[00:00:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Happy Monday, it's the beginning of a new week. Sports Reports As Ordered is here.

[00:00:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Tonight we got a whole lot of playoff prediction time.

[00:00:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you are now listening to the sound of Sports Reports As Ordered.

[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And those sounds are coming from the even kill.

[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Born in Texas, raised in VA, representing new jerus but not the Giants.

[00:00:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Do not bring feelings to a fact fight.

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_01]: He is Mr. Lottie.

[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And I am your unorthodox statistician coming to you from the Alamo by way of Baltimore.

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not a rave.

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_01]: To five.

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_01]: So do me a favor out there America.

[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, review, subscribe, share, rate.

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Do all the free things, do all the good things.

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And just in case you was wondering, I know y'all got friends and family out there.

[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_01]: We are wherever you get your podcasts.

[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, let's go.

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_01]: We gonna start this off right with Get It Off My Chest.

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Lottie.

[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's hear it.

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes, yes.

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Wonderful introduction as always.

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, pardon me.

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: This Get Off My Chest is gonna be a little bit more somber.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And then also very, very angry.

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_00]: This weekend started a lot of high school football around the country.

[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_00]: We were in a sports group.

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to the Hot Box.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_00]: And Mr. Lewis, South Carolina's own, decided to go to a football game Thursday.

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Big time game.

[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_00]: South Carolina starting the season off.

[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, we talk about the SEC and must say love football.

[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_00]: It starts in high school.

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Youth football, they love their football out there.

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, and he sent the message in the group saying they had to stop the game because of a shootout.

[00:02:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's children at these games.

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_00]: It's families there.

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_00]: People are here to watch a football game.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_00]: And they can't finish because your desire to be violent in an area where there's children trying to enjoy themselves.

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_00]: The lack of respect you have for human life is appalling.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: So even in that conversation, it happened so often, it felt like we talked about it for a second in the group.

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_00]: We went on and it's just like, what the hell?

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_00]: How the hell are we going? You can't enjoy yourself on a Thursday night.

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_00]: So then I was talking to my son's mother.

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_00]: She has a really good friend lives out in Utah.

[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's been through it in his life as well.

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_00]: And his 15 year old son was breaking up a fight because this friend was getting jumped at a football game in an affluent part of Utah.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_00]: He was going to get stabbed and get stabbed to death.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Had to call his mother and said, Mom, I'm on my way to the hospital.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I got stabbed and he died on the like he was she was listening to her 15 year old son pass away from a stab wound because people don't respect life.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And this is not a red state, blue state.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_00]: This is not any of that nonsense.

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's literally young people going to high school sporting events, not coming home alive.

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Life on the line to go to a high school football game.

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And everybody is you know, we're going to post all of our political alliances.

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to share the videos of Kamala said this, JD Vance said that, or Trump did this, or Biden did that back in the day and Obama never did this.

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't give a damn about none of that.

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_00]: If we can't get this violence in our country under control, what the fuck are we here for?

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_00]: This man lost his 15 year old son.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_00]: My youngest son just turned 15 a few months back going to a sophomore year.

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_00]: He goes to the sporting events with his friends all the time.

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_00]: When they go to their games, they go to other basketball games, they go to house parties with other athletes.

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Fights break out.

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_00]: If he gets in a fight, you get him to fight testosterone, testosterone.

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_00]: But I don't want to have a phone call saying that my 15 year old son is headed to the hospital over something as petty as a fight.

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_00]: It couldn't have been anything that important.

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what's going on in your life at 15, but ain't none of that shit worth stabbing somebody to death over.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we pick up and we keep going day by day.

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_00]: But this violence where children are, you're letting off bullets.

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you know how many feet per second bullets travel?

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you know they can ricochet off of something?

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you know what's behind your target?

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you know even how to handle the damn gun?

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you not know how to fight?

[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you know how to regulate your emotions?

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you not understand what you are doing to people's families?

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_00]: What are you doing to your friends?

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Because now let's keep like I'm getting my criminal justice hat.

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody involved in that fight that's friends with the individual that stabbed this young man to death.

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_00]: All of you are liable for felony murder charges.

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_00]: It may be second degree murder, but they can bring all you in.

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_00]: You can say I'm not snitching on that.

[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Cool. You could do 35 a life with him.

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Because when you're committing a crime and a felony happens, you get part of that.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_00]: So if you're in a car and your friend goes in there and they robbed the store and they stabbed somebody, you get part of that.

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_00]: And not like a middle part.

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_00]: You get an equal part of that.

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_00]: So all y'all equally getting sent up.

[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_00]: So think about that when you pick your friends.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Think about that when you pick these cards you get in.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Parents, think about that when you send your kids out.

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Does your kid need help?

[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Does your kid handle his emotions well?

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Her emotions well.

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_00]: You see it at the crib.

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_00]: We had a shooting in Michigan a few years ago that took the lives of a young football player at school shooting.

[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_00]: That young man and his parents got locked up because they knew he should not have had access to a gun and they bought him a gun.

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_00]: They knew he was taking it places.

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_00]: He took it to school and used it.

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_00]: So they got manslaughter charges along with his murder charges.

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_00]: So if you can't get your kids under control and if you need something to get that's when you scream for your politicians.

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_00]: They say hey we need better medical care in our communities.

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_00]: We need better therapy in our communities.

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_00]: We need better security in our community.

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_00]: We need better everything in our community.

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_00]: So my son who needs help, my daughter who needs help doesn't go out here and commit one of these crimes.

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And that way someone else doesn't have to get a phone call from their child dying in an ambulance.

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_00]: We got to do better.

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Fuck all this voting shit.

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Get on your fucking game.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Take care of your family.

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Look at the eyes of the people who live in your house and make sure they're squared away.

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Stop posting this shit about people who don't give a damn about you.

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Kamala Harris does not care about you individually.

[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_00]: My son, my oldest son's last name is Harris.

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_00]: That's the Harris I care about.

[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I want to know what's going on with him.

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_00]: How is he managing his day?

[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_00]: That's who should matter.

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Not all this arbitrary stuff on the outside because if you don't take care of them, they're going to go out and that energy is going somewhere.

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Good, bad or indifferent.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm pretty sure you don't want to be the parent answering the phone saying mom I'm locked up.

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I stabbed this kid in the fight.

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Dad I'm locked up. I got in a shootout at a football game.

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Get it together people.

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Get it together.

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_00]: That's all.

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Huh.

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know what to say after that but it's a shame.

[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I know it's cliche everybody says it but you know parents ain't supposed to bury the kids.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean? And a lot of this stuff is just stupid like I even see some of these like rappers out here they be digging up graves.

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_01]: You know and all this kind of stuff like that and then they get got.

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's like violence begets violence.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_01]: You know but.

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_01]: So I'll try to move on.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_01]: So this weekend there was a report that came out.

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_01]: The one and only Coach Prime as only Coach Prime can.

[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Had decided that he's not going to answer questions from Sean Killer of the Denver Post.

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Now everybody that watches Sports Reports is ordered I know your thoughts are how's 2 5 gonna shit on Dion this time.

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_01]: That's not what I'm here for.

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's one thing to criticize somebody.

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_01]: You know like I criticize people all the time you know like hey this show wasn't good or hey what is he talking about.

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_01]: People might criticize us.

[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_01]: You know was the difference is it's not supposed to be personal.

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You know like if you say hey Coach Prime started 3 and 0 last year they finished 1 and 8.

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not personal that's a fact.

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_01]: You know hey Colorado went out last year and got fifth and sixth stringers from the transfer portal and everybody thought that they were going to be a great team.

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_01]: That's a fact.

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_01]: But when you're coming up here talking about let me say I got this written down here.

[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Planet Prime.

[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Disposition or deposition Dion.

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_01]: The Bruce Lee of BS even though I do think that's hilarious.

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_01]: The false prophet.

[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_01]: You can't get any more personal than that.

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_01]: You know and the problem is.

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_01]: You weren't ready for this part.

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_01]: The problem is.

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Is that people like Skip Bayless have come along.

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know come up with all these nicknames come up with all these words because they're behind a camera and don't have to deal with the individual that they're addressing.

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You know where Sean killer does get to be in the same room as Dion Dion can address him if necessary.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_01]: But the problem is is that you put Dion in a position which I know wasn't your intention.

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_01]: You put Dion in a position to be the one getting the sympathy because you thought you were criticizing him and everybody was just going to jump on board with you.

[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_01]: You just took it too far for no reason at all.

[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_01]: If it were me I would have loved for Dion to have his Mike Gundy.

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm a man. I'm 57.

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Have that moment.

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And I've seen people out here calling prom week soft.

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Dion Sanders might be a lot of things but not those two words.

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_01]: So at the end of the day and even for us sitting here behind a microphone.

[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_01]: You know sometimes you've got to be more mindful of your words.

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_01]: You know words have repercussions.

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's logical just got done talking about violence.

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Some of those repercussions are violent.

[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_01]: So for all of you out there that are calling Dion softer week you let me know when it has been tolerable to accept disrespect.

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_00]: You should do it because you're famous you make a lot of money.

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Or this is that that's that man's right to free speech.

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_01]: And it is but Dion got a right to his reaction to.

[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah I think and and over the last few years like I say we've been like political charges of nation talking about the government.

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think people understand free speech is your right to say whatever you desire.

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_00]: But even with that there is a limit.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_00]: You can't scream bomb in an airport.

[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_00]: You can't scream fire in a movie theater.

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Like there's things on the phone when you're talking about the president.

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_00]: You can't say certain things when you're being watched you.

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_00]: You can't you can't communicate threats you can say like we understand freedom of the press is for you to be able to say what you want.

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_00]: But it has limitations and also has basic consequences.

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_00]: If you work for a newspaper and you're trying to write a story on me and I don't like how you disrespect me.

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Then I'm not obligated to speak to you.

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I will like you're allowed in the room because you're press you have credentials.

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_00]: You can stay in there with everybody else.

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_00]: But if there's 20 people in there and my rule is like I'm only taking questions from three people.

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_00]: The other 17 people can say you're infringing on my right to be oppressed.

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Like you're allowed to be in here.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm allowed to take as many questions as I so desire.

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_00]: My so desire is three from three people.

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_00]: If I don't call you I don't call you.

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah that's real.

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_00]: That's what it is.

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_00]: You know and I think people kind of forget that part is like there's repercussions to that.

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Right. And to your point when you're talking about he thought he was going to be able to pile on Dion and now Dion's getting sympathy.

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_00]: It reminds me of this movie The Trial of Chicago 7 and based on a loosely based on true story and some things were bellish and things like that.

[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_00]: But it's based on the true story and in the court Bobby Seale was the Black Panther leader in Chicago connected his other political activists.

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_00]: And the one scene the judge had him like bound like gagged and like duct tape around it.

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_00]: And then the prosecutor was like watching the judge do this he was like what the hell is going on.

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And then they went up and they adjourn and they dropped the charges against them.

[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_00]: And one of the lines were you did that because now you've given up your your leverage because everyone else watching the trial will look at him as the enemy.

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_00]: But now that you've gagged them and duct taped them and handcuffed them to a chair in a courtroom now he's getting sympathy so now you can't use the same animosity to try to fuel people.

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's like sometimes you just got to understand like listen it's not all about how you feel in the moment.

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Get a one on one interview or write your authentic article but if you write something and somebody I want to talk to you after that then you got to live with that.

[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Colorado State.

[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Cover the Denver Nuggets.

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Cover Air Force.

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean you got plenty of options.

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_00]: It just the Buffalo's the most popular draw in your state for college football or probably they're probably more popular of a draw.

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Go out here and cover right now.

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Go out here and cover the troops support.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Go out there and write Zach Wilson stories.

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Just write up the block.

[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Just head down I-25 you'll get there.

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah so I mean it is what it is people call it the young soft like you want but you're not going to sit there and let somebody imagine you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're

[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_00]: you're your manager writing a critique about you and you're reading it out loud in the office.

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_00]: You're just going to sit there and take it because that's their job to write a critique and read it out loud.

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_00]: No you're not going to sit there and take it now.

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_00]: So Deon ain't got to take it.

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_01]: So you know so since we're on the topic of college football.

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_00]: You're.

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Let me tell you my Seminoles went to Ireland.

[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Showed their ass.

[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_01]: And their asses got smacked.

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Georgia Tech it was a three point game when you look at the scoreboard.

[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Realistically Florida State lost that game by at least 17.

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Now this was one of those games right where you got the underdog.

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Now granted they were like an 11 point underdog.

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_01]: They weren't like a 20 point on the dog but regardless that's substantial.

[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah yeah yeah regardless.

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_01]: You know you you sit there you watch teams all the time play the better team tough play them tough and then they throw a timely interception.

[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a weird fumble that happens.

[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_01]: So in the third quarter Georgia Tech missed the field goal in a 14 14 game.

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_01]: And I said there it is.

[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_01]: That's the moment.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_01]: That's the underdog's mistake.

[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_01]: He's control.

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_00]: When this game 28 14.

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_01]: It didn't happen.

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_01]: It didn't happen.

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_01]: So when I did my preview I told people hey Georgia Tech in Florida State nine out of 10 always goes down to the wire.

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_01]: So I picked the Florida State 27 to 24.

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I thought that it was going to be a close game throughout Florida State would just hold the ball a little longer and lean on Georgia Tech defensive line.

[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_01]: But here's a stat for you Mr. logical.

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's hear it.

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_01]: When Georgia Tech ran the football not only did they outgained Florida State 193 to 98 but they had three point three yards before contact.

[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Florida State had a half yard before contact.

[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_01]: And offensive line was supposed to be Florida State strength it was supposed to be one of the best in the country if not at least the best in the ACC.

[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Florida State's defensive line was supposed to be one of the best in the ACC if not in the country.

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_01]: So now we sit here as we get into our playoff preview here.

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Florida State comes back next Monday night on Labor Day at home against Bill O'Brien and the crew coming in from Chestnut Hill Massachusetts.

[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_01]: They can't lose that game because that gives them two conference losses even if they went out.

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_01]: After that you're in trouble.

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_01]: So Florida State could probably get away with a loss to Notre Dame since it's not another ACC team if they went out become ACC champion and get an automatic slot.

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_01]: You know so DJ Uyangale is going to get a lot of the blame for what happened the other day.

[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_01]: It was obvious that Mike Norvell didn't trust him.

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't trust him. He completed 57 percent of his passes at Oregon State last year.

[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Sounding real Anthony Richardson like.

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_00]: When he about 57 percent on this game.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_01]: No he was actually pretty damn accurate this game and actually it's just everything was behind the line of scrimmage like right.

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Desmond Ritter on us 12 for 14 for 96 yards sounds great but his air yards per pass was negative point one.

[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean. That's why you lost the game.

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_01]: You didn't take chances you didn't take shots.

[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_01]: You thought that you could just out talent Georgia Tech and Haynes King said no.

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And then I.

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Another thing that I brought up in my preview Georgia Tech brought in Tyler.

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I can never say his name Santoshi.

[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_01]: You know who was the defensive coordinator last year for Duke when they smacked Clemson in the first game of the season.

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_01]: So even though Georgia Tech had one of the worst defenses in the country they rectified that.

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to be honest I had Florida State in my playoff.

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_01]: So for the purposes of authenticity I'm a leave Florida State in my playoff when we do this I'm not going to use that result to try to get them all again.

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_01]: And say oh I never had Florida State.

[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_01]: You know saying so Mr. Lodge.

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Here.

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's get to it.

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_01]: It's prediction time playoff time.

[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_01]: So.

[00:21:18] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm predicting Florida State is going to play a nice little easy cupcake game.

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_01]: So here's the first question.

[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Who do you have as your G5 representative.

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Take Boise State.

[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I just like the winning coach they've always had there.

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of people are going to pick another team that's closer to where I currently live.

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_00]: But I like Boise State.

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I like the talent they get in.

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Like the fact they are you know just one of those talented team that just always seems to retool get better.

[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_00]: They don't have to win out.

[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean they're probably going to win out but I like Boise State as my.

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_00]: My G5 team.

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_01]: OK.

[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_01]: So of course Boise State you know when you look at Boise State there a lot of people believe that the Mountain West is the best G5 conference.

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not one of them but it's still a good conference.

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_01]: You know but they do go to Austin on September 7th to play the Ducks.

[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_01]: They get Washington State.

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_01]: You know they go to UNLV which is going to be a tough game and they go to Wyoming which will be a tough game.

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_01]: But I don't see that a game that Boise should be afraid of you know outside of the Oregon game.

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_01]: You know so I mean that makes sense.

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_01]: But for me I know they hired a new coach last year.

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_01]: They won the Mountain West even though they fired their offensive coordinator in the middle of the season.

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. So you know that just goes to say for me to say Boise is not without flaws.

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_01]: So I picked Memphis.

[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Now when I look at Memphis though.

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_01]: They got some problems.

[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You know so they go to Florida State.

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_01]: They go to Tulane.

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_01]: They come down here to play UTSA.

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_01]: So you know when you look at it that way it's a little tougher than it seems.

[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_01]: In the smart money if I was a betting man for real I would probably say that Liberty would be the G5 representative because for the second year in a row they don't play a power team.

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_01]: You know but the problem for Liberty is margins of error.

[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Very slim.

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_01]: They lose one game.

[00:23:46] [SPEAKER_01]: They out of here and even if they go undefeated but then I look at say Memphis and they got through with only a loss to Florida State Boise with only a loss to Oregon.

[00:23:58] [SPEAKER_01]: That zero shouldn't protect them.

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_01]: So I would still want to put one of those teams in over Liberty right.

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_01]: The whole talk about this whole playoff the whole time right.

[00:24:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Most deserving or best team.

[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You know I can't call you the best because you didn't even play the best.

[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah but that most deserving best team is only applied when they're trying to rationalize someone getting in that shouldn't be in.

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And it depends on how they use it so they'll like I remember when Kirby Smart and Georgia got their second loss and they lost like two times Alabama.

[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And they were and he was kind of clamoring to get into the playoffs.

[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_00]: He said I bet you that team over there doesn't want to see us again.

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like wait they saw you twice.

[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Well remember Nick Saban right.

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_01]: You know like yo we lost both of our games on the last play of the game against Tennessee and LSU.

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I bet you we'd be favored over all those teams.

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah you might but you lost it out of here.

[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Like we got it we got to have a lot of demarcation somewhere like it has to be a standard.

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like you can't have two losses and other teams have zero.

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like that big pun moment right.

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Not you again.

[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Go that way.

[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You know and so now let me take it back now.

[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_01]: So you got Boise as your your G5 representative.

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Who is your number one seed.

[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Them dogs.

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's don't see how you beat Georgia 6 7 3 40 across the offensive line.

[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Bring it back a quarterback project to be a top pick NFL Kirby Smart.

[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean he literally just all they do is win.

[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_00]: They're just a winning organization.

[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_00]: This is like you can't you can't count them out especially now I think they are the upper crust of the SEC.

[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_00]: So and that's the best football conference as far as the top their their top tier teams across the entire nation be shrapneling their talent their wins and their victories.

[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_00]: The top tier teams from the SEC those top three four to five teams are among the best of the country any other conference.

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_00]: So they are the best of the best.

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_00]: So I got George's my number one seed.

[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Would you believe me if I told you I got George's my number one seed to now believe you because it's somebody else.

[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_01]: OK good job because I know I have Ohio State is my number one seed.

[00:26:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I have them and Georgia both losing a game.

[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I have Georgia losing at Oxford against Ole Miss.

[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I have Ohio State losing at Austin against Oregon.

[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_01]: So obviously both of them are going to win out you know after those losses.

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_01]: But George's loss had just happened later.

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Now that's up to the committee right.

[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_01]: So the committee might say you might be correct because the committee might just say I'm putting the SEC champion at number one.

[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Yep. You know what I mean.

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_00]: So OK we've seen it happen 11 times now.

[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes like there's plenty of evidence to support like how this is going to go.

[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_01]: So I got Ohio State is my one Georgia is my two.

[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you have Ohio State is your two.

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. OK OK.

[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_01]: All right. So so Mr. logical for those of you keeping count at home got George's the one seed.

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Ohio State is the two seed and I have the reverse of that.

[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_01]: All right. So who is your three seed.

[00:27:35] [SPEAKER_00]: The boys from Salt Lake City.

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Come on man.

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Listen hey everyone's like you got to be a homer.

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_00]: I think having a 25 year old quarterback.

[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I think what he has is just he just doesn't lose.

[00:27:49] [SPEAKER_00]: He just that the you get the advantage of just being the big 12 narrow physical teams.

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Utah so many Pacific Islanders physicality they recruit Texas and California well it is I think the talent match with the coaching staff and the consistency of the staff.

[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_00]: I think they I think that's your your big 12 champion.

[00:28:13] [SPEAKER_00]: They're your number three seed.

[00:28:15] [SPEAKER_01]: So originally I had Utah as my number four.

[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_01]: But then Florida State lost this weekend to keep Florida State in the playoffs so I can keep my word and be honorable.

[00:28:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I moved to Utah to number three as well.

[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I put Florida State at number four.

[00:28:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Because because the rule for this playoff is the top four conference champions the top four ranked conference champions get the buys.

[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And like I said in that scenario your G5 probably has to be undefeated you know to get that fourth spot and you have to have a conference champion that has two or three losses.

[00:28:56] [SPEAKER_00]: So like we have if we got if we have Utah or even Florida State you type that two losses your Liberty or Boise State or even Memphis still would have to be like 11 or 10.

[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_00]: They would have to be higher they would have to have to be in the top 10 when the conference championships occurred.

[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_01]: So I think the G5 is always going to be 12.

[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_01]: That's just me. I think they're just always going to get the 12 you know what I mean.

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_01]: But we'll get back to that in a little bit.

[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_01]: All right so I got Florida State is my four who's your number four.

[00:29:34] [SPEAKER_00]: For us.

[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I have to move them down to this like well we know what the new format 12 teams are to Matt.

[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_00]: I still think that I still think that they are going to.

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll be Clemson.

[00:29:50] [SPEAKER_00]: I think Clemson like I don't know if K club is the guy in Clemson so I don't know if he's going to be able to pull them out of a couple of games.

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll find out this weekend won't we.

[00:29:59] [SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm so like that's what I mean.

[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_00]: So I just seen them last year and it really felt like he was that dynamic to the point where like I said we talk about that well Sweeney not going into the transfer portal and not really you know retooling.

[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_00]: For the following years kind of doing this old school way I can see that kind of being a detriment to the team so I figured Florida State still rises and I have another ACCT me here but you know well.

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll get there we'll get there.

[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_01]: So now we're going to pause.

[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And let me run down the playoff for a quick second.

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_01]: So as mentioned the top four conference champions get a buy.

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_01]: The first round games so that's five versus 12 611-89710 are all on campus or.

[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_01]: A designated stadium chosen by that representative so, for example, you know I just made this up if Liberty were to win the conference now I don't know where Lynchburg is in the sense of Virginia but.

[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Liberty could say hey we'll play at FedEx field you know or whatever like just to have a bigger stadium bigger home field advantage whatever it might be even though they're not going to be hosting the game I'm just using that as an example now.

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_01]: The teams do not recede.

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_01]: So we know that in the NFL the one seed gets a buy.

[00:31:20] [SPEAKER_01]: You know if seven wins ones playing seven so one is going to play whoever the lowest seed is left.

[00:31:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And this here college football playoff one automatically plays the winner of the eight nine.

[00:31:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And then you delineate from there two against the 710 three against the 611 the four or 512 or whatever now the second round games are going to be at bowl sites.

[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_01]: So we got the fiesta bowl the peach bowl the Rose Bowl and the sugar bowl.

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_01]: So, problem number one that I have is that if you are the number one seed in this structure in this format. You don't even get the host a playoff game.

[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And then just for shits and giggles just for shits and giggles. Let's just say hypothetically, you got Georgia's eight seed plan against nine seed whoever Georgia wins in Ohio State's the one seed, then you got to play Georgia in the second round.

[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Whereas if you're the fifth seed. Let's say you're somebody like Notre Dame. You know if you're Notre Dame, you potentially line up against Liberty.

[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I think you play the lowest rated of the top four buys.

[00:32:38] [SPEAKER_00]: And your top four conference winners could be hypothetically a nine and three. No, not necessarily. Like yeah we'll say like a nine and three Clemson hypothetically or like a nine and three NC State not normally a powerhouse but they are the lowest ranked power like four conference champion.

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's like so at five is probably the spot to be. Yeah, five is five is the other than you just have to play that extra game because you never know you might get you might get a conference champion so you might have the regular season and you play these conference championships and then you lose the five.

[00:33:22] [SPEAKER_00]: But now you got to play another game to get before you get to that for you. So it could be attrition because like you can lose, you can shave off a game. Let's have some real fun though. Let's say your Ohio State and you're the one seed.

[00:33:37] [SPEAKER_01]: The eight nine matchup is Georgia, Michigan.

[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_01]: So you're either going to play Georgia in the second round, or you're going to play your rival that you just played a couple of weeks ago, and you're the one seed and you can't even get it at home.

[00:33:52] [SPEAKER_01]: So what are we doing here? Like I guess you know the ball game has to make money so I guess that's why they're doing this. But then your Ohio State you're going to be able to sell out half whatever stadium right right is that Pasadena the rules ball for set.

[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_01]: You said the national championship is a yeah I was getting to that. Yeah, so the semi finals are at the Orange Bowl in the Cotton Bowl.

[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And then on January 20 of the national title game is that the compressor, aka Mercedes Benz Stadium. So if you play Georgia there neutral site right

[00:34:27] [SPEAKER_01]: The greatest neutral site in sports. So, so you know, so, so that's your playoff rundown as far as the sites, the rules and the structure of it now. The good news is, you know, in 2026 well good news if my scenario played out that I brought up 2026 you go back to the table and you could change the

[00:34:55] [SPEAKER_01]: So if you're not competitive, you're out of here. So like keep your eye on 2026. So let's get back to it so Mr logical. So we went through our top four seeds. So what is your 512 matchup.

[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_00]: What is the state Oregon.

[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_01]: So rematch okay because the committee has made it known that they're not going to avoid rematches.

[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Yep.

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_00]: All right, Oregon, 611.

[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Texas, Alabama.

[00:35:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Rematch the last year. Oh yeah, because they don't play during the regular season that'd be nice but bad man getting in.

[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Old Miss NC State my 710. Okay.

[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_00]: And then Missouri Iowa. My eight nine game. Okay. All right. So what's your second round matchups.

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_00]: So I got go ahead take Oregon out of the five seed think Texas gonna be too much for Bama, obviously.

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of chalk. Take Ole Miss being NC State and then give me a take Missouri.

[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_00]: So I got one through four or five through eight. That's probably gonna be wrong but like I said this is not what we were bet on is just if you're looking at it, you know, on a Monday night in August.

[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_00]: This is what it looks like.

[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, Missouri, Georgia.

[00:36:21] [SPEAKER_00]: That SEC schools of my situation here say Ohio State Ole Miss Utah Texas Florida State Oregon.

[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'll take Oregon in that matchup.

[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna be. I'm gonna take you to over Texas. Okay. Okay. Go Utes. Ohio State over

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Ohio State over Ole Miss. And then Georgia beats their SEC comrade, Missouri.

[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, my like yeah bye bye bye bye bye semi finals be Georgia versus Oregon, Ohio State versus Utah.

[00:37:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and then I was hitting that's a championship is Georgia versus Ohio State.

[00:37:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And the winner is and can't beat them dogs huh Georgia wins.

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_00]: It can't play out this way because it's too, it's too, but it's college football, I have too many just standard names in here I mean, don't own this in there is probably new but I think they always were always on the cusp.

[00:37:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Like when that final at the end of the season I think they're like 911 and that final college football ranking.

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_00]: They just have like length, they just have a couple of lane kiffin games where they lose 45 to 42.

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_00]: You know he comes in cocky he throws out bullshit on Twitter, or he does something in the interview with Paul fine bomb and it's like, oh he put bull into board material up there.

[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_00]: But I think this year he'll be able to overcome it because you can go SEC school two losses, even if you don't complain SEC championship. I think the committee will get you in.

[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_01]: All right. Right. Well, so in my bracket.

[00:38:28] [SPEAKER_01]: My 512 is Oregon over Memphis.

[00:38:31] [SPEAKER_01]: My six see this is where it starts to get nasty y'all I'm gonna go ahead and admit we get nasty on sports reports. I'm going shop because I'm just like, I'm going to but but it's just names these names are nasty.

[00:38:44] [SPEAKER_01]: So like I said 512 is Oregon over Memphis.

[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I got succeeded Miami.

[00:38:51] [SPEAKER_01]: This is my non chalk losing to number 11 Missouri.

[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I got number seven Texas, knocking off Penn State.

[00:39:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And the nastiest of the nastiest, I changed it back again. My eight nine is Clemson over Iowa.

[00:39:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I like Iowa schedule. They're going to have the defense and you know all they got to do is be a little bit better on offense.

[00:39:18] [SPEAKER_00]: So you got three ACC schools. Yeah, that I was, I was teetering with that when we were talking move that our earlier predictions and everything else for the ACC.

[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_00]: But that was me just kind of assuming Florida State would just kind of run away with it. And then a couple of teams to sneak in but now I think it's going to be that someone's going to knock another team out right.

[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Right. So, so, so I got in the second round, and or this or yeah in the second round I got Ohio State over Clemson, Georgia over Texas.

[00:40:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Ole Miss over Utah and Oregon over FSU.

[00:40:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't kill me y'all like I'm gonna be living in Utah next year so don't kill me y'all, you know, but then in my semifinal.

[00:40:13] [SPEAKER_01]: I got Ohio State in Oregon. Most people have them playing for the Big Ten title, I don't, I picked Penn State. But I got Ohio State over Oregon so this will be the second matchup, not the third.

[00:40:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I got Georgia over Ole Miss, even though I'm picking Ole Miss to beat Georgia during the regular season.

[00:40:33] [SPEAKER_01]: So I got another rematch Georgia with the win. And then in my title game.

[00:40:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Ohio State over Georgia.

[00:40:43] [SPEAKER_01]: You know saying so there you go so Mr logical has Georgia over Ohio State. I have Ohio State over Georgia.

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_01]: You know craziness in my bracket because I got Miami in here I got Missouri in here I got Iowa in here.

[00:40:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I got three ACC teams where they do that at.

[00:41:03] [SPEAKER_01]: So, so you know, Mr logical, you know got Boise as his G five representative and I have Memphis as my G well Mike you know like I said man, you know, I could have took the easy way out, you know before the games this weekend, I had Florida State in the

[00:41:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want to come on here after the fact and be like, no, I don't got Florida State like, are you crazy. So I had Florida State so I'm gonna keep Florida State as a real power conference they still have a shot.

[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean there's currently 17th in the ACC.

[00:41:39] [SPEAKER_00]: But it's early, you know you can still make that break in the last hundred meters using Olympic terms. Yeah, this is this is going to be like we said Bam will make it. It's just to me.

[00:41:50] [SPEAKER_00]: I've never trusted the committee to take wins and losses into total accountability.

[00:41:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I think they, like I said, I believe right now you got 12 teams or 12 spots five automatic.

[00:42:07] Right.

[00:42:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Seven are up for grabs.

[00:42:10] [SPEAKER_00]: I think the committee is going to take 11 teams.

[00:42:18] [SPEAKER_00]: And then figure out ways to rationalize the seeds to get certain teams and allow what they did last year with Florida State for the state being undefeated conference champ should have been in the playoff.

[00:42:36] [SPEAKER_00]: But we saw them use the fact that they didn't have a complete team what the lack of their starting quarterback.

[00:42:46] [SPEAKER_00]: That should not factor in at all, because mathematically.

[00:42:50] [SPEAKER_00]: It didn't matter, because they still won their championship, but they still sit on the podium and had Georgia or Texas and Alabama and because like I said they were going to put Alabama in these couldn't put Alabama and what I put in Texas

[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_00]: because Texas beat Alabama. Right. So, what is the, yeah, the for the injury just made it easy because I think 12 and one Texas 13 know for the state with

[00:43:17] [SPEAKER_00]: healthy George rap. I think Alabama doesn't get in.

[00:43:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Just because you'd have to get you'd have to, you'd have to take an account that head to head matchup right, but I just didn't see a world where a 14 playoff was going to leave the SEC champion out like the SEC would if it would have

[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_01]: came down to it. The SEC champion would have been the first to lost team to get into playoff, like, you know if that was a scenario. Yeah, that would have been.

[00:43:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I mean hey, I don't know.

[00:43:45] [SPEAKER_01]: National champion Do you know who that was.

[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_01]: LSU. It was LSU over Ohio State, you know what I mean so like they were going to find a way and that's why I like, like that was my problem because Kirk Herbstreet in the game.

[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_01]: They had already started beating the drum against Florida State before Jordan Travis got hurt, they were already saying like, are you going to leave Bama out, are you going to leave Texas out like you know before Jordan Travis even got hurt.

[00:44:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Then when he got hurt, it was like oh hey, we got justification now. I think they could have justified.

[00:44:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no they couldn't. They thought it was the easiest one. Yeah, it was the easiest one you know it was it was a lowest hanging fruit.

[00:44:32] [SPEAKER_00]: But there we go so I think the same thing happened this year I think.

[00:44:36] [SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, maybe a 10 and two Clemson and a 10 and two Alabama.

[00:44:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I think they usher Alabama and that kind of scenario I just think that that would be tough see see I agree with you, but I also think it matters how it plays out.

[00:44:57] [SPEAKER_00]: So like what I mean if you're lost if your losses.

[00:45:02] [SPEAKER_00]: November, if you're two losses and the first and eighth. The yeah, or what a what a what a what a what a Clemson say beat Georgia.

[00:45:12] [SPEAKER_01]: You know lost at Florida State.

[00:45:15] [SPEAKER_01]: And then lost in the ACC Championship game.

[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_01]: And then Alabama.

[00:45:23] [SPEAKER_00]: LSU in a in a seven and five Tennessee, it would be tough, but I agree with you though I think I think they, I think they take Clemson because unless unless unless somebody on the committee has Nick savings phone number and he has theirs.

[00:45:43] [SPEAKER_01]: And he makes a call they do and that's my other question that we had asked before. Where's the influence. If you were, if you were to three in your conference like you know you regular season's over.

[00:45:57] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, Georgia's 12 and oh, they're in the SEC title game against say, we'll just call it.

[00:46:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Tennessee, Tennessee, we'll call it Tennessee just for the sake of argument. Yeah, you know, Tennessee's 11 and one. They lose the SEC title game to Georgia so now they got two losses.

[00:46:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Bama was the three with two losses.

[00:46:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Does Tennessee get credit for being the SEC runner up. Yes, or does Bama jump them, they'll get.

[00:46:32] [SPEAKER_00]: They'll get Tennessee and because basically they lost there, they got their second loss in their 13th game. Yeah. So I think what if what if Bama has what if Bama beat Tennessee in the right what if Bama was there one loss.

[00:46:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they'll still have a little actually that doesn't work out because they played both of them played Georgia so yeah so they'll have 11 wins. So I guess that'd be like, well they got 11 wins they play in a CZ champion they're still going to get in, and they'll just like I said they'll just fit them in.

[00:47:00] [SPEAKER_01]: So, so the key here is where does Notre Dame fit into all this, you know if they are playoff eligible like, you know, but I mean, I don't think they're going to be. I got a text saying them this weekend.

[00:47:13] [SPEAKER_00]: They got that they get that the Alabama easy street as well because that a helmet. Well the craziness is if they if they if they are eligible if they're actually I just never think Notre Dame is every year, people have them in the playoffs.

[00:47:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Every year, no matter who the quarterback is, no matter how many guys transferred out not any people graduated every year people just seeing Notre Dame Notre Dame Notre Dame is like, I haven't seen a championship level Notre Dame team in a while.

[00:47:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, every single year, someone has them even when it was four teams, every like I get it I know what happened once.

[00:47:53] [SPEAKER_00]: When the 14 playoff was like, they're not prime, they just have a great recruiting class because they recruited. It's like a Notre Dame Catholic schools in every good heights, every state with good high school football has a Notre Dame.

[00:48:07] [SPEAKER_00]: That's a pipeline school to Notre Dame, we got one here in Jersey.

[00:48:10] [SPEAKER_01]: We got one in Baltimore, you know but but we're going to find out this weekend right because Clemson goes to the compressor to play Georgia neutral field Miami goes to the swamp.

[00:48:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Notre Dame comes down here to play a and M.

[00:48:30] [SPEAKER_01]: LSU intro to Angeles play in Vegas.

[00:48:34] [SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to find out a whole lot this weekend, even though it's only one game.

[00:48:40] [SPEAKER_01]: The margin of error will exist. So here we are. Now that we're done with college football. The question on everybody's mind is, can the chiefs three Pete.

[00:48:54] [SPEAKER_01]: So Mr logical, you know, if you would real quick.

[00:48:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Recap your division winners in the NFL.

[00:49:04] [SPEAKER_00]: I got Miami, Kansas City, Houston, Baltimore.

[00:49:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, AFC.

[00:49:15] [SPEAKER_00]: NFC.

[00:49:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I have a revision.

[00:49:18] [SPEAKER_00]: I got Detroit San Francisco Dallas.

[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And I moved Atlanta up as a division winner, just because of the moves they made defensively.

[00:49:30] [SPEAKER_00]: You know saying I was on Atlanta from day one but I'm just saying I wasn't and I'll be honest, I wasn't like, they couldn't rush the pastor, they couldn't defend the past.

[00:49:41] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like they locked up AJ Terrell.

[00:49:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Justin Simmons on a one year deal. Jesse based on his big deal last year, they got Jude on for a steal. He seems motivated, we're number 15 down Atlanta.

[00:49:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I know he's you know over 30 past Russia 13.

[00:49:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not expecting two or three more years and 15 sacks per year I'm not expecting TJ watt numbers next year, but I feel like fourth quarter games like a game last year when Minnesota had Josh Dobbs came fresh off the plane to the stadium was the emergency quarterback

[00:50:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Jared Hall gets hurt.

[00:50:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Just didn't know the offensive lineman's name and let a game winning drive because Atlanta couldn't get to the passer. I don't even think it gets that point if you could rush the pastor.

[00:50:30] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think those, I think he kind of mass those moments.

[00:50:34] [SPEAKER_00]: They went defensive line and the draft so I figured, I mean nine and eight could win the division.

[00:50:41] [SPEAKER_00]: So I just feel the defensive moves, the teammate I still got to see it play out. I still had to see the relationship between the staff and the two quarterbacks if it's really Pinnix is waiting and Kurt has free reign to just ball out.

[00:51:00] [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, so that's that's that was my revision.

[00:51:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:51:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I guess my division winners are all the same minus the NFC east side to Philadelphia.

[00:51:15] [SPEAKER_01]: You know so there you go. All right, so now let's get to the playoffs.

[00:51:22] [SPEAKER_01]: So who is your who was your number one seed.

[00:51:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I got Detroit number one, and then see North I think Dan Campbell is going to be out to prove a point. So I think he's going to go after those wins, you know, 1213 wins I think he's really going to like drive home the point that I know I messed up on our trip to the Super Bowl

[00:51:55] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's been their Achilles heel over the last few years, we talked about to his record when it's under 50 degrees or something like one in seven or one and nine somewhere in that range.

[00:52:07] [SPEAKER_00]: So playing most of their games with the advantage also locking up to financially. I think that puts some ease on him.

[00:52:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't believe anybody's on the hot seat. They restructured Tyrick Hillsdale so he's getting paid more.

[00:52:24] [SPEAKER_00]: That way he does, he's not focused on all these other deals that just went out. So I think they're just kind of building in house and you know grant I know they haven't won a playoff game at 24 years but I'll give I'll give them the, I'll give them the regular season

[00:52:39] [SPEAKER_00]: as he is championship.

[00:52:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:52:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Alright so my one seeds are Detroit and

[00:52:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Kansas City.

[00:52:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Kansas City, what are we doing here.

[00:53:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Kansas City is the world world champions of what world champions. No no so for real though.

[00:53:08] [SPEAKER_01]: So, I went with Detroit. Just because I wanted to pick San Francisco.

[00:53:16] [SPEAKER_01]: But San Francisco has had a lot of injuries during the preseason.

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_01]: You know so I have to think that that's going to suffer a little bit early in the season as we get now Kansas City is also in the same boat because what's going on with Rashid Rice.

[00:53:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, Hollywood Brown has the shoulder injury and we don't know how long he's going to be out.

[00:53:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Alright, so then, as I thought about it.

[00:53:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I was looking at some things in the Rams are getting a lot of hype.

[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_01]: You know like people are saying that they're going to some mount San Francisco. All I know is Stafford's another year older and beat up, you know, Cooper Cup halfway beat up.

[00:54:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Aaron Donald gone. He's coming back.

[00:54:06] [SPEAKER_01]: He might but until he does, he gone.

[00:54:10] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know and I'm not saying that that means that the Rams are just going to fall off a cliff and go for 13 like we said last year, but you know but but I just it's just hard for me to see them surmounting San Francisco in that scenario.

[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Now, when I look at say like Green Bay for example.

[00:54:29] [SPEAKER_01]: That's a tough team for me to reconcile.

[00:54:31] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I can see because everybody you know they talk about CJ Stroud and they say, what if he has the sophomore slump. Now I know Jordan love isn't a sophomore in a sense because he's been around.

[00:54:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but last year was his first year starting. So who's to say that Jordan love can have a slump.

[00:54:51] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, so now you got the Bears out there maybe. No, you know, the thing with the Bears is that they have a defensive coach that pretty much had the same team last year with Justin Fields and I know Kayla Williams and Justin Fields aren't the same.

[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but he had the dynamic trio. I know Chase Claypool kind of panned out not to be as good.

[00:55:21] [SPEAKER_00]: But if you can work him very similar the way you work a tight end. Let's just try to give him these DJ more routes, given that you could have given the cold commit route so I think like just the fact that the defensive head coach didn't really didn't really make the

[00:55:34] [SPEAKER_00]: adjustments.

[00:55:36] [SPEAKER_00]: I can see. I can see Chicago going nine and eight and missing the playoffs, but having a good year good nine and eight.

[00:55:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:55:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:55:47] [SPEAKER_01]: All right, so I guess we'll start with the NFC since we're already there.

[00:55:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Word. So let's walk through this bracket.

[00:55:56] [SPEAKER_00]: All right.

[00:55:59] [SPEAKER_00]: So, my first round I got San Francisco versus the Rams.

[00:56:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Whoo, right off top.

[00:56:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because that's the two seven matchup.

[00:56:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Right off top.

[00:56:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Then I got Philly Dallas couple division foes Green Bay Atlanta.

[00:56:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Atlanta.

[00:56:28] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean,

[00:56:29] [SPEAKER_01]: trying to struggle not to be a homer to struggle is real.

[00:56:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Because I want to be honest.

[00:56:37] [SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to have similar records I think Atlanta with the with the new defensive pieces they added nine and eight 10 and seven at best like I said Adam seven and 10, because I thought they will lose games.

[00:56:49] [SPEAKER_00]: 2824 just because they couldn't get a stop.

[00:56:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Now I think a couple of those games shift because you have to get two safeties back there. You can move grant down on the box where you want to go time and just kind of give like you know different matchup problems with teams like the room with tight ends,

[00:57:04] [SPEAKER_00]: you got to form a strong safety that was a starter, you can put them down there you can cover the tight end. I think you can you can win a couple more games.

[00:57:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna say home game.

[00:57:19] [SPEAKER_00]: They get it.

[00:57:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, they win that home game.

[00:57:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Philly has a Philly did a lot with their personnel grouping. I just don't know if these reports about the coach quarterback relationship that the talent can trump that piece.

[00:57:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you think Johan Dotson makes a difference. I don't know why everyone kind of like just looked at this like it's like the greatest move ever Mike, if he wasn't really panning out that well and Washington.

[00:57:50] [SPEAKER_00]: And there's not more targets is going to get in Philly say quans got to get the ball 20 and 22 times.

[00:57:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Hurts is going to run six or seven times and throw maybe 35 times. He's got to get 11 to 12 targets to AJ Brown.

[00:58:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Eight to 10 to Devante Smith.

[00:58:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Another eight to 10 the Dallas gotter is like or like eight to Dallas gotter. There's like how many targets is Johan Dotson going to get to where he's like impactful.

[00:58:24] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think sometimes you can have too much.

[00:58:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, the good news is that it you know in Washington they wanted him to be the number two.

[00:58:33] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, and obviously he falls back to where he probably should be.

[00:58:39] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, in that slot receiver and maybe his like even if the numbers aren't there per se, maybe just the presence of him being in the slot.

[00:58:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you got you got to put it. You got to put a competent cover right on them like you can't just put a line back over there and say hey shut him down for two three seconds while we get to the quarterback.

[00:58:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, don't forget Bland is out for the next six to eight weeks by the way.

[00:59:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so it digs is coming back off of a ACL or an Achilles. I want to believe in Dallas. I think Dallas has a talent to win the regular season like I said, NFC East Championship I think they're going to play well at home throughout the year but it's just, I think the pressure cooker that is Dallas and that star.

[00:59:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna take Philly that round.

[00:59:29] [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm gonna take San Francisco I just feel like just just a wave of talent that just is going to just overwhelm the Rams eventually I know the Rams going to get a lot of guys open in space and staff or if you can make it through a season healthy no elbow or shoulder hand injuries

[00:59:45] [SPEAKER_00]: he seems to always his hand on a helmet, his elbow and how there's always something that messes with his throw emotions where you can't even play through. If you hurt his leg, and they could put a brace on it and he still got there and just do his thing but there's always something shoulder

[01:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: hand, elbow, that he can't.

[01:00:04] [SPEAKER_00]: He just can't he can't he can't be out here.

[01:00:07] [SPEAKER_00]: He just can't.

[01:00:07] [SPEAKER_00]: I was just said today my grandson, it didn't work he did not. He's just not like that song.

[01:00:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so if we do the recede so they got as Detroit Atlanta playing against the note over the Philly playing Detroit and Atlanta San Francisco.

[01:00:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't be here. I'll be honest.

[01:00:32] [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna have, I think we got an MC championship rematch San Francisco Detroit.

[01:00:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Detroit was it this time.

[01:00:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, go to Super Bowl okay to trade to the Super Bowl.

[01:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_01]: In my NFC, like I said I got Detroit as the first round by, you know, so talking about DAC owns Philly.

[01:00:59] [SPEAKER_01]: How about San Francisco owns y'all. So San Francisco knocks Dallas out in the first round.

[01:01:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I got Green Bay going into the compressor, walking out showing no love as they move on to the next round.

[01:01:17] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, then it gets a little crazy over here I admit it's getting a little crazy over here. I got Philly over the Rams in the second round.

[01:01:29] [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, that's still first round.

[01:01:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, cuz you got Philly you got Philly winning in a seas. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. Yes, I got Philly over the Rams.

[01:01:37] [SPEAKER_01]: So then as I go to the second round.

[01:01:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I got Philly beating Detroit and I got San Francisco over Green Bay and then I got San Francisco put in the Molly WAP on the Eagles.

[01:01:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So I got San Francisco going back to the Super Bowl.

[01:02:05] [SPEAKER_00]: It just happened to happen that often. I know.

[01:02:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Just and that's, and that's where those injuries might catch up.

[01:02:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You know it could you know you right it could it could happen that way.

[01:02:19] [SPEAKER_00]: So you got San Francisco back in the Super Bowl. Yes, who's gonna be their opponent.

[01:02:25] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll get to that don't rush me, don't rush me.

[01:02:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Alright, so the AFC I mentioned, Kansas City gets my first round by, you know, so everything must go through arrowhead.

[01:02:38] [SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[01:02:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Mr logical about to have my ass in a minute pause.

[01:02:44] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, saying. All right, so I got Miami.

[01:02:50] [SPEAKER_01]: As the two seed.

[01:02:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[01:02:55] [SPEAKER_01]: You ready for this mic.

[01:02:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I got Miami knocking off Tennessee.

[01:03:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Indie the drought.

[01:03:05] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, Will Levis is going to have a remarkable season they went out and got Calvin Ridley to go across from the Andre Hopkins they brought in Tyler Boyd the master the slot.

[01:03:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I love Taj Spears. I'm not the biggest Tony Pollard fan, but he serves a purpose they went out and got the Jerry a sneed and Jamal Adams.

[01:03:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm here for the Titans.

[01:03:29] [SPEAKER_01]: All right, then.

[01:03:33] [SPEAKER_01]: As I put my head down.

[01:03:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I got Baltimore with Buffalo.

[01:03:40] [SPEAKER_01]: You know if this was last year I would have picked Buffalo but Buffalo lost something you know they lost a lot so I'm going Baltimore over Buffalo.

[01:03:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I got Houston over Cleveland.

[01:03:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Repeat from last year.

[01:03:57] [SPEAKER_01]: So if you're paying attention out there. Yes, that means I do not have the Cincinnati Bengals in the playoffs.

[01:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: That means I don't have the Jacksonville Jaguars in the playoffs.

[01:04:07] [SPEAKER_01]: And if lethal is listening out there I don't have the damn Colts in the playoffs playoffs.

[01:04:12] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, so then second round.

[01:04:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I got Baltimore over Miami.

[01:04:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And this is where we go to war.

[01:04:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking Houston to in Kansas City's reign of terror.

[01:04:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking CJ Stroud to go into arrowhead and walk out with a scalp in the second round in the second round around.

[01:04:46] [SPEAKER_01]: He's never lost in fine. There's a first time for everything. True, true. I like it. I like it.

[01:04:53] [SPEAKER_01]: There was a time where Kansas City never played a road playoff game.

[01:04:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you think things are shifting.

[01:05:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I'd eat it. And then I got Baltimore in the Super Bowl 49ers finally get it done.

[01:05:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Alright so my reason a little different. So I got Miami is my one see so my two seven matchup is Kansas City Cincinnati I think Kansas City handles business that bro head talk is going to come up to you.

[01:05:24] [SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna come up that week. The mayor is going to say something.

[01:05:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Nick writes a fire ass. It would work if you it.

[01:05:36] [SPEAKER_00]: It would work if Joe burrow had the kind of winds that my homes has over Josh out like those level of wins.

[01:05:48] [SPEAKER_00]: I think they got the one playoff win and a couple of regular regular season wins. And I think each one of those Kansas City was up, and then Cincinnati came back so it wasn't like they just dominated them.

[01:06:00] [SPEAKER_00]: But like I said, it was one, you know, as he champed a game which is huge. That's a huge moment. But like the way, Joe, the way we got that second one if they didn't call that push out of bounds.

[01:06:12] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean to do was two yards out of bounds you can't have him in the box. He definitely was, but I think they even even if they didn't call that I believe they had enough time to still make another play that gets Harrison Buckner and the field range anyway.

[01:06:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[01:06:28] [SPEAKER_00]: What else you got. So then I got my other batch up. I got Houston beaten Buffalo, I think Josh Allen is going to have a Herculean know like, it's gonna be like Zeus out there.

[01:06:42] [SPEAKER_00]: To carry these these bills to the to the promised land, and it's gonna come up short of first round of playoffs because I'm not sure if the weapons are going to be able to usurp what he was going to be able to do to them so I got to say it is so what you're saying is, you had

[01:06:59] [SPEAKER_00]: John, Josh Allen as the MVP last year he didn't get it so he gonna get it this year. That's what you're saying. What's going to Josh Allen MVP candidacy is going to be the best this year because he is going to be viewed as the only piece of offensive and upper

[01:07:18] [SPEAKER_00]: player on the team. So I threw him and the undocked is on the edge as a, as a tackle is left tackle.

[01:07:26] [SPEAKER_00]: There won't be a consistent like oh, these guys are elite so disrespectful elite offensive players.

[01:07:35] [SPEAKER_01]: You go act like James cook a finished fourth in the league in Russia last year.

[01:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: But we.

[01:07:43] [SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't make him elite and I see here is had 1000 yards you gotta be elite but he could be top six or seven in the league in Russian again. Yeah, but that having a top Russia running back that isn't Christian McCaffrey or someone that's, I'm not saying

[01:07:58] [SPEAKER_00]: like he won't be they won't be good players. I'm talking about the the narrative surrounding Josh Allen will be. He is the offense. Oh, he bought to get that LeBron stimulus. He bought the gift noise but to get the Lamar stimulus.

[01:08:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Mark the double MVP to me piece of my eyes because the narrative was, he didn't have the wide receiver talent that other quarterbacks had.

[01:08:22] [SPEAKER_00]: All right, who else would have Josh Allen last year. Yeah, so but they're gonna lose to Houston.

[01:08:27] [SPEAKER_00]: And then I got the brother bowl, the hardball brothers battling out Baltimore and the Chargers. Okay.

[01:08:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I got the, I got John.

[01:08:36] [SPEAKER_01]: One lead. Speaking of hardball real quick. Did you realize that Michigan got their outlet notice of allegations today, and the Connor stallions documentary comes out in two days.

[01:08:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Talk about timing, but anyway, brother holes. It's chaos I got the brother bowl in the first round of playoffs can be great I'm talking about it all week.

[01:09:01] [SPEAKER_00]: But I got bought one winning that. Okay. So my, my division around matchups. I'm going to go Miami and Baltimore Kansas City and Houston I got Kansas City beating Houston.

[01:09:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't believe they walk in arrowhead and one for there.

[01:09:20] [SPEAKER_00]: And I got Baltimore beat Miami rematch, a championship game and arrowhead Kansas City over Baltimore.

[01:09:30] [SPEAKER_00]: They play Detroit and the Super Bowl.

[01:09:33] [SPEAKER_00]: And they three p.

[01:09:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna go on a legend say yes, I still I still see.

[01:09:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Last year was the year to get it right. It's so like it's so, it's so but to just say this like I get it. It's like it's not a want to be I want to have like conviction. Right, but I just, I just don't see like all things being equal.

[01:09:58] [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm gonna go for a second. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on.

[01:10:20] [SPEAKER_01]: You didn't have the mighty Jacksonville Jaguars in the playoffs.

[01:10:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Did that Jacksonville in the playoffs.

[01:10:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I do like what they did a wide receiver I like the LSU I received they drafted Thomas, I think he's going to be better than Malik neighbors I was like his attitude but I think he just a little bit more of a lunch bell just go to work kind of guy.

[01:10:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I think the Giants will be one of those teams that lose pieces because it's going to be the New York teams are going to be more drama off the field than performance on the field as have that feeling I think Malik neighbors is going to.

[01:11:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to have these outbursts like Odell had.

[01:11:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I understand. I understand passion.

[01:11:10] [SPEAKER_00]: But you also have to understand like professionalism understand with where you are. But like I said during this pro day, he ran, but every time you ran there's pro day and was like flexing and just like, she still know about me I'm like dog it's a pro day.

[01:11:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Go out here and play for real, and get your wins or losses. I just I just I just feel like some teams are going to be like I said I think sometimes are going to be sellers at the trade deadline.

[01:11:39] [SPEAKER_00]: And that can change the entire dynamic.

[01:11:42] [SPEAKER_00]: If you think about Kansas City, I don't believe they're paying any of their, any of their top players, other than maybe Chris Jones, that might be getting paid at that upper, upper echelon of the know what makes me kind of afraid.

[01:11:55] [SPEAKER_01]: And I know that Patrick my homes is great, you know, obviously, you know, for the fact that they felt the need to go sign juju makes me believe that Hollywood Brown's going to miss a lot of time for she rises or she writes, you know and of course we got.

[01:12:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it just escaped me. Go ahead, it just I just lost my thought. Yeah.

[01:12:23] [SPEAKER_00]: So, like I said, I feel like you guys got a market go back check it.

[01:12:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I said Matthew Jude I will probably be treated by the trade deadline I think you get traded before the end of the preseason, but you get to sell certain guys are just unhappy with certain veterans is our understanding.

[01:12:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna make a lot of money.

[01:12:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I got a short amount of time to really be successful.

[01:12:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I've got my guarantee my sign it bonuses for these big deals and the team around me that paid me this big deal fell apart, like if Miami didn't resign to and walked and Tyree cuz I hear trying to figure out who the next quarterbacks going to be.

[01:13:04] [SPEAKER_00]: I figured he'd be just as angry as the Vontae Adams is. I think the Vontae Adams get a trading to the Jets is more likely than anything else and I think if that happens, that changes my AFC pitcher.

[01:13:19] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.

[01:13:22] I don't.

[01:13:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if this matters. I believe Garrett Wilson was 17.

[01:13:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Last season right.

[01:13:32] [SPEAKER_00]: And this year he changed the five. I believe so.

[01:13:37] [SPEAKER_00]: The Vontae Adams where 17. What if anybody else picked up that number, or is it vacant with this understanding that Aaron's going to go. What's gonna be vacant.

[01:13:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Let me see.

[01:13:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Next year that's what's going to be vacant.

[01:13:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Now that they not they make one of these moves, they, I mean, even if they do.

[01:14:00] [SPEAKER_01]: It don't matter.

[01:14:01] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that them adding Devante fixes anything in their locker room. It doesn't fix Aaron's attitude, it doesn't fix the fact that Aaron Rodgers is not the quarterback that he was two to three years ago, doesn't change the fact that he ain't old man.

[01:14:20] [SPEAKER_01]: You know so I mean I'm just not in on the Jets, you know, like, and that's the thing, the situation.

[01:14:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not in on them either. But Malachi Corley wire receiver I'm pretty sure they can get that number off of them if they trade for believe he's a rookie. Yeah.

[01:14:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so that's what I'm going to practice.

[01:14:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, the thing about the Jets and this is the thing with the Jets and like I said I don't want to bring fact you know feels so fact fight.

[01:14:46] [SPEAKER_00]: My issue with the Jets is that I don't like how they're just operating at the podium and off of the field. Right. And I agree with that. Yeah.

[01:14:58] [SPEAKER_00]: And the game is played on the field.

[01:15:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I believe they have the talent to win.

[01:15:08] [SPEAKER_00]: I just was thinking, I can't really think three AFC East teams again in the same way I wouldn't put three AFC North teams and well for a second because they happened.

[01:15:20] [SPEAKER_01]: What happened battle each other. What happened to the Steelers have a coach that are that is even kill is me don't bet.

[01:15:29] [SPEAKER_00]: What happened to all that. I'm not betting the I'm just, I'm still I'm staying true to my logic.

[01:15:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't see them making it through the season without a quarterback controversy with two guys who could potentially under cheap, I thought Russ was a good quarterback last year Denver and I kind of put it all on shopping.

[01:15:52] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure if Pittsburgh, adding Justin Fields helped Russ. Do you and I don't.

[01:16:04] [SPEAKER_00]: But that's it. He I think he sees the field, because one of the other than as a quarterback that's what I was going to ask you.

[01:16:13] [SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll put them out there and gadget plays I think they'll put them out there for double passes but ultimately Pittsburgh has a very easy early schedule.

[01:16:25] [SPEAKER_00]: So whoever is the starter, not necessarily easy relative to the latter half their schedule their first eight games versus the first nine games versus the following eight games by comparison once easier than the other.

[01:16:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Like there's two separate slices of pie.

[01:16:42] [SPEAKER_00]: If Russ can perform and TJ watt stays healthy and he play like his record something like 39 and 17 when he plays, and like one in the 11 when he doesn't.

[01:16:54] [SPEAKER_00]: It's just if they can keep all those players are I think they'll be fine. I think that last stretch is just gonna be too tough. They can play the best football they can, but to play it for that schedule for those eight games.

[01:17:07] [SPEAKER_00]: It's that's just gonna be tough you're bound to NFL you're bound to lose games anyway. Tim like I said 10 and seven is gets you into the playoffs as a wild card. So you got to go 10 and seven.

[01:17:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Right. If you don't win your division and you're not going to win AC North at 10 and seven or nine and eight.

[01:17:26] [SPEAKER_00]: So I just don't see Pittsburgh going 10 and seven, just because of the stretch.

[01:17:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Fair enough, you know because like I said, the Steelers are going below 500 for the first time and Mike Tomlin career.

[01:17:44] [SPEAKER_00]: That would be tough to get fired after that and I get that you throw in the playoff losses and like success but it's a lot of

[01:17:51] [SPEAKER_01]: higher 17.

[01:17:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's a tough road so tough road.

[01:17:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think I think they.

[01:18:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I think if they had different ownership or actually 2016 my bad. If they had different ownership I think they'd be fired. He'd be fired.

[01:18:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but the fact that they have, you know that old money more like nothing good of Rudy's the Rudy that old money just like keep the investment keep everything like then we don't gamble.

[01:18:25] [SPEAKER_00]: What stable stable is good smart head coach. We get wins we have one down year.

[01:18:32] [SPEAKER_00]: But I just, I didn't like the player I didn't like the moves getting just the fields and Russia at the same time two guys on proven deals with both can prove simultaneously is a bad combination.

[01:18:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Alright last thing before we get out of here.

[01:18:46] [SPEAKER_01]: In our tradition.

[01:18:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's spitball real quick.

[01:18:52] [SPEAKER_01]: What coaches are not head coaches next season.

[01:18:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah this is a thing we do this every year.

[01:19:00] [SPEAKER_01]: You want to want to go division by division go AFC East. Yeah, we're AFC East, I think, I think everybody returns besides.

[01:19:10] Salah.

[01:19:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that it is possible, depending on how Buffalo season ends McDermott to go, I think McDermott could go, not that I think he deserves to.

[01:19:21] [SPEAKER_01]: But I just think that you hit a wall at some point of.

[01:19:27] [SPEAKER_01]: We've been doing this for seven years we've been doing this for eight years.

[01:19:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Alright, South.

[01:19:36] [SPEAKER_00]: South.

[01:19:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Dougie PC.

[01:19:39] [SPEAKER_01]: No he's not.

[01:19:42] [SPEAKER_01]: That quarterback that money. Yeah, just if they don't make the playoffs he's gone, and I don't have them making the playoffs so therefore, I think he's gone.

[01:19:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Dougie P everybody else is safe, everybody else safe.

[01:19:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Alright, North Tomlin.

[01:20:00] Possibly.

[01:20:02] [SPEAKER_01]: The Steelers just don't fire coaches though you know they don't fire coaches but maybe.

[01:20:07] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's possible because like I said they haven't won a playoff game since 2016. You know what I mean like, like without that if they, if it was more recent with a playoff win, then I'd say okay but you're pushing up on a decade with no playoff win.

[01:20:21] [SPEAKER_00]: The West I think everyone's safe.

[01:20:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think paying as far as the West. Yeah, I think his deal is like, I don't know if I ever looked it up or just rumors like 20 million a year.

[01:20:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's too ironclad yeah yeah yeah I think yeah I think we're good.

[01:20:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Then in the NFC East.

[01:20:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about McCarthy. Yeah, just because not because I think he deserves to be fired not because he did anything wrong. The Cowboys just seem to be in a state of flux right now.

[01:20:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I think McCarthy resigns.

[01:20:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I think I think he doesn't come back. I can see that, especially depending on what happens with the quarterback. All right, Sirianni.

[01:21:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you take the quarterback you take the coach if Philly doesn't make the playoffs, or let's say they get in that nine and eight, and they lose in the first round.

[01:21:17] [SPEAKER_01]: He's gone.

[01:21:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Because this is the second straight year that you're coming in with new coordinators.

[01:21:24] [SPEAKER_00]: If, if they keep him if McCarthy leaves and Dallas you think Philly says okay cool we got an advantage at coach on the division we keep them. You think they wait.

[01:21:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't see. You don't think so. No, I don't think so because I think because I think Philly views themselves as a Super Bowl team.

[01:21:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean they just made it two years ago. They started out what 10 and one last year had the.

[01:21:47] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't have a just fell apart.

[01:21:51] [SPEAKER_00]: We already know Dennis Allen in South. Yeah, Dennis Allen's gone.

[01:21:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody else should be good.

[01:21:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Ibrah flus.

[01:22:03] [SPEAKER_01]: They go nine and 889 offense doesn't pop. I think you get rid of them and bring it off as a coach. I think, no, because I think that would have been the job to that you would have fired them this year.

[01:22:22] [SPEAKER_00]: No one that you were getting Caleb Williams you would have fired him this year, but the difference is, I looked at Justin Fields, and I can tell he was holding on to the ball too long.

[01:22:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I can tell he was causing you somebody's problems.

[01:22:39] [SPEAKER_00]: I think Caleb Williams is going to get that ball out. I think Caleb Williams is going to get it to these weapons and or he's going to want to, and it's going to be situations where it's fourth and three and you should go for it.

[01:22:54] [SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna be like we're gonna pun it rely on our defense and defense is going to come down and give up the, the stories. I think it's gonna be some of those games were like, because Kyle Carter talks about this a lot and I don't know how much he's really research is kind of like, this is an observational piece.

[01:23:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Defensive head coaches tend to err on the side of caution.

[01:23:17] [SPEAKER_00]: So, like I said, fourth and two from the 44 you go for it. You in the game.

[01:23:25] [SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna pun it rely on his defense bad passing the Ferris call, and now Minnesota is at the 35.

[01:23:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I say, I say, I think he does that two or three times what and they lose a game because of it. I think he, I say nine and eight he stays just because it's a two game improvement.

[01:23:49] [SPEAKER_01]: You know with the rookie quarterback and first year of a new system. You got all this have to be better.

[01:23:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean yeah it does I mean you brought in Shane Waldron who worked on the reclamation project known as Gino Smith.

[01:24:04] [SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, you're saying by these 3800 or what was a rookie record, I would say 4200 yards from I would say I would say 4027 touchdowns, I would say 3500 yards 24 touchdowns and less than 13 interceptions.

[01:24:23] [SPEAKER_00]: If you go if you're going less than 13 interceptions I think I need you need 28 touchdowns. Okay, fair enough. I think it but like the offense has to pop, it has to look like it has to look like Kansas City light, not 50 touchdown my homes, but it has to have that quick strike consistently week to week.

[01:24:46] [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know how he's going to play in the cold I mean played in Oklahoma gets pretty cold and that the panhandle. So I don't know he's going to handle the cold but if that's that you know Lake Michigan.

[01:24:56] [SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, Lake Superior and all that all that cold winds us whipping around from the Great Lakes.

[01:25:01] [SPEAKER_00]: You know is he going to be able to run around a scramble on ice when soldier field is cold so out West could shana had get fired.

[01:25:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Nah, let's just avoid your guy.

[01:25:16] [SPEAKER_00]: He's brandy he was in that secret meeting at the, in the woods with the owl carved into the tree. So they're good. So I don't think, I don't think anybody in that division gets fired because this is you know McDonald's first year.

[01:25:32] [SPEAKER_01]: This is Gannon second year.

[01:25:35] [SPEAKER_01]: You better give a better speech I'm firing them if I get another speech like that you get fired. But I wonder if Matt Stafford retires or gets hurt again. Oh, does McVeigh goes, stand next to Tom Brady.

[01:25:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Right, because I mean he's threatened after you know Super Bowls and stuff so you know, does he is either next year just based off of or if it doesn't work this year. They don't make the playoffs, especially with all the hype they're getting.

[01:26:08] [SPEAKER_00]: He's just walk away.

[01:26:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Does he take a year off to have a baby. And so you know I'm going to take this time off me and I think they just got married. I know around the time that they traded golf, at least she was his fiance.

[01:26:21] [SPEAKER_00]: So maybe but like I said the money is the money for him, because we talked about Tom Brady's booth contract 38 million. Yeah, 38 million a year. Yeah.

[01:26:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Everyone, like everyone when they interview Sean McVeigh, they only talk, they talked to him about his his his memory and the way breaks down plays.

[01:26:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Naturally is charismatic looks the part.

[01:26:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I can see him in the booth maybe not next to Tom Brady because it's like a seven inch height difference. So it would look kind of odd but I can see him, you know, Mike to Rico somebody like that I can see him doing one of these, you know, or somebody show or up there with Tony

[01:27:02] [SPEAKER_00]: I can see him breaking down on, you know, football night in America. I can see somebody reaching out to him soon as he says I'm soon as the season looks like it's going to wrap up for the Rams and then engage Hey, are you ready to go because I can't imagine

[01:27:32] [SPEAKER_00]: And you know, and Cooper Cup, and just and those guys are just carrying a rock. Right. I have yards of the catching. It's the same thing with Cooper Cup, winning MVP when they want it. Right.

[01:27:47] [SPEAKER_01]: So, so there you go. You know, that's, that's our coaching thoughts and you know we'll be back on Thursday. So we got eight new jobs, because we got some big games to preview for this weekend.
