.

[00:19:41] And I'm with all that.

[00:19:42] I'm with all that.

[00:19:43] The math still math.

[00:19:45] I'm with all that.

[00:19:45] Just like if Cam Ward misses, this ain't a Travis Hunter thing.

[00:19:48] If Cam Ward misses a game, I'm going to say the same thing.

[00:19:50] If Dylan Gabriel misses a game, I'm going to say the same thing.

[00:19:53] I'm just saying that when, when we're talking about the best of the best and you're handing

[00:19:57] out some kind of MVP type award, all of that counts because you're all great.

[00:20:02] And we have to find those ways to nitpick somebody to get to the winner.

[00:20:06] That's all it is.

[00:20:08] Yeah.

[00:20:08] I just personally like to highlight why they are on the list versus things that take them

[00:20:14] off the list.

[00:20:14] No, I didn't take them off the list.

[00:20:16] I just said he wasn't my front runner.

[00:20:19] I'm just, I'm just saying he's not my front runner.

[00:20:22] I'm just, you know what I'm saying?

[00:20:23] Like he deserves, he deserves like if the season ended today, he absolutely deserves to be in

[00:20:28] New York.

[00:20:29] I just don't think he should win.

[00:20:32] He could be there.

[00:20:33] I just don't think he should win.

[00:20:34] Like I said, I, I just feel that the cam ward season, I think it's special to with the stats

[00:20:42] based on his stats, that's going to get him in the Heisman conversation because he's a

[00:20:47] quarterback.

[00:20:47] These are his stats.

[00:20:49] Right.

[00:20:49] The nation in these X categories.

[00:20:52] Right.

[00:20:52] I think the Heisman is a, like I said, is a, is a, I mean, realistically, realistically

[00:20:57] Gentry's probably going to win it as long as he doesn't get injured.

[00:21:00] I don't think so.

[00:21:01] If he breaks that record, if he breaks that, that record was broken when I was seven years

[00:21:04] old.

[00:21:05] Yo, didn't the old boy throw like 60 touchdowns in Hawaii back in the day, the guy who passed

[00:21:10] away a few years ago?

[00:21:12] Really?

[00:21:12] Timmy Chang?

[00:21:13] Oh, not Timmy Chang.

[00:21:14] Colt Brennan?

[00:21:15] Yeah.

[00:21:16] And I get that.

[00:21:17] That's not the same thing.

[00:21:18] I just figured like your argument, your argument.

[00:21:20] Their schedule was even worse than this Boise schedule.

[00:21:23] The point you made about the Boise State schedule, it always, it always goes against

[00:21:28] the, that, you know, that school that only plays like they play in their conference.

[00:21:35] Like everybody can't play in the SEC.

[00:21:38] Everybody can't play these vaunted programs.

[00:21:41] They're not everywhere.

[00:21:42] They're not 15 different versions of Ohio State from Florida to Washington and from Maine

[00:21:49] to Southern California.

[00:21:51] Like it's not, you're not littered with all of these high power programs.

[00:21:55] You play who you play, you play who's available.

[00:21:57] Because we're not going to give the Heisman to somebody who had 1,200 yards rushing and

[00:22:02] eight touchdowns just because they're playing at Auburn.

[00:22:06] No.

[00:22:06] Like you still got to do something special.

[00:22:08] I think Cam Ward's doing something special because Miami has been such a hit or miss

[00:22:13] school over the last few years.

[00:22:15] And almost like you say, I don't think they played the ACC championship game.

[00:22:18] I think they're on the way to the game.

[00:22:20] They've played in the ACC championship game.

[00:22:22] They just haven't won it since they joined the conference in 2004.

[00:22:25] So that's 20 years.

[00:22:27] So you got 20 years of, we have memories of the Catholic versus convicts.

[00:22:32] Because I think his, the way he's playing and she is reminding people that bringing the

[00:22:37] old guys back to the game and, you know, IE Michael Irvin on the ground doggy style,

[00:22:43] like a thought.

[00:22:44] I think Ashton Gentry is, like the fact that he is bringing up, you know, Barry Sanders,

[00:22:51] like that's a 40 year old, you know, 30 some year old award record.

[00:22:55] He might break that.

[00:22:56] But I'm not comparing Travis Hunter to Charles Woodson.

[00:23:02] Like every time we have this conversation is that's not what the conversation goes.

[00:23:05] It's not about how good is his season compared to Charles Woodson.

[00:23:09] It's about his season this year.

[00:23:10] No, I brought up the comparison.

[00:23:13] Because Mike might say, oh, he's not.

[00:23:15] Yeah, I was saying the reason that I brought it up was just for context.

[00:23:21] I brought it up for context saying like, hey, I remember that it's a memorable award.

[00:23:26] Think about Marcus Moriota won it.

[00:23:29] Was this season that dynamic and that memorable?

[00:23:32] Like every quarterback of like 10 years ago, they were all having the same season.

[00:23:37] And Louisville came back.

[00:23:40] 45 touchdowns, 4,800 yards.

[00:23:42] They were beating up on scrubs.

[00:23:44] They had a water down.

[00:23:46] He wasn't playing receiver as much as Travis either.

[00:23:49] You know what I mean?

[00:23:50] Like it was a change of pace or, you know.

[00:23:53] This isn't a Woodson comparison.

[00:23:54] I'm not comparing him to Woodson.

[00:23:56] I'm talking about the memory of the award.

[00:24:00] Bryce Young has a Heisman and couldn't make it through three games in his second year at pro football.

[00:24:06] Because he got the award standing behind a big offensive line throwing the ball to four or five guys on the outside.

[00:24:14] That's not a Heisman.

[00:24:15] That's not a special year.

[00:24:17] They didn't even play in the college football playoff that year.

[00:24:19] He just threw a lot of pretty passes.

[00:24:22] He did nothing else.

[00:24:24] No Heisman.

[00:24:25] Okay, you want to give me the Texas game with a young Quinn yours with the mullet?

[00:24:29] I give you that.

[00:24:30] But he needed so much help to get that win.

[00:24:32] So it's like, yo, I'm not talking about Woodson.

[00:24:36] I'm not trying to make a Woodson comparison.

[00:24:38] Y'all bringing up shit I'm not talking about.

[00:24:40] What are y'all doing?

[00:24:40] And ladies and gentlemen, my partner is the uneven kill.

[00:24:45] Focus.

[00:24:45] Focus.

[00:24:46] I'm a logical person.

[00:24:48] I'm not talking about Travis versus Charles.

[00:24:52] Every single sports conversation isn't a guy from today versus a guy from 20 years ago.

[00:24:57] We can have current day dynamic conversations.

[00:25:00] Stop trying to derail my conversation.

[00:25:02] I'm not talking about that.

[00:25:05] I'm talking about today.

[00:25:06] This guy's playing two games at once.

[00:25:08] He deserves.

[00:25:09] Like, people acting like everyone's doing that.

[00:25:11] I know high school kids who can't do that.

[00:25:13] They get tired.

[00:25:14] He's out there chasing people all over the place.

[00:25:16] Yeah.

[00:25:18] And that's why I said, but I think that, and this is a long if, if Alabama somehow wins

[00:25:26] out, then Jalen Milrow has to be a part of that conversation.

[00:25:31] Because the shot that clears.

[00:25:33] No, he doesn't.

[00:25:33] Not out to the shots.

[00:25:34] No, he does not have to be a part of the conversation.

[00:25:36] Yes, he does.

[00:25:37] Just going off of.

[00:25:38] No, because you're talking.

[00:25:40] No, no, no.

[00:25:40] Back up.

[00:25:41] Back up.

[00:25:41] Back up.

[00:25:42] The very start of this conversation.

[00:25:43] Back up.

[00:25:44] Back up.

[00:25:44] The very start of this conversation.

[00:25:46] The very start of this conversation.

[00:25:48] We talked about, you know, fuck the stats, all that kind of stuff.

[00:25:51] I brought up Diego Pavia.

[00:25:53] You know, all that kind of stuff.

[00:25:54] You brought up Army and Navy and what their quarterbacks are doing for them.

[00:25:57] That's what Jalen Milrow is doing, too.

[00:25:59] He is the offense.

[00:26:01] Regardless if it's.

[00:26:02] That's because they don't run the ball.

[00:26:04] It's not because they can't.

[00:26:05] They do run the ball.

[00:26:06] They just not.

[00:26:06] They just can't.

[00:26:08] They can't run the ball better than that.

[00:26:09] They just like throwing it because he's so physically dynamic.

[00:26:12] It's not the best play for them.

[00:26:14] It doesn't work.

[00:26:15] They have good running backs that just aren't performing.

[00:26:18] If they could have ran the ball effectively against Georgia, this wouldn't even be a conversation.

[00:26:23] And to Mike's point, if Jalen Milrow gets in the eyes of the conversation, it don't even matter because he had a quarterback anyway.

[00:26:32] You know what I'm saying?

[00:26:33] So you still get your wish because a quarterback went in the game.

[00:26:36] No.

[00:26:37] I'm sick of the quarterbacks being in there every single time when they're doing regular shit that the rest of the quarterbacks do.

[00:26:43] All right.

[00:26:43] So I guess, you know what?

[00:26:45] I'm going to just throw this paper to the side.

[00:26:47] I won't bring up Gert Nussmeyer.

[00:26:49] I won't bring up Drew Aller.

[00:26:51] No.

[00:26:52] No.

[00:26:53] Not at all.

[00:26:54] Nothing that they're doing.

[00:26:56] It's nothing that those guys are doing that their backup can't do.

[00:26:59] I guarantee you the backup quarterback at LSU can give you the same kind of stats as Nussmeyer.

[00:27:06] The backup guy at Penn State can do the exact same thing as Aller.

[00:27:10] He's not doing anything special.

[00:27:12] Maybe next year once they get some experience under their belt.

[00:27:16] Not right now.

[00:27:18] These quarterbacks are going to get overhyped and overqualified and people ignore the fact that they're like, yo, if you're –

[00:27:26] If you're –

[00:27:29] I'm just saying you're a little more being a full-on quarterback.

[00:27:33] I agree with you, but I'm just saying like if it was –

[00:27:35] I think that if it were today, they would give it to Cam Ward.

[00:27:39] If it was today, they would give it to Cam Ward.

[00:27:40] Cam Ward is like I said, he is bringing back a program that's been lacking in shine for a long time.

[00:27:47] And he's also leading in his category.

[00:27:51] It's like a rich tapestry, so to speak.

[00:27:57] So it's like that's what I mean.

[00:28:00] It's like they're having a season that's like, okay, this is a season to remember and the numbers are indicative of that.

[00:28:08] Yeah, Penn State is having a good year.

[00:28:11] And maybe if they go on this – they beat Ohio State and Allerz, the reason, maybe he gets thrown into the conversation.

[00:28:17] But it's like that would take him until the end of the year, essentially until these games happen.

[00:28:23] These other guys have been doing it all year, all year long.

[00:28:27] And like that's what I mean.

[00:28:28] It's like the Heisman isn't, oh, you jump into the race because you had a good game week eight.

[00:28:33] What were you doing before that?

[00:28:34] You just have regular, typical numbers because even K. Kutlick numbers look great.

[00:28:39] But is he having a Heisman season?

[00:28:42] I would say no.

[00:28:43] I think we use the phrase Heisman season.

[00:28:45] You know what I mean?

[00:28:46] Like something – it has to resonate.

[00:28:48] I would say no because you still need to have the big games too.

[00:28:51] And I don't mean numbers-wise.

[00:28:52] I mean the opponent.

[00:28:54] You know what I mean?

[00:28:54] Like he had the opportunity against Georgia, and that didn't go so well.

[00:28:59] So I can't put him in that conversation until maybe they get to the ACC championship game

[00:29:05] and beat Miami, but by then it's too late.

[00:29:07] Yeah, it's too late.

[00:29:09] That's my thing with Jalen Millro.

[00:29:11] Like they've already lost two games.

[00:29:14] Like what can you do to jump back in?

[00:29:16] Right.

[00:29:17] And that's why I say like I don't think that – I don't know if there's five people right now.

[00:29:24] Like you know what I mean?

[00:29:24] Like for me, it's Cam Ward – no order.

[00:29:27] Cam Ward, Shador, Travis Hunter is still in the conversation.

[00:29:34] He's just not my front runner.

[00:29:36] And then who's my fourth?

[00:29:38] Ashton Gentty.

[00:29:39] Those are the four right now.

[00:29:41] You know, like Army, Navy, you know, those are great stories.

[00:29:44] Those are great things to see.

[00:29:47] We're happy about it.

[00:29:48] I don't know if I can see –

[00:29:50] They're going to get big wins.

[00:29:51] They're going to potentially undefeated.

[00:29:52] Beat Notre Dame, and then we can revisit that.

[00:29:54] All kind of beat Notre Dame.

[00:29:56] People keep acting like Notre Dame is the shit.

[00:29:58] Their helmets are gold.

[00:30:00] That's it.

[00:30:01] That's it.

[00:30:02] They're not out there running through people.

[00:30:03] That is it.

[00:30:04] They literally lost to Northern Illinois.

[00:30:06] Riley Leonard can't throw.

[00:30:08] It's like, yo, it's just the name on the front.

[00:30:11] And that's all that –

[00:30:12] They're a more athletic version of Navy.

[00:30:16] We'll get to that later.

[00:30:17] We ain't got to talk about that right now.

[00:30:18] We'll get to that later.

[00:30:19] Well, like I said, I just think that the award is just –

[00:30:23] It's been dumbed down to where it's basically the college football playoff.

[00:30:29] You pluck out a few people who are in that playoff,

[00:30:31] and you put them on the stage in New York,

[00:30:33] and then you have some dudes screaming boomer sooner

[00:30:36] if there's a dude from Oklahoma that wins.

[00:30:38] And that's it.

[00:30:39] Fuck boomer and fuck sooner.

[00:30:41] How about that?

[00:30:41] It's like there's no real –

[00:30:43] There's no real, like, just desire to, like, really encapsulate

[00:30:51] what the award means and find a guy that really follows that mold.

[00:30:55] A guy playing both sides of the ball, even though he's injured, coming back.

[00:31:01] And I think Shador and Travis, if they were undefeated,

[00:31:05] I think people would –

[00:31:07] I think I would have them both.

[00:31:10] But just because they're not, I'm just going to go with the guy I think

[00:31:13] that's doing more as far as a college story.

[00:31:17] I still think Shador is going to be the first quarterback taken.

[00:31:21] I don't know if he's going to be the number one pick because he'll get it.

[00:31:22] I think he's going to be the first quarterback taken.

[00:31:25] But I think the Heisman and, like, the –

[00:31:29] like, just the story and the –

[00:31:31] like I said, like, just –

[00:31:32] I don't know what to keep beating this word up,

[00:31:34] but, like, the special aspect of it.

[00:31:35] I think Travis Hunter kind of embodies that aspect of it.

[00:31:38] For sure.

[00:31:39] For sure.

[00:31:40] For sure.

[00:31:41] All right.

[00:31:41] So moving on.

[00:31:42] And allow me to give out a very big pause before I click this button.

[00:31:52] All right.

[00:31:53] So Sunday –

[00:31:54] we're going to start with Sunday Night Football because people love talking about these teams.

[00:31:58] So let's talk about it.

[00:31:59] You got Dallas going on the road to Santa Clara, even though we always say San Jose.

[00:32:07] You know, they're going to play the 49ers.

[00:32:10] The 49ers are already playing playoff games.

[00:32:13] Dallas is coming off the bye week.

[00:32:15] Hopefully they get some of their players back.

[00:32:17] Micah Parsons.

[00:32:18] The Ron Blanchard.

[00:32:19] Nine wins might win the NFC West.

[00:32:21] Uh-oh.

[00:32:23] No, go ahead.

[00:32:24] Yeah.

[00:32:25] Nine wins might win the NFC West.

[00:32:27] So I think San Francisco's sitting good.

[00:32:29] I still think they're going to beat Dallas.

[00:32:32] Yeah.

[00:32:34] You know, I think that at the end of the day, Dallas is just not a good matchup for San Francisco.

[00:32:42] They haven't been for quite some time.

[00:32:45] You know, and I don't think we're going to see anything different, you know, this weekend.

[00:32:50] I think San Francisco's just going to run the ball down their throat.

[00:32:54] And when Dallas done throwing it up, they're going to run it right back down there again.

[00:32:59] They're going to come out the stomach, all that kind of stuff.

[00:33:01] They're going to bully Dallas up and down the field.

[00:33:04] You know, we know that CeeDee Lamb doesn't make appearances in big games.

[00:33:08] You know, I guess Micah and Bland are out now, you know, to our resident cowboy.

[00:33:13] Shout out to the One Mike podcast, dropping those gems.

[00:33:17] You know, I think that it's going to be a close game just because I don't even know who's, you know, like, suiting up for the 49ers these days.

[00:33:29] You know, Debo might play.

[00:33:31] You know, he's got the pneumonia going on.

[00:33:33] He's been practicing, so he might play.

[00:33:34] Kittle should play.

[00:33:37] I don't know.

[00:33:38] I'm just – give me the 49ers.

[00:33:40] Yeah, I'll take the 49ers just because I think Dallas, like I said, you do the stats.

[00:33:46] I tend to do the mood and the groove.

[00:33:49] I just don't think Dallas, like, believes week to week that they're a good football team.

[00:33:57] It just doesn't feel top to bottom.

[00:34:00] I think Jerry not shutting up.

[00:34:02] Jerry just constantly getting on it.

[00:34:04] Like, the statement he made, like, I'm paraphrasing, but essentially that he doesn't know if Derrick Henry would have been.

[00:34:10] He wouldn't be having that season this year, yeah.

[00:34:14] It's like, dog, just say, hey, I wish I could have made it work, but, I mean, you guys keep asking about a guy that's not on my team, so I can't keep talking about him.

[00:34:24] Legally and just for the sake of my team, I'm not going to keep answering Derrick Henry questions.

[00:34:29] But he lacks self-awareness to the point where he doesn't even know how ridiculous that sounds.

[00:34:35] Like, I don't think my team is good enough to get Derrick Henry yards is what he just said.

[00:34:42] I don't think my quarterback is good enough throwing the ball.

[00:34:45] And he ain't lying either way.

[00:34:46] Regardless, like, I don't think he should be saying it, but he's telling the truth.

[00:34:49] He picked these dudes.

[00:34:51] He signed the contracts.

[00:34:52] He pays.

[00:34:53] He signs the checks with his name on it.

[00:34:56] Like, Jerry Jones Corporation or whatever the LLC is or nonprofit or whatever it is, it's his money.

[00:35:03] He's sitting around, like, having conversations like this.

[00:35:05] Man, why are you signing him?

[00:35:06] I think the loser of this game is just in a bad space.

[00:35:13] You know, the 49ers already 1-2 in the division, you know, coming off the loss against Kansas City last week.

[00:35:19] You know, Dallas, you know, Washington's a little bit better than we thought they would be.

[00:35:23] You know, Philly isn't necessarily good, but they're right in the mix.

[00:35:28] They're just – the thing with Philly is, like, those guys are just there.

[00:35:32] So maybe they'll play great.

[00:35:34] Maybe they'll play average.

[00:35:35] But the fact that they are all there and they're that talented, like, they have good problems in Philly.

[00:35:41] They do.

[00:35:43] Dallas has, like, bewildering problems.

[00:35:48] I don't even know how the adjectives are describing problems they have.

[00:35:50] And everybody was excited for this number one versus number two draft pick matchup.

[00:35:57] But now it might not happen.

[00:35:59] You know.

[00:35:59] Chicago, Washington.

[00:36:00] Yeah, we have to see if Jaden Daniels is going to play.

[00:36:03] You know, he's got the hurt ribs.

[00:36:04] Thank goodness, you know, there's no fracture or anything like that.

[00:36:08] People keep on telling me, you know, these Scamander fans keep telling me,

[00:36:12] even if Marcus Mariota starts, we're going to win this game.

[00:36:17] No.

[00:36:18] You know what I'm saying?

[00:36:19] Give me the Bears.

[00:36:21] You know, I'm going to take the Bears, you know, because even if Jaden Daniels does play,

[00:36:26] I don't know how effective he's going to be throwing the ball with the hurt ribs.

[00:36:29] Then that's going to take away probably some of the leg action, the pause.

[00:36:34] You know, it's going to take away some of his running game, if you will.

[00:36:37] So, so he's a tough kid.

[00:36:40] You know, we'll see if we got the pain management going on.

[00:36:42] But I'm going to take the Bears.

[00:36:46] I'll take Washington.

[00:36:48] Okay.

[00:36:48] Hope you're right.

[00:36:49] Hope you're right.

[00:36:49] I just think they're having, I think they're just having a better season, I think.

[00:36:55] Like, you know, for lack of a better, I think the vibes are better.

[00:36:57] And honestly, I think, I think Jaden will play.

[00:36:59] If he can play, they can shoot him up and pad him up enough.

[00:37:02] I think he'll play.

[00:37:04] Yeah.

[00:37:05] I was hoping that DeKalen Metcalf would play, but I'm not sure if he's actually going to or not.

[00:37:10] So we'll have to wait for word of that.

[00:37:12] But this is a chance for Jackson Smith and Jigba to show the world why Seattle drafted him.

[00:37:18] Now.

[00:37:19] It would be nice.

[00:37:20] Josh Allen somehow still hasn't turned the ball over.

[00:37:25] I don't know what we're doing.

[00:37:27] This is bizarro world where he's not turning the ball over.

[00:37:30] Patrick Mahomes has more interceptions than touchdowns.

[00:37:33] I don't know.

[00:37:34] I feel like I'm transported to some kind of multiverse, but I'm going to take the bills.

[00:37:38] I'll take the bills to win this game.

[00:37:40] Yeah, I'm right there with you.

[00:37:42] You know, Seattle should get some defensive reinforcements back, but I'm not trusting them just yet.

[00:37:48] You know, and I think that to your point a couple of weeks ago, Amari Cooper is going to make life easier for those other receivers.

[00:37:55] So it's literally it's so much space.

[00:37:57] You got two tight ends, three wide receivers, solid running game and a six foot five, 250 pound quarterback who doesn't turn the ball over.

[00:38:05] Yeah.

[00:38:06] And if James Cook ain't being effective, you know, hell, Ray Davis has been showing off the last couple of weeks.

[00:38:12] Ray Davis, like he out there running for rookie.

[00:38:14] Remember, he ran for 280 against Florida last year.

[00:38:17] You know, so there you have it.

[00:38:19] You know, I don't know why I'm about to say what I'm about to say, but I'm going to say it.

[00:38:25] Give me the Eagles.

[00:38:26] You know, I still don't trust Cincinnati.

[00:38:29] Joe Burrow's having a great season.

[00:38:31] You know, he's having great statistics.

[00:38:33] Everything, you know, looks good in Cincinnati.

[00:38:35] But that defense, the thing that I am scared of, though, the thing that I am scared of is that the Eagles have not scored in the first quarter of the season yet.

[00:38:45] I think last week they had had at the first five games.

[00:38:51] Yeah.

[00:38:51] Something like 22 yards in their first drives.

[00:38:54] And I don't know why people keep hiring and telling more.

[00:38:57] You know, it's like taking the dude that got fired at Home Depot and hiring him at Lowe's.

[00:39:03] Well, you know, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

[00:39:07] Yeah, but if all of y'all suck, it don't matter who gets along with who.

[00:39:11] Those dudes over there, they're intellectually inferior.

[00:39:14] I was thinking Ellen DeGeneres or Macaulay Culkin.

[00:39:17] You can come to our program and we'll show you how it's done.

[00:39:21] I think a lot of it is where it comes from.

[00:39:24] Yeah, I think that I think that Cincinnati's defense is playing a little better.

[00:39:28] They got some injured people back, but I still don't trust them yet.

[00:39:32] Jalen Hurts probably had the worst game of the season this year, probably had the worst game of his career even last week.

[00:39:38] And that was against the Giants.

[00:39:39] So, you know, I don't know if this is the new phenomenon, but the Eagles might want to take some of those wing T concepts from Navy and just run the ball.

[00:39:49] Man, just get a goddamn ball to Saquon.

[00:39:52] Just give it to Saquon and move out the way.

[00:39:54] Just get out of the way.

[00:39:55] Like, it doesn't need to be – like I said, football's not cute.

[00:39:59] Oh, okay.

[00:39:59] I guess that's the reason.

[00:40:02] And that's why they keep hiring Kelly Moore.

[00:40:04] It's been solved.

[00:40:07] So, remember last week I brought up Patrick Mahomes.

[00:40:10] And I put the word out in the streets, you know what I'm saying?

[00:40:13] I let it hit the wire that it's time for some bounty gate.

[00:40:16] Well, wouldn't you know he's playing against the Raiders this week?

[00:40:19] So, if there is a team that will bounty gate him, it'll be the Raiders.

[00:40:23] Now –

[00:40:23] Not these Raiders.

[00:40:24] With the way that Kansas City's offense is looking this year, is this going to look like Christmas again?

[00:40:32] I think Kansas City's going to have some short field opportunities and Mahomes is going to capitalize.

[00:40:46] I think after –

[00:40:47] Upset alert.

[00:40:48] After a couple of touchdowns, the Raiders have nothing.

[00:40:54] Upset alert.

[00:40:55] There you go.

[00:40:56] They have – who are they bringing this week to be quarterback?

[00:41:01] They brought in some bum.

[00:41:04] Probably used to play for the Jets or something like that.

[00:41:08] The Raiders?

[00:41:09] Yeah, I think Aiden O'Connell might –

[00:41:11] I think he was high R.

[00:41:15] They did pick up somebody.

[00:41:16] I can't remember off the top of it.

[00:41:17] Oh, Desmond Ritter.

[00:41:19] That's who it was.

[00:41:20] It was Desmond Ritter, yeah.

[00:41:21] No, Zappy went to Cleveland.

[00:41:23] Zappy went to Cleveland.

[00:41:24] Yeah, it was Desmond Ritter.

[00:41:25] Yeah.

[00:41:25] You got Desmond Ritter.

[00:41:27] And I like his motivation.

[00:41:28] I wish he would have done better in Atlanta.

[00:41:30] You know, it would have been kind of cool to get more than one year.

[00:41:32] Look, you can say what you want about Desmond Ritter, but this is what I'm going to say about Desmond Ritter.

[00:41:38] He went to Arizona and got beat out by Clayton Toon.

[00:41:42] A lot of times they just stick with the guys already in the program.

[00:41:45] Yeah, a fifth-rounder that was in the program for a year.

[00:41:51] That's enough.

[00:41:52] That's why sometimes it's like when guys want to go to other teams in the free agency, like, listen, man, that other team that I love you like the team that drafted you.

[00:41:59] So you figure out how to make it work with the team that drafted you, and you get your opportunity.

[00:42:04] But there's your hot take right there.

[00:42:06] Unfortunately, for him, the Atlanta front office, for some reason, drafted a quarterback when they could have just had him as a backup to Kurt, but neither here nor there.

[00:42:15] But yeah.

[00:42:16] But you know what's funny about this game?

[00:42:18] Kansas City is going to look like Kansas City.

[00:42:20] I'm thinking maybe not like the game they had against Chicago last year was like 31 points in the first half.

[00:42:25] But it's going to be – it's only so much that Max Crockett can do by himself.

[00:42:32] Oh, that's tonight.

[00:42:33] I didn't even realize it was tonight.

[00:42:34] My bad.

[00:42:35] Rutgers and USC.

[00:42:36] USC, yeah.

[00:42:37] Yeah, I thought it was tomorrow.

[00:42:38] Yeah, but Patrick Mahomes, if you look at the QBR, it's kind of funny because him and Gardner Minshew actually have the same QBR right now.

[00:42:47] But I'm going to take the Chiefs.

[00:42:48] I'm going to take the Chiefs.

[00:42:50] It's going to be the Jalen McMillan show down in Tampa because Mike Evans is out.

[00:42:56] You know, Godwin's out for the season because his ass was on the field when he shouldn't have been.

[00:43:00] You know.

[00:43:00] That was a bad look.

[00:43:01] Yeah, that was the – Ritter and Rattler, the same dudes.

[00:43:06] But you know, but when I look at it –

[00:43:09] Yo, that's – yo, Mike, that's facts.

[00:43:11] That's –

[00:43:12] Yeah, that's facts.

[00:43:14] Hey, this is history.

[00:43:15] This might be the first time you and Mike ever agreed.

[00:43:19] I like that.

[00:43:20] You know what I'm saying?

[00:43:21] But this injuries – you don't want to wish injury on anybody, right?

[00:43:26] You know, but long term, this might be a good thing for Tampa.

[00:43:30] You know, you get Jalen McMillan some snaps.

[00:43:32] You know, the rookie that you picked up wide receiver from Washington.

[00:43:35] You get the news.

[00:43:36] Your guys like Sean Tucker, Rashard White, Bucky Irvin.

[00:43:39] It forces you to have to run the ball, you know, if Bucky Irvin plays because he's got the turf toe going on.

[00:43:45] But I'm going with the Falcons.

[00:43:47] You know, Justin Simmons is doubtful, you know.

[00:43:50] But Kirk Cousins threw for 500 yards against them a couple of weeks ago.

[00:43:54] I don't think that's going to be necessary this time.

[00:43:56] But I got the Falcons.

[00:43:58] Yeah, I'll take the Falcons.

[00:43:59] That was an easy pick.

[00:44:00] Honestly, with the injuries –

[00:44:03] Okay, just different views.

[00:44:05] No drink.

[00:44:07] The injuries to the wide receivers is just going to –

[00:44:09] and I like Baker Mayfield.

[00:44:11] I think he's a gamer, but –

[00:44:13] They play bake.

[00:44:14] They just – there's only so much you can do without your weapons.

[00:44:18] You saw Matthew Stafford look like last night when he got his weapons back.

[00:44:21] He threw four touchdowns.

[00:44:23] He hadn't done four touchdowns total all year.

[00:44:25] So it's like sometimes you need your weapons.

[00:44:28] For sure, 100%.

[00:44:30] You know what I'm saying?

[00:44:31] So then from there, you know what I'm saying?

[00:44:33] Ravens, Browns, I ain't got much else to say.

[00:44:36] But good luck, Jameis.

[00:44:37] You're going to need it.

[00:44:41] Yeah, that was a no-brainer.

[00:44:43] I thought you kind of knew that with my silence of that creep.

[00:44:46] Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:44:48] So then we got –

[00:44:49] I was thinking of a tiny score to tie and run in the bottom of the A's.

[00:44:53] Yeah, my stream fell out on me.

[00:44:55] Now my screen is black.

[00:44:56] So I guess I'm back to Louisville and D.C.

[00:44:59] But, you know, Colton, Texas, first place on the line.

[00:45:03] You know, so, you know, what you got?

[00:45:06] If they don't call a bunch of drag routes, check downs,

[00:45:10] and slants for Anthony Richardson to get him some easy passes.

[00:45:14] They can.

[00:45:15] Those are the ones that he doesn't complete.

[00:45:17] Oh, yes.

[00:45:18] Don't mind.

[00:45:20] Deep post route, deep over route.

[00:45:22] So I'm going to take Houston.

[00:45:23] I'm going to take Houston because there's only so many times you can go out there

[00:45:27] and play 48, 50% completion.

[00:45:31] Like, it just – it's not likely that he's going to hit multiple bombs,

[00:45:36] especially this late in the season where people just have all this tape like,

[00:45:40] yo, this is a lot.

[00:45:42] And we got a lot of tape that shows that he can't make certain throws.

[00:45:47] We'll just defend those – we'll defend the throws that he can make,

[00:45:51] and, like, we'll call it good.

[00:45:53] And then he's going to run.

[00:45:54] He's going to try to run somebody over.

[00:45:57] Well, I would like to know – the one thing that I would like to know,

[00:45:59] I'm going to pick the Texans too begrudgingly because I don't know if I'm

[00:46:02] going to see Tank Dell again this weekend because he was nowhere to be found

[00:46:06] in the state of Wisconsin last week.

[00:46:08] You know, so this is a Stephon Diggs game because there's no Jair Alexander

[00:46:13] to lock him down on the other side of the field.

[00:46:16] So I got Houston lighting up the scoreboard.

[00:46:20] Packers and Jags.

[00:46:23] Give me the pack.

[00:46:27] Give me the pack.

[00:46:28] You know, I do want to see Green Bay play a game where their defense

[00:46:32] isn't getting a lot of turnovers.

[00:46:34] They remind me a lot of – I'm not – okay, before I say –

[00:46:40] before I got to preface it.

[00:46:42] I'm not saying what you heard me say.

[00:46:45] So they remind me a lot of the Saints from 2009 that won the Super Bowl

[00:46:50] because, you know, they're not necessarily a good defense.

[00:46:53] They're just very opportunistic and they just make –

[00:46:55] Come on, Bounty Gate Saints.

[00:46:57] Well, forget the Bounty Gate part, but I'm just talking about like –

[00:47:01] Maybe that's why they were so motivated.

[00:47:03] Well, no, I'm just talking about the turnovers.

[00:47:05] They force the turnovers, but if they don't turn you over,

[00:47:08] they don't stop you.

[00:47:09] Pause.

[00:47:10] It's a good one to get the ball.

[00:47:12] Yeah, but –

[00:47:13] Yeah, so I'm asking dudes all three quarters and then dudes get tired

[00:47:16] of running the ball and they get foibles in the fourth.

[00:47:19] But what you did not hear me say was they remind me of the Super Bowl champs

[00:47:23] as in this team is going to the Super Bowl.

[00:47:25] That's what I didn't say.

[00:47:27] Oh, yeah.

[00:47:27] I don't think anyone's going to jump to that conclusion.

[00:47:29] Do you understand?

[00:47:30] No, people be doing that.

[00:47:31] Trust me.

[00:47:31] People be doing that.

[00:47:40] My guy, Mason Rudolph, is going to start again.

[00:47:44] The problem is you're playing the Lions, so moving on.

[00:47:48] Jets and Patriots.

[00:47:50] Can Aaron Rodgers hit 300 yards for one?

[00:47:53] Can Aaron Rodgers win a game for two?

[00:47:55] For three, can Aaron Rodgers play a game without throwing an interception?

[00:47:59] I'm going to say no, no, no, no, no.

[00:48:05] I'm going to take New England.

[00:48:06] I know I saw a rumor today that Gerard Mayo could be out.

[00:48:12] I don't know if that was satire.

[00:48:13] I don't know why Robert Kraft would do that.

[00:48:15] I don't think he would do that to one of his guys.

[00:48:19] But Mike Rabel is out there.

[00:48:21] But, yeah, I'll take New England.

[00:48:23] I would call it an upset.

[00:48:26] You know, they've been there for years.

[00:48:27] It might not be an upset.

[00:48:28] I just think that the Jets are better constructed offensively, their weapons,

[00:48:38] even Drake May being young.

[00:48:40] Aaron Rodgers, he did a rollout last week, and he was not moving very fast.

[00:48:45] It was the slowest rollout.

[00:48:47] It was like, who was a – like Vinny Testaverde.

[00:48:53] It looked very slow.

[00:48:55] He was like – he escaped the pocket.

[00:48:57] It was like – it's taking him a long time to kind of come around

[00:49:01] and get his body squared and throw this fast.

[00:49:03] It's like he's not running at all.

[00:49:05] So I think – and that's probably part of it is like I don't know how well he can move.

[00:49:09] I don't know if – I don't think it's an accuser.

[00:49:11] I think it might just be an acing.

[00:49:12] Like, yo, I'm not trying to run at all.

[00:49:15] And you know he's not like – he's not going to put himself on the line.

[00:49:19] So I think if they contain him and they can just kind of keep the clamps on Devontae Adams as much as they can,

[00:49:27] I think they can win.

[00:49:28] Like I said, I just feel like –

[00:49:30] I don't feel – I don't feel like the Jets have any leadership anywhere,

[00:49:35] and I don't think they have the kind of – because sometimes you can mask what your –

[00:49:40] your problems your teams have if you're scoring points.

[00:49:43] Like if you're going out there back-to-back drives, putting eight, nine plays together,

[00:49:47] getting touchdowns, you know, like you can mask the fact that you guys don't get along.

[00:49:52] You can mask the fact that somebody's going to lose their job.

[00:49:55] Like in the first game against New England when – like the whole hug thing.

[00:49:59] But because they scored a few points.

[00:50:01] I think if they don't come out and score these points,

[00:50:05] then I think New England young quarterback out there just throwing it around,

[00:50:09] seeing what they can do.

[00:50:11] I give them a shot.

[00:50:12] Now, if you could turn Madden into real life, the Jets might make the Super Bowl,

[00:50:17] you know, but this is real life.

[00:50:19] So – but I'm going to pick the Jets to win this game.

[00:50:22] But, you know, you know, it is what it is.

[00:50:25] So, Tua turned the ball – Tua Tagovaiola is back this weekend.

[00:50:32] You know, he's got the Cardinals coming in.

[00:50:34] Short week, Monday night football, coming across those time zones.

[00:50:38] You know, so they should get off to a slow enough start that Tua should be able to find his footing.

[00:50:43] You know, the last three games, Marvin – Marvin Marison Jr., you know, five catches for 57 yards.

[00:50:53] I don't know if that's rookie need to do better.

[00:50:56] Quarterback need to do better.

[00:50:58] Coordinator need to do – somebody need to do better.

[00:51:00] Give me the Dolphins.

[00:51:01] That's a coordinator thing.

[00:51:04] I know you want the quarterback to make things happen, but the coordinator has to say, hey, this is the read.

[00:51:12] We need to get – this shot needs to go to Marvin Harrison.

[00:51:16] Marvin, you got to win off the line of scrimmage, so forth and so on.

[00:51:19] I'm going to take Arizona.

[00:51:20] I just don't know how – I don't know how open the playbook is going to be for Tua.

[00:51:28] And I don't know if he's going to have – I don't know.

[00:51:36] You know, I see sometimes it takes a hit.

[00:51:37] You got to get hit to get in the game.

[00:51:40] I don't know if that's a good move for him.

[00:51:43] Some players get it.

[00:51:44] Like, you know, you got a running back, come off injury.

[00:51:46] You give him a handoff, you know, and he gets to make contact.

[00:51:50] And he's like, you get the sweat going, you get the blood flowing.

[00:51:53] I don't know if that's a good thing for Tua.

[00:51:55] And I don't know how open the playbook is going to be.

[00:51:58] I don't know if he's going to scramble and try to create plays.

[00:52:01] You know, it just seems like he has to have some rust and some apprehensiveness.

[00:52:07] How good of a wide receiver is Tyreek Hill?

[00:52:12] From what people are saying, like I said, I don't – I mean, I can't evaluate, like, his feet or anything like that or his release.

[00:52:18] I just know, like, his speed is so ridiculous that, you know, it might be a situation where he's just so fast he can just get by people and get open.

[00:52:26] I know, but I just see some of these wide receivers without top quarterbacks and they're able to perform.

[00:52:33] And, you know, like once – like, Tua just must be the offense, you know.

[00:52:37] So Mike McDaniel, I'm not sure where he stands.

[00:52:41] Like, I don't think he's on the hot seat or anything like that.

[00:52:44] Hold on, hold on, hold on.

[00:52:45] We got a situation brewing in L.A.

[00:52:52] We looked like we had a home run.

[00:52:57] And are they saying that he reached – oh, yeah, he definitely reached over the wall.

[00:53:01] So it's going to be a double.

[00:53:04] He's a Dodger fan at that.

[00:53:06] So what are we looking like?

[00:53:08] What's the count?

[00:53:09] So right now, top of the ninth, two outs.

[00:53:13] That's why I say we got something brewing because I thought it might have gone over the fence he caught it.

[00:53:17] But the Dodger fan reached into the field of play, caught the ball.

[00:53:22] So that is a ground rule double.

[00:53:26] Okay.

[00:53:27] Score.

[00:53:27] And he is out.

[00:53:29] Like, he literally got that ball and he's leaving.

[00:53:31] Okay.

[00:53:32] I don't know if they kicked him out, but, like, he caught the ball and, like, he's packing everything up.

[00:53:37] So we had extra innings of what?

[00:53:39] No, because the Dodgers are still going to get their opportunity to bat.

[00:53:42] There's two outs for the Yankees, top of the ninth.

[00:53:47] Got a man on second.

[00:53:49] All right.

[00:53:50] I think Torres is up to bat.

[00:53:52] All right.

[00:53:53] Damn right, go Dodgers.

[00:53:55] You know, I know.

[00:53:58] Mr. Logical going to try to act like he repping the Yankees, but, you know.

[00:54:03] There's only been a couple of baseball games.

[00:54:07] But, you know, 3-3 Boise and UNLV right now as well.

[00:54:12] What is Jim Harbaugh afraid of?

[00:54:17] Like, he's coaching to not lose versus coaching to win.

[00:54:23] You know, I watched that game against Arizona.

[00:54:26] I don't know if he has the trust in Justin Herbert that.

[00:54:30] He looked like he did on the final drive of the game.

[00:54:32] That was the one game that they looked like they actually opened up the playbook.

[00:54:35] And then they got downfield and decided, let's just kick a field goal.

[00:54:42] You know?

[00:54:42] But they're going to beat the Saints, you know.

[00:54:45] But J.K. Dobbins, I'm watching him because, you know, remember the first two games of the season?

[00:54:50] He was coming off these injuries.

[00:54:52] J.K. Dobbins is back.

[00:54:53] You know, 27 in the first two games, 27 rushes, 266 yards.

[00:55:00] Since then, since then, 68 rushes, 212 yards.

[00:55:06] So, I don't know.

[00:55:08] Halfway to 1,000.

[00:55:10] You got to be optimistic.

[00:55:11] So, guess who playing this weekend, Mr. Logical?

[00:55:18] Carolina.

[00:55:18] Yes, you done brought up his name a few times.

[00:55:22] Bryce Young is back.

[00:55:25] And his ass is going to go back to the ground over and over and over again.

[00:55:33] As the Broncos walk all over the Panthers.

[00:55:38] I've just seen something strange happen in this baseball game.

[00:55:41] But you got the Broncos.

[00:55:42] You know what?

[00:55:43] I mean, just for taking my division, I'll take Denver.

[00:55:49] Like I said, I'm not a big fan.

[00:55:51] I'm taking Denver to cover the 10 and a half.

[00:55:54] 10 and a half?

[00:55:55] Yeah.

[00:55:57] They're covering.

[00:55:58] The Steelers, I don't know if the Steelers are going to get Olave.

[00:56:01] Like, I think they would rather have Cooper Cup, but we'll see.

[00:56:04] I don't think the Steelers are going to really –

[00:56:06] I don't think the Steelers are in the market to get –

[00:56:10] Well, I know they tried to get IU.

[00:56:12] You know, their name was brought up –

[00:56:14] I don't know how true it was, but their name was brought up with Devontae Evans.

[00:56:17] So, I mean, Adam.

[00:56:19] Everybody in America knew.

[00:56:21] Even people who didn't watch sports said he wasn't going anywhere but the Jets.

[00:56:24] He wasn't going to New Orleans.

[00:56:25] He was going with Aaron.

[00:56:27] He tried the David Carr experiment in Las Vegas.

[00:56:30] He wasn't going to go.

[00:56:31] Even if he could have had ultimate health in New Orleans,

[00:56:36] their car wasn't going to get Devontae Adams there.

[00:56:42] Yeah, so, yeah.

[00:56:43] Okay.

[00:56:44] But Pittsburgh –

[00:56:46] I got Pittsburgh beating the Giants.

[00:56:48] Like I said, I don't know if New Orleans is going to sell off their team.

[00:56:55] I mean, it probably would be a good look.

[00:56:57] I don't know what kind of wide receiver they want as their number two guy.

[00:57:03] Yeah.

[00:57:05] No, the Steelers are going to win that game.

[00:57:07] We might see Drew Locke again, you know, because the Giants might need another spark, if you will.

[00:57:13] So, you know, I'll keep my eye out on that.

[00:57:15] You know, I'll keep my eye out on that, you know.

[00:57:17] But, you know.

[00:57:19] But, of course, it's that time.

[00:57:25] You know.

[00:57:26] It's time for upset alert.

[00:57:28] You know what I'm saying?

[00:57:29] Uncle, he's talking all this trash to me.

[00:57:31] He ain't want to give me my credit for my 10-3 week.

[00:57:33] You know what I'm saying?

[00:57:34] So, you know, we're going to try it again, I guess.

[00:57:36] First and goal, UNLV.

[00:57:37] You know, so upset alert.

[00:57:40] Cincinnati.

[00:57:42] Cincinnati over Colorado.

[00:57:46] Buffalo over Ohio.

[00:57:49] Wisconsin over Penn State.

[00:57:52] Kansas over who?

[00:57:54] Huh?

[00:57:55] What did you say?

[00:57:56] What was your second one?

[00:57:57] Buffalo over Ohio.

[00:58:00] You know, Wisconsin over Penn State.

[00:58:03] Kansas State.

[00:58:06] Sparty.

[00:58:07] Michigan State.

[00:58:08] And Michigan.

[00:58:09] So, those are the covers.

[00:58:10] Those are the covers.

[00:58:11] So, for my actual upsets.

[00:58:13] And it's so stupid that I even have to say this.

[00:58:16] BYU over UCF.

[00:58:18] How is UCF favorite over?

[00:58:21] I don't know if you saw that.

[00:58:22] UCF is a two and a half point favorite over BYU.

[00:58:25] Yeah, okay.

[00:58:26] I said cover, Dave.

[00:58:27] Calm down.

[00:58:28] Put them panties away.

[00:58:30] I said cover.

[00:58:30] I didn't say they were going to win.

[00:58:32] You know, UNC.

[00:58:35] The Tar Heels getting off the mat.

[00:58:37] Matt against the Hoos.

[00:58:39] You know what I'm saying?

[00:58:40] Like, Matt Brown turning the season around.

[00:58:43] Third oldest FBS rivalry in history.

[00:58:46] 128 games played.

[00:58:47] There's some hate here.

[00:58:49] Oklahoma State over Baylor.

[00:58:54] You know, Texas Tech over TCU.

[00:58:57] And Auburn over Kentucky.

[00:58:59] Kentucky.

[00:59:00] So, you know, go Dodgers.

[00:59:02] You know, but so let's get right to it.

[00:59:05] So, two undefeated teams in the SEC.

[00:59:08] Yes, SFSU is going to lose.

[00:59:09] They're going to lose.

[00:59:10] Yes.

[00:59:10] 21-point underdogs at Miami.

[00:59:12] They're going to lose.

[00:59:14] Miami's probably going to cover.

[00:59:17] LSU and A&M.

[00:59:19] You know, the two undefeated teams in the SEC.

[00:59:22] Somebody is still going to be alive for the playoffs after this.

[00:59:25] The other one might be in a little bit of trouble.

[00:59:29] What say you, Mr. Logical?

[00:59:31] I'm just looking at this game.

[00:59:36] I'll send you a message.

[00:59:37] That's now you and LV.

[00:59:38] Uh, baseball right now.

[00:59:41] Uh, they walked Torres to get to Judge.

[00:59:45] So, they put two runners.

[00:59:46] They put a runner on base to pitch to Aaron Judge.

[00:59:53] And popped up.

[00:59:56] So, it looks like a smart move to.

[00:59:59] He hit it high as hell in the air.

[01:00:01] It took a long time to come down.

[01:00:03] And for all y'all Heisman trackers out there so far,

[01:00:07] four minutes and 30 seconds left in the first quarter.

[01:00:09] For Ashton Jenty, four rushes, 10 yards.

[01:00:13] You know, but, uh.

[01:00:14] He'll break one for 70 here.

[01:00:16] Oh, yeah, he will.

[01:00:16] But LSU, A&M.

[01:00:18] What you got?

[01:00:19] LSU, A&M.

[01:00:22] Uh, at Texas A&M?

[01:00:24] Yep.

[01:00:26] LSU on the road.

[01:00:29] I'll take Texas A&M.

[01:00:31] I'll go out on a limb.

[01:00:33] Okay.

[01:00:34] I'm going to.

[01:00:34] Let's get some more chaos in SEC.

[01:00:37] I'm going to take LSU.

[01:00:38] Um, I just trust their quarterback, you know, just a tad bit more.

[01:00:42] LSU has not won in College Station since 2016.

[01:00:46] You know, the home team has won seven straight in this series.

[01:00:49] You know, um, the problem that LSU is going to have in this game is that

[01:00:54] they're 96 against the run.

[01:00:57] You know, so A&M should have some success.

[01:00:59] You know, Brian Kelly, one in six against ranked teams.

[01:01:03] Away.

[01:01:04] Away.

[01:01:05] From LSU.

[01:01:06] So who's going to make the explosive plays?

[01:01:08] That's what this game is going to come down to.

[01:01:10] LSU somehow.

[01:01:13] Got better.

[01:01:14] On defense with their best defensive player out for the season.

[01:01:18] You know, so they're going to bring some noise to A&M.

[01:01:21] As well.

[01:01:22] Um, it's going to be a close game.

[01:01:24] It's going to come down.

[01:01:27] It's going to, it's going to come down to the wire.

[01:01:29] You know, this game is going to be low scoring.

[01:01:31] I believe so I could see something along the lines of 23 to 20 LSU.

[01:01:37] You know, um, Mizzou and Bama.

[01:01:40] I felt a lot better about this game until I saw the injury report.

[01:01:44] You know, Brady, Brady Cook quarterback for Mizzou is doubtful.

[01:01:49] You know, Missouri leading rusher.

[01:01:52] Doubtful.

[01:01:54] You know, going to Tuscaloosa game started.

[01:01:57] The spread was 13 and a half.

[01:01:59] I woke up this morning.

[01:02:00] It was 16 and a half.

[01:02:03] You know, so I'm around with Vegas.

[01:02:05] Give Bama the victory there.

[01:02:07] So, so this is, so this is one of those things that pisses me off.

[01:02:10] We always talk about how these teams are in the same conference, but they rarely play each other.

[01:02:15] So, you know, Missouri joined the SEC back when Texas A&M did back in 2012.

[01:02:20] And this is their fifth time play in Bama.

[01:02:23] You know, one of those was the SEC championship game.

[01:02:25] In those games, Bama has beat them by average score of 40 to 13.

[01:02:32] You know, so.

[01:02:33] They go get Drew Luck.

[01:02:34] So, this is the week to get right.

[01:02:37] This is the week to get right.

[01:02:38] Even though, you know, they're going to be starting, Missouri's going to be starting Drew Pine, who people might remember from Notre Dame, Arizona State, Wisconsin.

[01:02:50] I think I got them all.

[01:02:52] You know, so he's been around the block a few times.

[01:02:54] You know, so they are getting a veteran quarterback.

[01:02:57] And Bama has that leaky secondary, but I'm going to go ahead and take Bama as well.

[01:03:01] So, then out in Camp Randall, you know, the Penn State Nittany Lions, State Penn going out.

[01:03:08] And this is what I want to keep my eye on, Mr. Lodge.

[01:03:11] All right.

[01:03:11] Let's check it out.

[01:03:12] I think Penn State's going to win.

[01:03:14] I'm going to take Wisconsin to cover.

[01:03:16] But I want to see how Penn State starts.

[01:03:20] I want to see the first two or three possessions because if you didn't know, they got the Buckeyes coming in next week.

[01:03:29] So, this might.

[01:03:30] You think they're looking ahead?

[01:03:31] They could.

[01:03:32] They very well could.

[01:03:34] You know, it's at Wisconsin, so no whiteout.

[01:03:37] But, you know, so I think that Wisconsin has found a groove.

[01:03:42] The bad news is these grooves were against the worst teams in the Big Ten.

[01:03:47] So, we'll see.

[01:03:49] Penn State could blow this open, but I'm going to trust Wisconsin at home to put up a fight.

[01:03:54] To keep it close?

[01:03:55] Yeah, keep it close.

[01:03:57] You know, Drew Allard, you know, like I said, like, cover your ears.

[01:04:00] You know, he could play himself into the Heisman conversation.

[01:04:03] You know, especially next week, you know, if they get that win over Ohio State.

[01:04:08] So, you know.

[01:04:09] How?

[01:04:11] How?

[01:04:11] How?

[01:04:12] Because all it takes is to win.

[01:04:13] How you play.

[01:04:14] Yeah.

[01:04:15] Because all it takes is to win.

[01:04:16] All it takes is to win.

[01:04:17] It's like week four, though.

[01:04:19] You got to be on somebody's radar to play your way in.

[01:04:23] Like, it's not like a hurricane.

[01:04:25] It just pops up.

[01:04:27] Like, you got to be on some kind of watch.

[01:04:30] We got to be looking for this tropical storm, and then it just grows and grows and grows.

[01:04:34] There's no buzz for Drew Allard for Heisman.

[01:04:37] No.

[01:04:38] But he plays on the number three team in the country that's going to play a top five or six team next week.

[01:04:44] He performs well in that game.

[01:04:46] You know, they got the 14-point comeback at USC a couple of weeks ago.

[01:04:50] You know what I mean?

[01:04:52] Yes.

[01:04:53] He'll get more conversation about being a high draft.

[01:04:56] And people love Drew Allard.

[01:04:58] People love – scouts love Drew Allard.

[01:05:01] He's like 6'4", 6'5", 22, 25.

[01:05:04] Like, he's – yeah.

[01:05:05] He's – like, if I'm a GM, I'm looking like – I could work with that.

[01:05:10] A little athleticism, a little size.

[01:05:12] I don't need you to be Josh Allen with your athleticism.

[01:05:15] You know, but having some size, yeah, I could work with that.

[01:05:18] I think he's more likely to play himself into the – like, who kind of, like, played themselves into the first round?

[01:05:26] Like, Bo Nix.

[01:05:27] Like, Bo Nix wasn't the first-round quarterback all of last year.

[01:05:31] And then, as the season went on, they started playing big games.

[01:05:35] He played himself into the first round.

[01:05:39] You know what I'm saying?

[01:05:40] Hey, while you're playing, DJ, you brother looking good out at Oregon, you know, saying,

[01:05:44] and luckily he doesn't play offense.

[01:05:46] But, no, not right, you know.

[01:05:49] But, look, at the end of the day, there ain't 1,000 Heisman candidates.

[01:05:54] I said there were four.

[01:05:55] I said there were four.

[01:05:56] I'm talking about people that could enter the conversation in the next few weeks.

[01:06:01] Then you go out to Eugene, where Ohio State suffered their only loss.

[01:06:05] They got the fight in a lot coming in.

[01:06:08] 21-and-a-half point spread is the logical.

[01:06:11] That's dangerous because that, I think – that's dangerous because your players right now should be chilling.

[01:06:23] They should be, like, either at home watching some baseball, chilling, and, like, trying to get a good night's sleep so they can be prepared for the next day.

[01:06:32] But having that kind of spread, like, man, we're going to beat the brakes off these dudes.

[01:06:36] Let's go play some pool.

[01:06:38] Let's go here.

[01:06:39] Let's go do that.

[01:06:39] And, like, too many guys go out varsity blue style when they all was in the strip club after the – before the game.

[01:06:46] Yeah.

[01:06:47] I think – because that's the only way that games like that happen, when you have a spread this big.

[01:06:52] It's like somebody wasn't focused because – oh, you missed it.

[01:06:57] Because that's – because that's how it happens.

[01:07:00] If you have a 21-point spread, that means your talent level is a three-touchdown possessions gap.

[01:07:07] In order for that to not happen, the favorite team has to just be completely unfocused.

[01:07:15] Well, Illinois is a tough team.

[01:07:17] You know, their only loss on the season came in Happy Valley.

[01:07:19] They lost that game 21-7.

[01:07:21] You know, they were able to play some defense, keep Penn State at bay.

[01:07:26] Last week against Michigan, low-scoring game, you know, but they pulled that out.

[01:07:30] I think they can cover, you know.

[01:07:32] I think that Oregon's going to win.

[01:07:34] I don't think they're going to be in any danger, you know.

[01:07:37] But I think that it might be one of those games where the score makes you think Oregon had trouble.

[01:07:43] So it might be something like 34-23, 37-23.

[01:07:47] And people are like, oh, did Oregon blow that out late?

[01:07:49] And it was like, no, Oregon was never in danger of losing.

[01:07:52] Yeah, they'll be up like 47-14 and they'll get like a late touchdown.

[01:07:57] Could be.

[01:07:57] Could be, you know.

[01:08:00] You know, so then, of course, out in Mr. Logical's neck of the woods.

[01:08:05] You're –

[01:08:06] You know, the fighting Irish.

[01:08:08] Give me Navy.

[01:08:10] Coming out to play the midshipmen.

[01:08:13] And I don't know how I feel about this game.

[01:08:16] I keep going back and forth, you know.

[01:08:21] Either Navy wins or Notre Dame wins by 24.

[01:08:27] All right, quick baseball update.

[01:08:29] We are going to extra innings.

[01:08:30] Tied 2-2.

[01:08:32] And then the Knights.

[01:08:34] I like –

[01:08:35] I like the service academies this year mainly because they're having success.

[01:08:42] They are.

[01:08:43] They're having success running the ball.

[01:08:45] And they're getting big plays in the passing game because any defensive coordinator,

[01:08:52] you know you can't sit back in a standard defense when they're running the ball like that.

[01:08:58] You got to make sure you got to fill all your lanes.

[01:08:59] But it's a lot of misdirection and the way that Navy runs side to side.

[01:09:09] One guy or two guys out of place.

[01:09:12] It's over.

[01:09:13] It's over.

[01:09:14] You know, like two guys out of place is probably a home run touchdown.

[01:09:19] One guy out of place, maybe it's a 15-yard run.

[01:09:22] But just the way – if they can – if they don't, like, swallow that up, pause early,

[01:09:29] then what you're going to end up is Navy's going to hit running the gaps.

[01:09:35] You're going to have to make on-the-fly adjustments as a defensive coordinator.

[01:09:39] And because they run the ball so – like their run game is so dynamic,

[01:09:45] you can adjust to one thing and they can do something completely different that you can adjust to.

[01:09:51] Like the option going to the left is going to be way different doing it to the right

[01:09:54] because the quarterback's right-handed.

[01:09:56] So that option to the left, maybe he keeps it.

[01:09:58] But then he steps back and you got Kent running up the scene wide open.

[01:10:04] And he pops two of those in the game.

[01:10:06] And he's a speecher.

[01:10:07] Like I said, he's a track guy.

[01:10:08] Like, so – and like – and on top of that, Notre Dame likes to run.

[01:10:13] We talk about Rylanders not really dynamic in a passing game.

[01:10:15] So the Navy defense, they practice against one of the high-powered running offenses in the country.

[01:10:25] So it's a matter of, like, can you get off your blocks and make the tackles on the Notre Dame running backs?

[01:10:30] I think they can.

[01:10:32] Okay.

[01:10:35] So I don't know who this game is bigger for.

[01:10:37] That's the problem, you know, because obviously Navy needs this win to keep any hope of the playoff alive.

[01:10:44] You know, Notre Dame, with the loss earlier to Northern Illinois, you know,

[01:10:49] obviously can't necessarily afford another loss to begin with.

[01:10:53] You know, last year they met in Ireland.

[01:10:56] Brian Newberry's first game as Navy's head coach, 42-3 smack down.

[01:11:02] You know, Navy's offense this year, their lowest output, 34 points.

[01:11:08] But there's something that I can't wrap my head around.

[01:11:12] You know, they gave up 274 rushing yards and 44 points to Memphis.

[01:11:20] You know, they haven't had a turnover since their first game.

[01:11:24] So, you know, they're taking care of the football.

[01:11:27] You know, the only teams that have scored more points than Navy this year are Indiana, Miami, and Boise State.

[01:11:33] So Navy's not going to beat themselves.

[01:11:37] And don't talk like that, my brother, because you might see it.

[01:11:41] You know what I'm saying?

[01:11:42] Don't talk like you might see it.

[01:11:44] You know, they brought in Drew Pratt.

[01:11:45] I'm an Air Force guy, but if I want new blood in this new college football.

[01:11:57] You know, BYU or Iowa State maybe.

[01:12:01] Give me that game.

[01:12:03] Give me BYU as a 12C versus, yeah, I don't know.

[01:12:10] Not Liberty after that loss to Kennesaw State.

[01:12:14] You know, like, I just want these smaller programs to get that opportunity.

[01:12:19] Because, like we talked about earlier with the Heisman, it's like there's only so many guys that –

[01:12:23] there's only so many teams that get to, you know, cut their teeth against teams like Ohio State and Alabama and Georgia.

[01:12:31] It's like everybody doesn't get to play those games.

[01:12:33] Hell, the best – the top eight teams play in two conferences.

[01:12:37] And they keep beating on each other.

[01:12:40] So I really want to see these opportunities.

[01:12:42] So, like, Navy, I hope they really – I hope they beat Notre Dame.

[01:12:46] Yeah.

[01:12:47] Notre Dame can't start slow.

[01:12:49] Notre Dame can't start slow because they – this season, they have been prone to fall behind.

[01:12:57] You know, there's been five first quarters where they've been behind.

[01:13:01] Navy, they get behind Navy, they're going to get a lot of running down your throat.

[01:13:05] You know, Mr. Logical will love this.

[01:13:07] You know, after that game, they decided, you know, they made, hey, we got to go get something.

[01:13:14] They went down to where?

[01:13:16] Macon, Georgia, down to Mercer.

[01:13:19] You know, they went and got Mercer's head coach, Drew Cronick,

[01:13:23] and he came back and added some wing T to that Navy thing.

[01:13:27] You know, and now you've got a great offense.

[01:13:31] But I think Notre Dame's defense is going to set the tone.

[01:13:35] So I got Notre Dame winning.

[01:13:38] I got Navy covering.

[01:13:41] And I think I might like Army against Notre Dame better.

[01:13:45] But we'll wait for that in a couple of weeks.

[01:13:48] You know, Louisiana Monroe, their 7.5-point underdog at South Alabama tomorrow.

[01:13:52] So I got my eye on the Warhawks.

[01:13:54] We'll see.

[01:13:56] You know, Chris back Dick Rodden again.

[01:13:58] You know where you at.

[01:14:00] He out here Dick Rodden again, you know, saying this man told me he was a Duke

[01:14:04] and UNC fan at the same time.

[01:14:06] Now he on here talking about the Hurricanes.

[01:14:08] But okay.

[01:14:09] That's not going on.

[01:14:11] Yeah.

[01:14:11] So, you know, I got my eye on Ohio State.

[01:14:15] You know, their left tackle is out for the season.

[01:14:18] So, you know, we'll have to see how they look.

[01:14:21] You know.

[01:14:22] They got to put in a five-star who hasn't played much.

[01:14:26] So I think they'll survive.

[01:14:28] Well, I'm interested in this Indiana game, you know,

[01:14:31] because, you know, Curtis Rook, their quarterback, is hurt with the thumb injury.

[01:14:35] It's not as bad as they thought, but he's not going to play tomorrow.

[01:14:39] They have Washington coming in.

[01:14:40] So six-and-a-half-point favorites there.

[01:14:43] You know, Washington has the defense.

[01:14:45] Denzel Boston is one of the best wide receivers in the country.

[01:14:48] Keep your eye on it.

[01:14:49] I think Indiana wins, but keep your eye on it.

[01:14:51] Jackson Arnold.

[01:14:52] You know, the guy that I've been shitting on since the Alamo Bowl last year.

[01:14:56] Got a starting job back at Oklahoma.

[01:14:59] Find themselves 20-and-a-half-point underdogs to Ole Miss down in Oxford.

[01:15:05] He looks small.

[01:15:07] He does.

[01:15:08] He looks like a high school guy.

[01:15:12] Like, I don't know, just something about, like, his – it doesn't seem like if I'm a defense,

[01:15:17] I'm lying up across from him thinking, like, okay, this guy's going to beat me.

[01:15:21] That's probably why he lost his job.

[01:15:23] Jackson Darkness has to play better.

[01:15:24] I mean, like, you – he's one of those guys, like, that can play himself into potentially getting drafted as well.

[01:15:31] Because I think he looks the part, probably, like, 6'1", 6'2", out of Utah.

[01:15:36] I don't know how Utah let him get out of state.

[01:15:38] I think about this every time.

[01:15:39] Like, how do you let these top quarterbacks leave the state and go to school?

[01:15:42] But neither here nor there.

[01:15:44] Right.

[01:15:44] Let the 26-year-old dude hang out like Adam Sandler and Billy Madison.

[01:15:52] But, yeah, I like Lane Kiffin.

[01:15:55] I like his ego.

[01:15:56] I like his swagger.

[01:15:57] It just – he's going to – it's – I don't know if he's ever going to be able to get over the hump in the SEC.

[01:16:10] Right.

[01:16:10] So if another – and right now with all this conference realignment, he's better off just staying where you are.

[01:16:17] But it's tough for him because, like I said, I like him.

[01:16:19] I mean, just – he always has – his team always has that game they lose every year that they shouldn't lose.

[01:16:25] And now they're behind the eight ball for the rest of the season.

[01:16:28] Then eventually the team you should lose a game to, you lose.

[01:16:33] So it's like, you know, you can't win for losing.

[01:16:36] Right.

[01:16:37] Yeah, so, you know, that's going to be an interesting game.

[01:16:40] You know, I think OU – I think OU can cover that, you know.

[01:16:43] So we'll just have to see.

[01:16:45] But there's a lot of great college football action going on tomorrow.

[01:16:48] You know, I guess stay sharp.

[01:16:51] That's what you got to do because we're getting late into the season.

[01:16:54] We hit November next week.

[01:16:56] And before you know it, it's going to be time for some conference championship games.

[01:17:00] Yeah, and those big games, these pseudo-rivalry games, end-of-the-season games where you're 9-0,

[01:17:07] you think you're looking good for the playoffs, and then you slip up.

[01:17:11] And Tulane's not a bad team, but you lose a game like that.

[01:17:14] Nope.

[01:17:15] You'll lose a game.

[01:17:16] You'll lose a game that just snuck in on you, and it's like everybody else is sending –

[01:17:21] because we used to talk about that with Alabama because they will lose a game.

[01:17:24] Like when they lost to like – it was like Texas Tech a few years back.

[01:17:28] It was like real late in the year.

[01:17:31] Well, you know, we got UNLV driving here, you know.

[01:17:38] It actually looks like Boise just got the ball back.

[01:17:41] You know, USC's up 7-0 on Rutgers.

[01:17:47] What?

[01:17:54] Residente wilding in the comments.

[01:17:57] You know what I mean?

[01:17:58] But, yeah, it's going to be a lot of great action.

[01:18:01] You know, the NBA is back.

[01:18:03] The Yankees up 3-2, top of the 10, two outs.

[01:18:06] Oh, don't make me sick now.

[01:18:07] I'm having a good time.

[01:18:08] Don't make me sick.

[01:18:09] You know, Florida State, 21-and-a-half point underdogs at the Canes.

[01:18:16] And they just watched the double play opportunity as well.

[01:18:19] Ah, great.

[01:18:22] Yeah, that's not – yeah, so you got the ground ball.

[01:18:25] Shortstop bobbled it.

[01:18:27] The guy's safe at first.

[01:18:29] The run counts 3-2, top of the 10th.

[01:18:32] Okay.

[01:18:33] It would have been an inning-inning double play.

[01:18:35] I think the run – I don't know if the run would have counted, though.

[01:18:39] I think the runner has to get to first in that situation.

[01:18:43] Right.

[01:18:44] But, yeah.

[01:18:45] You know what I'm saying?

[01:18:46] For sure.

[01:18:47] But, hey, we will be back on Monday, you know, with some MVP talk.

[01:18:51] You know, we're going to be talking about the reaction to – or Tuesday, I'm sorry,

[01:18:55] reaction to the games.

[01:18:56] We're going to have a little NBA for you, some first impressions,

[01:19:00] what we've seen so far this season.

[01:19:02] You know, Kate Cunningham.

[01:19:03] Is it really not going to play back-to-backs?

[01:19:05] Yeah, that's the plan.

[01:19:07] Like, that's the full – that's the whole plan.

[01:19:09] That's the whole plan.

[01:19:10] What's the plan?

[01:19:11] Didn't he sign a three-year, $193 million extension?

[01:19:14] He did.

[01:19:15] You going to give him half of that back?

[01:19:17] No.

[01:19:19] Okay, just checking.

[01:19:21] But he is the even-kill Mr. Logical.

[01:19:25] Most of the time.

[01:19:26] And, you know, it's that even though he got some – he got unkilled tonight.

[01:19:31] Hey, listen, sometimes when I'm speaking logically, I need you to hear me out.

[01:19:35] But don't bring feelings to a fact fight.

[01:19:39] Exactly.

[01:19:40] You know what I'm saying?

[01:19:40] We'll be back.

[01:19:41] We love you.

[01:19:42] Like, review, subscribe, share.

[01:19:45] Do all the good things.

[01:19:47] Do all the free things.

[01:19:50] And we love you.

[01:19:54] Peace.

[01:19:55] Go Yankees.

[01:19:56] Go Yankees.
