[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, they got rid of the one and only, Julius Randall. So you already know Minnesota lost the trade for the fact that they're bringing in Julius Randall.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_03]: We don't even got to get into all that. Minnesota, you lost the trade.

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_03]: So it means the logical. What was your first thought when you heard about this tree?

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_01]: My first thought was like, I don't understand it. I don't understand it because if you think about tips, his bigs aren't the primary scores. They're hustle guys.

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_01]: He keeps small guys that run the floor and do all the scoring. Wink the fenders. My big men are rebounders, and they just run to the rim.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got that Anthony Davis and him where we see all the talent. But can't you be the man and not even the man because you can score points, but can you be the leader.

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Jalen Brunton is obviously the leader in the engine of this team. So call that to the towns is going to more or less take that number two role.

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And on some nights maybe the number three role, because I don't know, be you know, they had the 30 25 record doing the regular season when they picked him up. So we'll see how that works out also, you know, you had to get rid of Julia's random.

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, like, like remember like Julia's random is like the basketball version of like two pot being like remember when I used to let you sleep on a couch and beg a bitch to let you sleep in the house.

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, because now he wants to get paid he hasn't got paid yet, but he's trying to get paid. So teams are a little hesitant so you know, I thought Minnesota would potentially keep cat.

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Do the whole let's see how the first half of the season goes because they have no green waiting in the wings to kind of fill in that spot. The problem is obviously he's not as tall and you know, like he's not as I don't know what the word is I guess why body is cat.

[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_03]: So so like he does a lot of things that cat does but can he do it consistently enough to justify getting rid of cat, but you also won't find that out as long as cat is there.

[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_01]: So so from that I guess I could see this standpoint I just the thing that kind of surprised me is how quickly the deal just kind of like there was no one actually came out and it just popped up I had like I said I never heard any like rumblings well actually when I was in two players two for one you see like a

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_03]: a smooth transaction at least. Well what I went back and started reading articles you know about it and everything a lot of commonality that I was finding was the next have been trying to get cat at various points throughout the last three or four years.

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_03]: You know it just never worked out you know obviously that wasn't very public because usually we hear the rumors but you know, but apparently he's been on their radar for quite some time because remember like I know you brought up tips when when when go on go there got there was like okay you don't need both big men right and people in a move because that's when they gave.

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Go there 200 million. Okay, then I got to keep two seven footers for over 200 million each right you can buy think you can be you know you could kind of pick at that carcass that is a Minnesota Timberl but then they got good.

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_01]: He is dynamic he shoots well he like I say he's a mismatch it's only so much you can get out of players it's like everybody's not going to give you 30 and 12 and five assists it's just not like a thing that happens in the least especially when all I have.

[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_01]: He's not going to get you a lot of dribble drive easily because a lot of the guys that are getting you 28 plus are guys that are dribble driving getting to the rim and getting eight to ten.

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_01]: So I think he's giving you back to the basket they don't call a lot of those post plays and these giving you three point shots so 23 points from what those kind of options that he gets offensively.

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's that's that's right basically it.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Ant man is controllable he's put you pull up the trees he's dribble driving he's being switched on pick and rose like all this action has happened around him when he has the ball because the way he plays.

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_01]: He's another guy just don't make he doesn't have his opportunity so long as he gets you.

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_03]: You're boy Julia's Randall you know but you know but like my other concern is out of his nine seasons.

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_03]: You know he's missed that 65 game threshold four times and not just missed it but we're talking 29 35 54.

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_03]: You know the last two years he's missed substantial time so so you know is he starting to get to that point of his career where as a bigger you know person.

[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Is it gonna be a big end?

[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_03]: You know or likely it's not gonna go it's not gonna he's not gonna send but I also think that they now have the same problems that I think that Philadelphia has.

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And then in beat is gonna probably get you 30 and Max is gonna get you 22 to 24 or 25 if everybody's good with those numbers.

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah they still can't be Boston in my eyes like they still can be Indiana because it has any problem they were well they were her daily series yeah they were heard but when it came to just scoring.

[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_01]: There wasn't another guy that Jaylon Brunson give the ball to on the floor and get you any kind of bucket.

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I think Indiana just in order to control the pace of that series and well the pace because one guy had the ball I don't have anything to finish with this one guy has literally no one else to give if he got trapped and gave it a Josh Hart and Josh Hart had nine seconds on the shot club could he slowly set his guy up and get a good 15 17 football up.

[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_01]: All right, most of those guys are just getting open looks off of his passes well now a cat maybe he gets maybe the two of them guaranteeing 50 points and everybody else can scrap together 60 to 65 points with the other seven or eight guys.

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I think they'll be good to go but if you're going to have him try to get you 20 plus points what's his defensive role.

[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Well as far as Minnesota goes you know I brought up the apron you know and how that may have played a factor into why they made this move well what that does now it gives them a little flexibility if you will.

[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Because you know hypothetically play it out you know all star break you know you played what like 50 games before all star breaks so that's it.

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Hypothetically say they're sitting around 29 and 21 and they're just feeling like something's missing XYZ you probably could trade really is Randall you know you can bring in someone.

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_03]: You have to wait until the 15 you have to wait till December 15 because I think it's like 60 days after the season.

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I think you can just trade them in because remember like the Andre eight and that was his thing when he re signed in Phoenix like they couldn't trade them until after January.

[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_01]: And added a veteran role player like a Mike Conley type or even like a van fleet but out that money but like a kind of stature where he can come in and definitely be the the mentor to the young guys.

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_01]: With the old hard knows coach I think that would work but they put they put so many genres together and trying to make a concert is like.

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_01]: You got too many the same thing with your young players and you have older players that can't match up so yeah he's just going to be one of the situations usually might be a team you could put the guy put the town to guide because they have too many.

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_01]: That too many of those guys so I think yeah Minnesota might be able to make that move but I think the move is premature.

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Right and that's what I'm saying so when you look at the west you know to me and like I said unless you're just scared.
