FEELING SUPER

Two-Five starts off with some messiness from the Transfer Portal. (01:30) There is a new qb in Atlanta. (08:15) How many teams can win the Super Bowl? (18:52) The College Football Playoffs start on Friday and the guys have picks! Plus more! (45:48)

[00:00:02] Good evening, one and all. How you doing? No, that's not how we do it. We get it started like this. Yes, you are now listening to the sound of Sports Reports As Ordered. And sometimes, depending on who you talk to, they might call us Sports Reports Disordered. You know, just be like that sometimes.

[00:00:30] But myself, 2-5, aka the Aggie Daddy, your unorthodox statistician going left so much you thought I was South Park. And I brought along with me the one and only world renowned, even killed, born in Texas, raised in VA, representing New Jerroos, and all you romantics out there. Pay your homage to New Jersey, the first state with a drive-in theater.

[00:00:56] Yes, Sports Reports As Ordered. Tonight, we're going to talk about Super Bowl favorites. We're going to talk about college football playoff picks. It's that time.

[00:01:09] But of course, we're going to get this thing started off with, get it off my chest. But before we do that, like, review, subscribe, share, rate, do all the free things.

[00:01:21] Do all the good things. So, Mr. Logical?

[00:01:28] Yes.

[00:01:29] You know, we always talk about this stupid-ass college football calendar, you know, that throws the transfer portal upon us basically as soon as the season ends.

[00:01:42] So, you already got some NFL prospects that aren't going to play in the bowl games because they don't want to risk injury.

[00:01:48] So, then you got guys trying to leave as well so that they can enroll into their new schools so they can be available for spring practice.

[00:01:56] But there was a couple of things that stood out to me.

[00:01:58] So, real quick, Dabo Sweeney actually took a transfer?

[00:02:03] Listen.

[00:02:04] What?

[00:02:05] He knew it was going to happen.

[00:02:07] What?

[00:02:10] But, bro, Prebula, you know, we talked about him, you know, a couple of months ago.

[00:02:18] He came in for Drew Aller in relief in the Wisconsin game for Penn State and led them to victory.

[00:02:24] Well, he's now in the transfer portal, you know.

[00:02:28] So, cross your fingers, cross your heart.

[00:02:31] Hopefully, Drew Aller doesn't get hurt during these here playoffs.

[00:02:35] Last year, we had a similar situation where Malik Murphy, not Arch Manning, was the backup.

[00:02:42] And then he decided after the season, I got to get in the portal.

[00:02:46] I know Arch is taking over.

[00:02:48] I'm out of here.

[00:02:48] So, Texas was in this position.

[00:02:50] Luckily, Quinn Ewers didn't get hurt.

[00:02:52] But luckily for us, Sark doesn't necessarily win the big game.

[00:02:56] So, it all worked out anyway.

[00:02:58] Yeah.

[00:02:58] You know, but some things that stood out to me about that is Preston Stone, the backup at SMU, is also in the transfer portal.

[00:03:08] The difference is he's still going to play if necessary, whereas Prebula is gone.

[00:03:16] So, James Franklin talked about it.

[00:03:19] And, you know, that's what I was waiting for because I didn't know if this was a, hey, if you're going in the portal, just get out of here.

[00:03:25] But Drew Aller announced yesterday that he's coming back next year.

[00:03:29] So, it made more sense that Prebula was leaving.

[00:03:33] But what didn't make sense, and we talked about this a few weeks ago, Charles Huff at Marshall, you know, didn't have a contract coming into this year.

[00:03:43] You know, took the team to the Sun Belt Championship.

[00:03:47] Took the job at Southern Miss.

[00:03:51] And then all the players damn near jumped into the portal.

[00:04:03] And then all the players said, you know, they're going to be able to do the honorable thing that Florida State should have done last year in the Orange Bowl.

[00:04:08] Right?

[00:04:09] So, you got that going on.

[00:04:11] So, I imagine the AD's in trouble.

[00:04:15] You know, there's going to be something going on with his job security.

[00:04:18] You know?

[00:04:20] And then the last thing that stood out to me was, I was reading something earlier, said that Brian Kelly down at LSU is going to donate a million dollars of his own money to help LSU grab some players.

[00:04:35] So, you know, like, hey, put your money where your mouth is, I guess.

[00:04:39] You know, this man trying to win national title.

[00:04:41] He figured I should put up a million now, you know, because I'm going to lose the millions later if I don't do nothing.

[00:04:48] Yeah, he's putting that million up because, you know, you're about to lose your job.

[00:04:55] So, he can go in there like, listen, I gave him a million dollars because if you're LSU, you don't need his million.

[00:05:01] You have boosters.

[00:05:03] Hell, Odell Beckham was on the field giving out thousands of dollars after they won the last championship.

[00:05:08] Yeah.

[00:05:08] On TV.

[00:05:09] Yes.

[00:05:10] We'll have to see.

[00:05:11] We'll have to see what revenue sharing looks like next year when it's in execution.

[00:05:16] But, you know, everybody's trying to get creative and create ways to make this beneficial to them.

[00:05:24] So, that was all I had, you know, just as far as the transfer portal goes.

[00:05:28] Just a few things that stood out to me over the last week or so.

[00:05:32] I like Franklin's statement.

[00:05:34] He said, you know, it wasn't particularly a bowl problem.

[00:05:38] It was a college football problem.

[00:05:39] Because, ultimately, if you're aware that this person's transferring from another school, they're an athlete, and they're playoff, their bowl season, or their prior obligations to their previous schools do run into January, then there should be some formative exception for them.

[00:06:04] And I get that people say, oh, you can't keep giving these athletes exceptions.

[00:06:08] Well, they do.

[00:06:10] They do all the time.

[00:06:12] Like, when they're on those road games, they get a tutor or multiple teacher's assistants that travel with the team.

[00:06:18] They get to probably do more.

[00:06:20] They probably were doing a lot more satellite classes with basketball and different academics.

[00:06:27] Like, everybody, like, it's not the same for everybody.

[00:06:30] So, if you're setting the rules saying, oh, this student has to be enrolled by this date, you get a premature enrollment agreement in place that says,

[00:06:38] as soon as my college football obligation is complete with previous school, I will join your school.

[00:06:46] If it's a matter of some assignments, like, how many assignments could this person miss in a week in the January post-holidays?

[00:06:56] Professors aren't running back trying to give out term papers like you just started.

[00:07:01] So, it's a little different than the person being sick for a few days saying, hey, I can't come to school for a week.

[00:07:07] Like, they're in there.

[00:07:09] The way we as humans talk about rules, we act as if we didn't establish those rules in place.

[00:07:19] It's like, we wrote this stuff.

[00:07:21] Like, I talk about it at work all the time when these guys are painting themselves into the corner with the verbiage of these paragraphs.

[00:07:26] I'm like, how about you guys write the paragraph different?

[00:07:30] You give your input.

[00:07:32] You have these meetings multiple times a year.

[00:07:35] So, college football, you have these meetings.

[00:07:37] Put an input like, hey, you can sign a pre, you know, the same way when high school players say they're going to commit to a school.

[00:07:47] Just sign that same commitment under the terms of any exceptions.

[00:07:53] Hey, obligation to prior football school once they are complete, this individual will enroll in new school.

[00:08:02] Right.

[00:08:03] And bonjour.

[00:08:04] You want to name my screen, which is March.

[00:08:07] And bonjour, mademoiselle.

[00:08:10] Merci beaucoup.

[00:08:11] We appreciate you.

[00:08:12] You know, so, yes.

[00:08:15] You know, now for something that Mr. Logical has been waiting for for about five or six weeks now, he's not the only one popping bottles.

[00:08:40] This is a thing.

[00:08:42] A few weeks ago, Mike sent me a screenshot of a comment somebody made on our YouTube page when I was talking about the Bears.

[00:08:52] And I said, hey, the coach, quarterback, GM relationship, the whole way they went about getting Caleb Williams and not really supporting them.

[00:09:03] And I ran off a few, you know, thoughts about the subject.

[00:09:07] And this guy commented on the thing he was like, the more and more I listen to this guy, this guy really knows football.

[00:09:13] And I always I sit up here talking about like, I know what I'm talking about.

[00:09:16] I know what I'm talking about.

[00:09:17] But it feels good with somebody else.

[00:09:19] Like, you know what?

[00:09:19] This dude really he made a lot of sense.

[00:09:23] Watching the Falcons do exactly what I said they would do improperly at the beginning of the year.

[00:09:30] It gives me a little solace, like at least it's clear.

[00:09:35] That you're all doing this wrong.

[00:09:37] So last night, like I said, I normally watch the games on mute.

[00:09:41] But last night I watched it.

[00:09:42] I was sitting in my living room watching.

[00:09:44] When I watch it on my phone, I normally watch it on mute because I'm watching something on TV and I had a game on mute.

[00:09:48] But I was watching on TV in my living room.

[00:09:52] And Dan Orlowski and Lou Riddick, they were both saying the same things that I've been saying for weeks.

[00:10:01] There's no confidence.

[00:10:02] There's no continuity.

[00:10:04] And there's no deliberate action to get the playmakers that you drafted in the top ten.

[00:10:11] Keep in mind, four drafts in a row.

[00:10:14] Atlanta's taking an offensive player eight or higher.

[00:10:18] So three guys at eight, one guy at four.

[00:10:22] And none of them are, they're not deliberately, collectively deployed upon the opposing defense simultaneously.

[00:10:33] A couple of games, a game against Tampa Bay, I think Kyle Pitts had a couple of touchdowns.

[00:10:38] I think Drake London, he's getting a lot of receiving yards, getting a lot of targets.

[00:10:42] But it's not deliberately, I'm attacking you with this player.

[00:10:46] The way Philly would attack defenses with Deshaun Jackson.

[00:10:51] Deshaun Jackson never went three quarters without a deep shot.

[00:10:57] Like everyone talks about the Michael Vick six touchdown game against the formerly known Redskins back in the day.

[00:11:02] The first long touchdown.

[00:11:06] The first long touchdown was a play action.

[00:11:09] Deep shot to Deshaun Jackson.

[00:11:11] Like, we're going to put this in place immediately.

[00:11:14] Atlanta never did that.

[00:11:15] So now they're benching Kirk Cousins.

[00:11:17] Because last night, I think he had like 15 pass attempts.

[00:11:20] Maybe 16.

[00:11:22] Many of them on third down.

[00:11:24] Many of them were incomplete.

[00:11:25] A lot of punts.

[00:11:26] A lot of field goal attempts.

[00:11:28] Missed field goals.

[00:11:29] They were up.

[00:11:31] And the whole time Olasky was like, I get it.

[00:11:33] You probably can write this in as a win when you come play the Raiders.

[00:11:36] They're down at a third string quarterback.

[00:11:39] So many injuries.

[00:11:40] The defensive players are gone.

[00:11:41] But this is a game where you need to be bad.

[00:11:43] And we get Raiders dads this weekend.

[00:11:46] And it's the race for first place.

[00:11:51] The first draft pick.

[00:11:53] Yeah.

[00:11:54] So the fact that even they were saying like, yo, this guy doesn't have any confidence at all.

[00:12:01] And I don't know why coaches are like this.

[00:12:06] You know, like, because I take it back.

[00:12:09] I'm just going off of the point that you made earlier about how they don't deliberately employ or deploy all their players at the stars at the same time.

[00:12:19] So it made me think of when you said that the first thing that popped into my mind was the national title game USC against Texas.

[00:12:29] You know, Reggie and Lindale both weren't on the field.

[00:12:33] On that fourth and one.

[00:12:34] On that fourth and one.

[00:12:36] And it was like.

[00:12:36] Reggie Bush on the field makes three people have to focus at least for a half second on him.

[00:12:42] Especially when everybody knows that you're giving Lindale the ball.

[00:12:48] We all do it.

[00:12:49] But it's like, once again, if you put Bijan, Drake London, Kyle Pitts in some kind of trips formation.

[00:13:01] The defense has to respect the talent and the size of all of them.

[00:13:07] Even if you're not collectively in a groove.

[00:13:10] The offensive coordinator is never in a groove.

[00:13:13] Ben Johnson with the Lions.

[00:13:16] Every week they give you something.

[00:13:18] Yeah, they give you some trick plays.

[00:13:20] But they're getting the ball to Jameer Gibbs.

[00:13:22] They're getting the ball to Montgomery.

[00:13:24] They're getting Amin Ra.

[00:13:25] Granted, they have Jared Goff who's playing with a lot of confidence.

[00:13:27] But you know you're going to get action from the offensive side of the ball when you play Detroit.

[00:13:37] Last night, it felt as if they sat down and had a conversation saying, hey, Kurt, this is what's going to happen.

[00:13:45] We want to keep you under 20 pass attempts.

[00:13:48] We're going to run these guys 40 times because we don't want to make any mistakes.

[00:13:53] Why isn't B. John the new Christian McCaffrey?

[00:13:57] Because you've got to be creative enough offensively and the Falcons simply aren't.

[00:14:02] We have a first-year offensive coordinator, play caller.

[00:14:06] You have a retread coach.

[00:14:08] It's just a lot of people who are operating as if getting fired in the NFL or as a coach, you're still getting paid.

[00:14:20] So if I'm Raheem Morris, dog, you sign me to like a four or five-year deal.

[00:14:25] Let it all hang out.

[00:14:26] Let it.

[00:14:27] Yo, pull your balls out.

[00:14:29] I'm like, fucking let's go.

[00:14:30] Let's do this.

[00:14:30] And it was like, nope.

[00:14:32] We're going to make all these bad moves and try to rationalize and justify because the fans, being a Falcons fan is tough.

[00:14:39] Because there's not a lot of expectation when you're a Falcons fan.

[00:14:44] But it's very clear.

[00:14:46] Like, they put up a stat last night.

[00:14:49] Atlanta is last in quarterback pressures and sacks for the last couple years.

[00:14:57] But yet, the last four years, they take offensive players.

[00:15:00] And then they don't, like I said, they don't deploy them.

[00:15:04] So last night was like, it was clear that there was no confidence in the quarterback.

[00:15:11] And the quarterback had no confidence in himself.

[00:15:16] So going to Pennix, like going to Pennix just lets me know that somebody's going to get, somebody's not going to be in a Falcons organization next year.

[00:15:24] Hopefully.

[00:15:27] I had to change my channel real quick because Memphis just went up 17-0 on West Virginia.

[00:15:33] Ten minutes left in the second quarter.

[00:15:35] So, you know, I had to get up out of there and maybe I can catch some of this NBA Cup.

[00:15:40] I think it's a halftime.

[00:15:42] You know, but yeah.

[00:15:44] So, you know, the Falcons, you know, and they still have a tough road to hoe, if you will.

[00:15:49] You know, Tampa, you know, surmounted them for first place.

[00:15:53] Tampa's winning the division.

[00:15:54] You know, you got Washington on the schedule.

[00:15:58] You know, you got Carolina one more time, I believe.

[00:16:01] Carolina's going to beat them.

[00:16:03] You know, maybe.

[00:16:05] Maybe.

[00:16:05] You know, and so.

[00:16:07] I didn't lose faith to my team.

[00:16:08] And of course, well, you should beat the Giants this week, though.

[00:16:14] I wish that game was here.

[00:16:15] I mean, that would be so Falcon, though.

[00:16:17] You know what I mean?

[00:16:18] Like we talked about this, like when they played the Saints, like, you know, it would be so Falcon to lose the game to the team that just fired their coach.

[00:16:25] It in the problem is there's.

[00:16:32] There seems to be a Super Bowl hangover.

[00:16:38] That's impacting people who had nothing to do with the Super Bowl.

[00:16:42] Very similar to how we talked about Dallas.

[00:16:44] I remember someone talking about this at the beginning of the year.

[00:16:46] One of the one of the pundits.

[00:16:47] But either was last season or beginning of this year.

[00:16:51] But I think he made a very poignant point.

[00:16:52] It was that.

[00:16:53] He thinks that the current Cowboy players.

[00:16:58] Are somewhat carrying a burden.

[00:17:01] Of the playoff failures of like previous Cowboy teams, because that's all that people talk about leading up to the playoffs.

[00:17:11] So it feels like these guys just inadvertently take on this burden.

[00:17:15] And I feel the same with the Falcons, because it looks exactly the same with different coaches, different play callers, different quarterbacks.

[00:17:24] It just seems like last night they almost lost that game.

[00:17:29] You know, if they if Desmond Ritter had any presence as a quarterback in the pocket, he would have beat them.

[00:17:38] But he just it was it was one point into the third quarter before he targeted a wide receiver.

[00:17:44] He has the same problem as Kirk Cousins.

[00:17:46] It's like you're back there because you are the next you're available.

[00:17:50] You're a quarterback.

[00:17:51] But you don't have any confidence in what you're doing.

[00:17:54] And like I'm going to talk about a couple of the guys later, like, you know, how I talked about Jordan Love guys blitzing right up the middle.

[00:18:00] He just dipped his shoulder, kept the ball in, reset his feet, slid up, do a Dr.

[00:18:06] Christian Watson. These guys like certain guys in that position are doing that.

[00:18:11] Desmond Ritter and Kirk Cousins are a prime example of that, but they still almost lost that game.

[00:18:17] So, yeah.

[00:18:18] Welcome to the Falcons, y'all.

[00:18:20] You know what I mean?

[00:18:21] So let's talk about some good teams.

[00:18:25] You know, Buffalo, you know, went into Fort Field the other day and they showed Detroit who was who and what was what.

[00:18:35] Philadelphia had their Pennsylvania Commonwealth brothers come in.

[00:18:40] And championship is Mike Thomas calls it.

[00:18:43] Yeah. And they and they took down the Steelers.

[00:18:46] So what we wanted to talk about tonight is, you know, I guess we'll talk about our Super Bowl matchup potentially.

[00:18:54] And we'll talk about teams that we think can go or win the Super Bowl.

[00:18:59] So as you can see here, I'm on FanDuel right now.

[00:19:03] You know, we got Buffalo leading the club, you know, at plus 450 for Super Bowl odds.

[00:19:09] It's Philly right behind them, Kansas City in front of Detroit, but actually tied with them.

[00:19:15] So the Ravens.

[00:19:16] A hundred dollars you get your if they win, you get your hundred dollars back plus four hundred fifty dollars.

[00:19:21] Yeah.

[00:19:21] And then you got the Ravens and Vikings.

[00:19:24] You know, and then you got Green Bay, Houston, Pittsburgh, so on, so forth.

[00:19:30] So, Mr. Logical, point blank right now.

[00:19:33] How many teams can actually win the Super Bowl this year?

[00:19:42] I have seven teams.

[00:19:46] Seven.

[00:19:47] I got three AFC teams and I got four NFC teams.

[00:19:54] Yeah.

[00:19:55] See that day?

[00:19:56] That's it.

[00:19:57] That's all I got.

[00:19:58] Who are these teams?

[00:20:01] Well, I got Kansas City just because they're 13 and one.

[00:20:04] They seem to be able to just pull magic out of a unicorn's ass anytime they need to.

[00:20:10] I got Buffalo because they have my preseason MVP because he's doing exactly what I said he would need.

[00:20:20] That I thought he would do for them for him to win MVP, which is be everything and everything they need every week.

[00:20:28] Like, hell, one game he threw a pass for a touchdown.

[00:20:32] He rushed it for a touchdown and he caught one technically, I guess, for a touchdown.

[00:20:39] So, him, their Super Bowl, their Superman.

[00:20:44] Baltimore, just because they're dynamic.

[00:20:47] Just because Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, I think they can just, if it starts early and it's flowing early, I think because they're so dynamic, they put so much pressure on the defense.

[00:21:02] Because you got to stay big to tackle Derrick Henry.

[00:21:07] You can't go nickel, you can't run dime all game long to stop Derrick Henry.

[00:21:15] But you're going to want to run dime and nickel to have speed on the field just in case Lamar breaks the pocket.

[00:21:22] So, I think if Baltimore can punch, counterpunch with whomever they're playing up against, they can take advantage of either one of those situations.

[00:21:31] So, if you go, if you're running 3-4-4-3 and you load up to try to stop Derrick Henry and you get Lamar on the edge, now you got three linebackers trying to chase him versus going nickel.

[00:21:44] Where you might have, you might get some of your lighter linebackers in there trying to chase him.

[00:21:49] But very similar to how Dallas plays.

[00:21:52] You're going to have a bunch of 250-pound backers, 40-pound backers in there.

[00:21:56] You're running with guys for hybrid safeties to keep matching up with the speed of Lamar.

[00:22:02] So, I think if they can work that punch, counterpunch appropriately, I think they can make a run.

[00:22:10] NFC, I got four teams, three teams with 12 wins.

[00:22:13] Detroit, Philly, and Minnesota.

[00:22:15] I think 12 wins puts you firmly in the middle of Super Bowl conversation.

[00:22:21] My preseason pick was Kansas City versus Detroit.

[00:22:25] But it wouldn't shock me if a team out of Wisconsin ended up representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.

[00:22:34] I just like what Green Bay is doing.

[00:22:36] They're 10-4.

[00:22:37] And people are like, oh, they got four losses.

[00:22:39] The three 12-win teams are the only teams they lost to.

[00:22:45] So, any NFC championship game, from my estimation, will be some form of a rematch.

[00:22:52] It's either Green Bay playing Philly again, because they played them open at night, or a third game between Minnesota or Detroit.

[00:23:01] However, the rankings and everything stack up in the playoffs, and who ends up where.

[00:23:07] But if they play Detroit or Minnesota again, that'll be a third time.

[00:23:11] So, I figured third time is a toss-up, even if they lost to both ahead of the games.

[00:23:17] And then, like I said, Philly will be a rematch as well.

[00:23:19] And Philly, I like Philly, but Philly's starting to do the thing I don't like about what Philly does.

[00:23:27] Like this us against the world thing.

[00:23:30] Like just kind of out of nowhere.

[00:23:34] Like when they – we talk about A.J. Brown's comments, talking about passing, and then he catches a touchdown.

[00:23:41] And they kind of go out of their way to do the kid-and-play dance in the middle of the field.

[00:23:46] And then Jalen Hurts comes to the press conference.

[00:23:50] Normally a pretty reserved guy.

[00:23:51] And I'm pretty sure he's tired of hearing the noise.

[00:23:54] But he was like, that what y'all want?

[00:23:55] That's what y'all want to see?

[00:23:57] And that's how he started off.

[00:23:59] So, it's like it just feels like I don't know where your focus is at.

[00:24:06] So, I got four in the possible.

[00:24:08] You know what I'm saying?

[00:24:10] So, just right off top, you know, Philadelphia, you know, number one in total defense, number six in total offense.

[00:24:17] Buffalo, you know, they got the MVP favorite, you know, playing out of his mind, especially the last two weeks, both on the road.

[00:24:25] That's the kind of stuff that you're going to need to do because you might have to go to Arrowhead.

[00:24:30] You know, skipping around a little bit, Green Bay, you know, for some of the same reasons that you mentioned.

[00:24:38] We saw Jordan Love stepping up in the playoffs last year.

[00:24:41] He had his moment against San Francisco where he learned you can't throw across your body when Fred Warner is around, you know.

[00:24:49] So, hopefully he can carry that.

[00:24:51] Yeah, hopefully he can carry that into this postseason.

[00:24:54] The Baltimore Ravens, you mentioned how dynamic they are.

[00:24:58] Lamar Jackson, the other probable MVP who they gave the MVP last year when I felt he didn't deserve it.

[00:25:05] He's having a way better year this year.

[00:25:07] Three times the year, but he might not win the MVP this year.

[00:25:11] Figure that out.

[00:25:12] And then lastly, my possible.

[00:25:16] And this is everything has to go right.

[00:25:19] The Rams.

[00:25:21] You know, they got the experience.

[00:25:24] Super Bowl champions two years ago.

[00:25:27] They got the band back together.

[00:25:28] Did you say Kansas City?

[00:25:29] I did not say Kansas City.

[00:25:31] Yeah.

[00:25:32] What up, Mike?

[00:25:33] I thought you didn't.

[00:25:34] I was like.

[00:25:35] One Mike podcast.

[00:25:37] Mondays and Thursdays.

[00:25:38] Y'all get your gems.

[00:25:39] Black on black news.

[00:25:40] No, I know.

[00:25:42] Not Kansas City.

[00:25:43] Because I'm a big believer of.

[00:25:47] You can keep playing with fire until you run out of matches.

[00:25:54] Now.

[00:25:55] So, so when I look at this.

[00:25:57] So, when I look at this, right.

[00:25:58] When I look at Kansas City.

[00:25:59] The two times Patrick Mahomes didn't make the Super Bowl.

[00:26:06] Where'd they lose at?

[00:26:11] Well.

[00:26:12] They lost that arrowhead.

[00:26:13] Both times.

[00:26:14] You know, Joe Burrell came through.

[00:26:17] You know, Tom Brady obviously.

[00:26:18] Dee Ford with the offsides of the century.

[00:26:21] You know.

[00:26:22] You got.

[00:26:22] Very weird losses.

[00:26:24] Because.

[00:26:25] That offside doesn't happen there in that Super Bowl that year.

[00:26:28] And then they had an 18 point lead on Cincinnati.

[00:26:32] Yeah.

[00:26:32] They got to tighten up.

[00:26:33] They do play poorly in the second half this year too.

[00:26:36] So, that doesn't bode well for them as far as history.

[00:26:38] So, there's a part of me that wants to say that Kansas City is doing the Shaq thing.

[00:26:42] Where, you know, the Lakers go through a two or three game.

[00:26:46] Lose a streak in the regular season.

[00:26:47] And he's like.

[00:26:48] When the playoffs come.

[00:26:49] We just going to hit the switch.

[00:26:51] You know.

[00:26:52] And so, so maybe Kansas City thinks they have a switch.

[00:26:55] But they don't.

[00:26:57] You know.

[00:26:58] I think that.

[00:26:59] There's a lack of chemistry on the back.

[00:27:01] There's a lack.

[00:27:01] Yeah.

[00:27:02] Yeah.

[00:27:02] And I think that Snead is a big loss.

[00:27:05] Worthy seems to be in the wrong spot.

[00:27:08] On a lot of his routes.

[00:27:10] Mahomes is throwing the ball with the expectation that Worthy is going to come up.

[00:27:15] Got to flip the switch.

[00:27:17] It goes straight to the sideline.

[00:27:19] Yeah.

[00:27:19] But he does a lot of this.

[00:27:21] And it's like 45 degrees to the sideline.

[00:27:24] He's open.

[00:27:25] He's beat his man.

[00:27:26] And Mahomes is like, listen, I want to get the ball on you so the guy can't come under it.

[00:27:32] But he does this a lot.

[00:27:33] It happened.

[00:27:34] Like, it happened a lot in this last week.

[00:27:35] It was like, so that's why he started throwing the ball behind the line of scrimmage.

[00:27:39] That's why that one pass that I guess they consider a run and not a pass.

[00:27:44] Well, hopefully Mahomes can play this week.

[00:27:47] I know he has the high ankle sprain.

[00:27:49] But they got the Texans coming in.

[00:27:52] You know, in preseason when I was feeling a little overzealous.

[00:27:56] You know, I picked the Texans to go into Arrowhead during the playoffs and end that shit.

[00:28:01] You know, probably not so much now.

[00:28:03] I don't feel that way now.

[00:28:04] But when I look at Kansas City, there's something missing.

[00:28:09] You know, they run the ball effectively when they need to.

[00:28:14] But I don't know if I can trust their running game to control a game if Mahomes doesn't have it going on or if he is a little banged up.

[00:28:23] You know, things along those lines.

[00:28:24] Previous years, like, you know, to talk about some of your current Super Bowl contenders.

[00:28:32] They have an effective power punch on offense that's consistent.

[00:28:40] Buffalo has Josh Allen.

[00:28:44] Baltimore, they have Lamar and Derrick Henry.

[00:28:48] Like when they use them.

[00:28:50] When you use them, it's effective.

[00:28:53] You said the Rams.

[00:28:55] Stafford plays with a different level.

[00:28:57] Stafford's playing a lot like how Kobe played late in his career.

[00:29:01] It was like, I know everything you're going to throw at me.

[00:29:05] And I'm still physically capable of beating it.

[00:29:09] Aaron Rodgers probably knows everything.

[00:29:11] But with the Jets, it's like he can't slide enough to make it happen.

[00:29:17] Right.

[00:29:17] Stafford has an arm talent to make it happen.

[00:29:19] So he can slide.

[00:29:20] He can see it.

[00:29:21] He can see a pre-snap.

[00:29:23] It's nothing you can do that's going to confuse him.

[00:29:24] And the other part of that is the Rams have the fourth leading rusher in the league who just goes under the radar.

[00:29:31] Nobody ever talks about him.

[00:29:33] They don't acknowledge the fact that the Rams have a run game.

[00:29:37] So if I'm saying Detroit, let's say I'm Detroit.

[00:29:43] And let's hypothetically say Philly finishes with the one.

[00:29:49] Detroit finishes with the two.

[00:29:51] And the Rams get the last wild card spot.

[00:29:54] I know what Philly did to them a couple of weeks ago.

[00:29:56] I know what Saquon did to them a few weeks ago.

[00:29:59] But I don't want to see that team once the calendar strikes January.

[00:30:02] We're a new season.

[00:30:03] Forget wild cards.

[00:30:05] Forget having to win to keep pace with the Cardinals or the Seahawks.

[00:30:09] New season experience.

[00:30:11] You don't want to play that team.

[00:30:12] Yep.

[00:30:13] And I was about to bring that up, Mike.

[00:30:14] Montgomery's out for the season for the Lions.

[00:30:17] You know, Aleem McNeil out for the season.

[00:30:19] Carlton Davis out for the season on top of Aiden Hutchinson.

[00:30:23] They lose guys for the season.

[00:30:26] Every game.

[00:30:27] And now we're about to find out, right?

[00:30:30] They lost a guy for a season.

[00:30:32] Every game I watched for the last three weeks.

[00:30:36] Yeah.

[00:30:37] They lost Rodriguez during.

[00:30:40] So, I think they lost a guy Thanksgiving.

[00:30:43] They lost a guy Thanksgiving.

[00:30:45] They lost a guy the week after that.

[00:30:48] And they lost a couple more guys this past week.

[00:30:51] So, they've lost guys for the season.

[00:30:53] Right.

[00:30:54] When they came into the game in Thanksgiving with seven guys on IR.

[00:30:58] Mm-hmm.

[00:30:58] Including guys who are, like, out for the season.

[00:31:00] But they're on IR.

[00:31:01] Yeah.

[00:31:01] So, that's why I didn't have the Lions on my list.

[00:31:03] You know, I just think that that catches up at some point.

[00:31:06] Especially.

[00:31:06] Yeah, it has to.

[00:31:08] Especially defensively.

[00:31:09] You know, because, you know, they'll put up points.

[00:31:11] They're still going to put up points.

[00:31:12] They still got Amin Ra.

[00:31:13] They still got Reggie Bush Jr.

[00:31:16] You know, but now he's going to have to take a bigger load.

[00:31:18] Pause.

[00:31:19] And then, you know, Kalief Raymond is hurt too.

[00:31:23] You know?

[00:31:23] So, like, Detroit is just banged up all over the place.

[00:31:26] So, it's not that I don't trust them.

[00:31:28] I just think that that catches up at some point.

[00:31:31] Minnesota, you know how I feel about Sam Darnold.

[00:31:34] I would like to see Brian Flores get some head coaching interviews this year.

[00:31:38] Some real ones.

[00:31:39] Not the Rooney Rule ones.

[00:31:41] But, you know, but as much as I like the Vikings.

[00:31:44] Because I love Kevin O'Connell.

[00:31:45] You know?

[00:31:46] He's a really good coach that probably doesn't get the credit that he deserves.

[00:31:50] You know?

[00:31:51] But I'm not trusting Sam Darnold to win three must-win games.

[00:31:56] But that's...

[00:31:57] Because...

[00:31:58] That was previous regimes.

[00:32:00] And you can't say definitively that any other...

[00:32:04] There was another position group or coaching group associated with Sam Darnold that you say,

[00:32:10] You know what?

[00:32:11] I think that team put this individual player in the right position.

[00:32:16] Right?

[00:32:17] So, look at Kirk Cousins in Atlanta.

[00:32:20] I was about to bring him up.

[00:32:21] Look at Kirk Cousins in Minnesota.

[00:32:23] I was about to bring him up.

[00:32:24] He was playing MVP level guarantee.

[00:32:28] Hell, that's the reason he got $180 million from Atlanta.

[00:32:31] But as Mike will tell you, all you got to do is turn the sky off and Kirk Cousins will fold.

[00:32:38] You know what I mean?

[00:32:39] Like, Sam...

[00:32:40] But that's where he's been.

[00:32:41] Sam Darnold has been...

[00:32:42] That's what I'm saying.

[00:32:43] Like, so...

[00:32:43] No, I'm responding to your point about previous regimes and...

[00:32:47] Sam Darnold was never successful there.

[00:32:50] That's what I'm saying.

[00:32:50] He was never in the position...

[00:32:52] He ain't going to be successful now either.

[00:32:53] You know what I'm saying?

[00:32:54] And they already talking about him not being on the roster next year.

[00:32:57] That's because somebody going to pay him $135 million for four years?

[00:33:01] No, that's because they drafted this rookie.

[00:33:03] You know what I'm saying?

[00:33:04] The rookie only threw 20-something passes a game in Michigan.

[00:33:07] But what I'm saying, at 12-2, 12-2 making big plays, it's not like they're out there,

[00:33:14] Trent Dilfer, Dinkin and Duncan.

[00:33:16] That game against Atlanta, Justin Jefferson and Addison both had over 175 yards receiving

[00:33:23] and two touchdowns.

[00:33:25] That's partly on the quarterback.

[00:33:27] Minnesota could have it in front of them, though, because, you know, they still play Detroit

[00:33:32] one more time.

[00:33:33] You know, they still play Green Bay one more time.

[00:33:36] Minnesota's not out of this home field advantage race.

[00:33:39] 14-3 is a real likelihood for them.

[00:33:43] And that's a one or a two.

[00:33:49] Yeah, because right now, you know, Philly's got two losses.

[00:33:52] Detroit has two losses.

[00:33:53] But if they beat Detroit head-to-head, we got to have an interesting conversation after that.

[00:33:58] You know, Philly drops in.

[00:33:59] But Philly, you know, they have their three division games, you know, including, you know,

[00:34:04] at Landover, not Washington, D.C. this weekend.

[00:34:08] Okay, so you got five teams.

[00:34:12] Yeah, I got five.

[00:34:14] I have seven.

[00:34:15] So you have – you don't have Minnesota, correct?

[00:34:19] I don't have Minnesota, no.

[00:34:21] And you don't have –

[00:34:22] I don't have Kansas City.

[00:34:23] No, I have Baltimore.

[00:34:25] I have Baltimore.

[00:34:26] You don't have Kansas City.

[00:34:27] And I don't have Detroit.

[00:34:29] So between the two of us, we got nine total teams?

[00:34:32] Yeah.

[00:34:33] So I got – yeah, because I got Buffalo, Philly, Baltimore, Green Bay, and the Rams.

[00:34:40] Rams.

[00:34:41] Okay.

[00:34:41] And I got – so you got Rams.

[00:34:43] I got KC and Minnesota.

[00:34:47] He is.

[00:34:48] He's going to run for his life too.

[00:34:49] Perfect.

[00:34:51] Outside of the teams that we have, who do you think is the most likely surprise?

[00:34:58] I know it's kind of like an oxymoron.

[00:34:59] All right, don't laugh when I say this.

[00:35:01] Don't laugh when I say this.

[00:35:06] I can't even get it out myself.

[00:35:08] The Chargers, man, because, you know, like I said last episode or maybe previous episode to that, the Chargers are one of those teams that usually you only hear this in basketball, but people will say they're built for the playoffs.

[00:35:23] You know, the Chargers stylistically are built for the playoffs.

[00:35:28] Run the ball, tough defense, quarterback that doesn't turn the ball over.

[00:35:32] But the difference between him and somebody like a Tannehill is that Herbert can throw you back into a game if necessary.

[00:35:41] Yeah, but do they have the playmakers at the skill positions?

[00:35:45] Oh, they got the rookie, baby.

[00:35:48] They got the rookie, baby.

[00:35:51] McCocky?

[00:35:52] Yes.

[00:35:53] Yes.

[00:35:54] Ask my fantasy football team about them.

[00:35:57] You know, but – so when I look at Pittsburgh, I'm going to do process of elimination.

[00:36:02] Real quick.

[00:36:03] When I look at a team like Pittsburgh, this game against Philly this past weekend is what I fear for the Steelers, is that they're going to get into a game with a team with a defense as good as them, and they're not going to be able to just go up and down the field or make plays.

[00:36:19] Philly – the Steelers only had the ball twice in the second half.

[00:36:24] I know.

[00:36:25] And Philly had, what, like a 13-minute drive or something like that?

[00:36:28] They deliberately ran the ball.

[00:36:31] And eventually you wear it down.

[00:36:32] There's only so many guys you could put in rotation.

[00:36:35] Yeah, I talked about Kansas City already.

[00:36:38] You know, quiet is kept.

[00:36:41] I know Houston's offense has been stolen, but they're still fourth in defense.

[00:36:46] So, you know, all you need is C.J. Stroud to have a game, you know, and –

[00:36:51] Throw down on the list real quick.

[00:36:52] I want to see where my – outside of – keep going.

[00:37:07] I don't have one.

[00:37:08] Yeah, so Denver –

[00:37:10] I know this is like, you know, pretty much 25% of the league out of this –

[00:37:15] Right.

[00:37:16] Seven teams.

[00:37:17] I think your Super Bowl winner is one of these seven teams.

[00:37:20] Yeah, Denver is hard for me to see, and I know he's been playing well besides the other day,

[00:37:25] but it's hard for me to trust a rookie quarterback, you know.

[00:37:29] Yeah, I don't think a rookie quarterback has never made it to the Super Bowl.

[00:37:32] You know, just – and that's the same thing with Jaden Daniels.

[00:37:34] As much as I love him, like, it's just hard for me to trust rookies to do the Eli thing, you know,

[00:37:41] because right now they're both the last seed, you know.

[00:37:44] Then you got Minnesota I already talked about.

[00:37:49] Seattle's not getting in.

[00:37:51] Geno Smith is banged up now as well.

[00:37:53] So, yeah, I mean –

[00:37:55] I like Pittsburgh if –

[00:38:00] I would like Pittsburgh if they had a more consistent first down passing connection.

[00:38:13] Like, the way Kansas City previous years –

[00:38:17] Kansas City, Mahomes and Kelsey third down, it kept drives alive.

[00:38:22] Right.

[00:38:23] I like that aspect of a team.

[00:38:26] I think that's –

[00:38:26] I think third down conversion rate is vital

[00:38:29] because it doesn't put you in a position where –

[00:38:31] like Detroit.

[00:38:32] Detroit going forward on fourth down as much as they are,

[00:38:35] it kind of sends a couple of signals.

[00:38:37] Either I'm confident in my offense or I don't trust my defense,

[00:38:42] whatever the case may be.

[00:38:44] I just feel like if Pittsburgh –

[00:38:46] if Friermuth and Wilson had that third and eight,

[00:38:51] third and seven, third and eight, third and nine connection

[00:38:53] where they can keep moving the ball

[00:38:55] and they can then effectively run it,

[00:38:58] I would trust it because I think Russell's going to make the right decisions.

[00:39:01] The problem is you get a game like Philly where you get one turnover

[00:39:07] and now the other team's kind of just running the ball.

[00:39:09] Especially when you get a team in the playoffs,

[00:39:11] you're going to get a better team.

[00:39:12] Right.

[00:39:13] You're going to get a team that exploits whatever weakness you put on film

[00:39:16] for the 17 games prior to the game they play you in January.

[00:39:21] Right.

[00:39:21] So, that's my thing with Pittsburgh is like,

[00:39:23] I don't know if they have like the connections that you need

[00:39:25] to just overcome another team's talent.

[00:39:31] Yeah.

[00:39:32] So, Kansas City clenches home field with a win and a Buffalo loss.

[00:39:38] Pittsburgh clenches the AFC North with a win on Saturday against Baltimore.

[00:39:44] You know, so obviously Baltimore needs some, you know,

[00:39:47] they need to beat Pittsburgh and get some more help.

[00:39:50] You know, but they do clinch a playoff berth with a win this weekend.

[00:39:55] And if they do lose, you know, if Miami and Indianapolis lose,

[00:39:59] the Ravens are in.

[00:40:01] You know, because of course the Dolphins and Colts

[00:40:03] are hanging on by a thread right now.

[00:40:06] Denver.

[00:40:07] I think the 14 teams are set on both sides of the ball.

[00:40:09] So, both sides, both conferences, I think the 14 teams are set.

[00:40:14] Denver is in with a win on Thursday night.

[00:40:17] We'll talk about that here in a quick second.

[00:40:19] And then if they do lose, they can clinch with a Miami, Cincinnati,

[00:40:24] and Indianapolis.

[00:40:26] So, they would need all three of those teams to lose to clinch on Sunday

[00:40:29] or this week.

[00:40:30] And then the Chargers, same scenario.

[00:40:32] They need to win plus a Miami and Indianapolis loss or all three of those teams lose.

[00:40:40] You know, in the NFC, Green Bay is in with a win.

[00:40:44] You know, if they don't win, Atlanta plus the Rams losing or Atlanta plus Seattle losing.

[00:40:50] And then Washington, they're in with a win plus a Falcon and Ram loss.

[00:40:56] A win and a Falcon and Seahawk loss.

[00:41:00] And then the other one's too long.

[00:41:02] I ain't reading all that.

[00:41:03] What up, Cups?

[00:41:05] You know what I'm saying?

[00:41:06] You know, so Cups and the gang, Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, 7 o'clock, Eastern.

[00:41:13] You know, so yeah, like, so I think that those, the teams that we named,

[00:41:18] I don't necessarily see an outside team.

[00:41:21] I just think that the Chargers could be a factor just based on style of play more.

[00:41:28] But the problem that I have with them.

[00:41:30] I don't like their playmakers on the outside.

[00:41:32] I don't like their secondary is what I don't like.

[00:41:35] If you need a catch, I don't think they have.

[00:41:38] I don't think they have the playmaking ensemble.

[00:41:41] But see, but this is the thing.

[00:41:42] What would become normal circumstances that you would encounter in a playoff game?

[00:41:47] Yes, and.

[00:41:49] There we go.

[00:41:51] Yes, and if I'm playing Pittsburgh, I might not need that.

[00:41:56] Because I can shut them down and win a 9-6 game.

[00:41:59] If I'm playing Houston, their offense ain't doing anything right now.

[00:42:03] If I'm playing Denver, we already beat them and I can shut them down.

[00:42:07] You know, Buffalo, as long as Josh Allen ain't Superman,

[00:42:10] we got a chance, Kansas City.

[00:42:12] We played y'all to the wire twice.

[00:42:15] And, yes, and you're, if you're a Chargers fan and you're banking on that,

[00:42:20] that's not something that occurred a lot throughout this year.

[00:42:24] Teams holding any of these AFC, because the basic, those are all division leaders.

[00:42:31] Right.

[00:42:32] They haven't really done that.

[00:42:33] With the Chargers and, like, something I talked about for weeks.

[00:42:40] I like Justin Herbert.

[00:42:42] Herbert, I just don't believe that he's a backpack guy.

[00:42:49] I just don't believe that he, what Mahomes does for Kansas City,

[00:42:56] Herbert should be able to do for Los Angeles.

[00:43:00] And it doesn't seem to happen as often.

[00:43:02] Maybe because Kansas City kind of keeps putting themselves in this position,

[00:43:05] and it just seems like it's just part of what they do now.

[00:43:09] Because I looked at, when I watched Kansas City games, it's like,

[00:43:12] it doesn't feel like Mahomes tries to run or scramble for a first down,

[00:43:16] unless it's third down.

[00:43:18] And it just so happens it's third down in the second half.

[00:43:20] He's definitely doing it.

[00:43:22] But with the Chargers, I like what you're saying.

[00:43:26] I think that they are built to beat different teams throughout the week,

[00:43:32] throughout the seasons.

[00:43:34] But when it comes to the playoffs, I don't know if they have a different gear.

[00:43:42] Like a different gear, yes.

[00:43:43] Yes, and don't forget, 14 regular season games,

[00:43:48] they've only given up 20 in four of those games.

[00:43:52] So, like I said, run the ball.

[00:43:55] Don't make mistakes, which Herbert hasn't been doing for the most part this season.

[00:44:01] Get off the field.

[00:44:03] Give your offense more opportunities.

[00:44:05] The Tim Tebow game plan.

[00:44:06] Play good enough defense to keep your offense on the field

[00:44:10] to have more opportunity to get points.

[00:44:13] But, you know, but speaking of which, real quick, you know,

[00:44:18] Thursday night, the Broncos are going into L.A.

[00:44:23] What say you?

[00:44:29] I don't talk to all that junk about the Chargers.

[00:44:33] I mean, that home games don't really feel like home games.

[00:44:36] I think the luster of the rookie, potential rookie of the year quarterback.

[00:44:45] I'm going to go ahead and give it to Harbaugh.

[00:44:49] Pick the ballot of the coaches.

[00:44:50] I'm going to take the Chargers.

[00:44:51] Yeah, I'm going Chargers as well.

[00:44:53] I think it's going to be a low-scoring game, something along the lines of 20-17,

[00:44:58] which will be a feather in the Chargers cap because they beat Denver the first time

[00:45:02] that they played.

[00:45:03] So that would give them the season sweep.

[00:45:05] You know, and, you know, that'll help as far as playoff matchup.

[00:45:09] You know, would you rather play at Buffalo or would you rather play at Pittsburgh?

[00:45:15] I mean, I guess I would say neither for real.

[00:45:19] But if I had to choose one, I'm going to probably deal with the Air Force Ones

[00:45:24] that I feel that I can hold to 20 or less versus the team with the dynamic quarterback

[00:45:32] that can literally put the team on his back and run me out the stadium.

[00:45:38] So we'll see.

[00:45:40] You know what I'm saying?

[00:45:40] Denver, I don't think, want to play either one of them.

[00:45:42] But, you know, it is what it is.

[00:45:45] But, you know, so yeah.

[00:45:46] So then, of course, before we get out of here, you know,

[00:45:50] we got the college football playoffs starting on Friday night in South Bend, Indiana,

[00:45:56] where the Hoosiers will play the Irish for the first time since 1991.

[00:46:03] You know what I'm saying?

[00:46:04] And don't forget, you know, and I know, I don't know why I love these stats

[00:46:09] because it doesn't really matter because none of these dudes played on those teams.

[00:46:14] But Indiana all time is 113-1 in South Bend.

[00:46:19] So, you know, I don't know if that means anything or not,

[00:46:22] but it sounds like we may get a little bit of the elements in this game.

[00:46:26] Might be some snow going on.

[00:46:28] Yeah, it's something like 25 degrees with these games.

[00:46:32] These games started in this region, the northeast, like the Midwest, Ohio, Indiana.

[00:46:40] Like the games in this region, supposed to be like 25,

[00:46:44] and I think the game out west is like 60-something.

[00:46:48] Yeah.

[00:46:49] And, you know, so here we go.

[00:46:51] You know, the winner of this game between Indiana and Notre Dame will play the Georgia Bulldogs.

[00:46:59] What's Carson Beck's status?

[00:47:01] Is he out?

[00:47:01] We don't know.

[00:47:02] We still waiting to hear.

[00:47:04] Nope.

[00:47:05] No announcement yet.

[00:47:06] I know that they said that, yeah, the team on his back, man, he into that.

[00:47:10] They said that Carson Beck was his parents or whoever were trying to get a second opinion, you know, for the UCL or whatever.

[00:47:20] So they still got time to rest.

[00:47:22] So, you know, we'll see.

[00:47:24] The only time I ever heard is UCL injury is when Brock Purdy got it.

[00:47:29] And he was done.

[00:47:30] In 2023, and he was out for six or seven months.

[00:47:34] Right.

[00:47:35] So that was quicker than they projected.

[00:47:38] So are you giving the Hoosiers a chance?

[00:47:44] I'm giving them a chance just because, like I said, they're playing with house money.

[00:47:50] Their coach is the ultimate confident competitor.

[00:47:57] Notre Dame being in this position.

[00:48:00] We've seen them in the college football playoff.

[00:48:03] Fact.

[00:48:04] They didn't do well.

[00:48:08] So I'm giving Indiana a shot.

[00:48:10] And I'm also kind of giving Indiana a shot because I want new blood to be kind of, you know, propelled into the conversation as far as, like, deserving and worthy, things of that nature.

[00:48:22] I think if Notre Dame wins, it's just par for the course.

[00:48:25] I want a little controversy.

[00:48:27] I want a double-digit seed.

[00:48:31] Double Ds?

[00:48:32] I like that.

[00:48:33] Yeah, that too.

[00:48:34] Pause.

[00:48:35] Unpause.

[00:48:36] I love that.

[00:48:39] Yeah.

[00:48:39] So, like, I want to see that.

[00:48:42] And I think Indiana, their defensive front's solid.

[00:48:46] I know their quarterback has been mentioned as a potential one of the NFL-ready quarterbacks in the college football playoff.

[00:48:53] I like them.

[00:48:54] But speaking of which, did you hear what he said today?

[00:48:57] No, I didn't.

[00:48:58] They were talking to him about Friday night possibly being his last college football game.

[00:49:03] And he said, nah, my last college football game is after the fourth game.

[00:49:10] That's what I'm saying.

[00:49:11] Man, that confidence is kind of just matriculating to the players and people believe in it.

[00:49:17] And we saw how Notre Dame reacted.

[00:49:19] Granted, only lost Northern Illinois.

[00:49:20] It was a weird loss at home, 16-14.

[00:49:24] So, it wasn't like Northern Illinois was on fire and just couldn't win in a shootout.

[00:49:29] It was like you got – you kind of, like, succumbed to, like, the pressure of this other team.

[00:49:35] It was 16-14.

[00:49:36] And I believe it was, like, a 56-yard field goal.

[00:49:39] Yeah, it was a long field goal.

[00:49:41] Yeah.

[00:49:43] But, yeah, I like Indiana in this game.

[00:49:46] Okay.

[00:49:47] Just as a coin flip, you know, just strategy-wise, like I said, I like the confidence.

[00:49:54] Then we lost to Ohio State.

[00:49:56] They won 11 games.

[00:49:57] I get it.

[00:49:58] We can go through the Venn diagram of who played who, who played what, where, and get the white boards out and draw everything out.

[00:50:04] But –

[00:50:04] Transitive property.

[00:50:05] They won 11 games.

[00:50:08] Well, you know, I keep hearing people compare.

[00:50:11] You know, that's what they're bringing up is we saw Indiana go up against a real team when they went to Columbus.

[00:50:16] And as I always say time after time, it was 7-7 in the second quarter until the punter dropped that snap, gave Ohio State first and goal at the 7.

[00:50:25] Game over.

[00:50:26] Right then and there.

[00:50:27] Yep.

[00:50:28] Momentum was gone.

[00:50:29] You know, but I think that this game is closer to the Indiana-Michigan game where Michigan got out – or Indiana got out of there with a 20-15 win.

[00:50:40] Everybody gave them crap because you're supposed to beat Michigan by more than that.

[00:50:44] Ask Ohio State about it.

[00:50:46] So, you know, Notre Dame has the number three pass defense in the nation, which might not matter depending on the weather in this game.

[00:50:52] But it does matter because all this talk about Indiana's week schedule, Notre Dame's the number three pass defense playing stalwarts like Navy, Army, Northern Illinois, Texas A&M.

[00:51:08] There's a whole lot of teams on this schedule that don't pass the ball.

[00:51:12] When they did play teams that could pass the ball.

[00:51:15] When they played Louisville.

[00:51:16] They won, but Louisville put up some points.

[00:51:19] USC put up 35 on them with their backup quarterback.

[00:51:23] So, I don't know if Notre Dame's secondary is as good as advertised.

[00:51:26] Now, what Notre Dame does have is they have Riley Leonard, who's been running the ball all down everybody's throat all season.

[00:51:35] They got my guy, Jeremiah Love, you know, one of the running backs that I love in college football this year.

[00:51:41] You know, 949 yards, but he's questionable.

[00:51:44] It sounds like I think he's going to play though.

[00:51:46] It's the playoff.

[00:51:47] You're not sitting at this game.

[00:51:48] Yeah, you're not sitting at.

[00:51:49] And the other reason why I don't want to compare this to the Ohio State game.

[00:51:52] is because outside of running plays and Raleigh Leonard getting loose, Notre Dame doesn't have the explosiveness that Ohio State had.

[00:52:02] There's no Jeremiah Smith.

[00:52:03] You know, there's no Emeka Buka.

[00:52:06] You know, so on and so forth.

[00:52:08] So, you know, when I look at this game, it's going to come down to Aiden Fisher on Indiana's defense.

[00:52:16] And it's because Indiana all throughout the season against the week schedule only gave up two and a half yards per carry.

[00:52:25] So I think this is going to be a low scoring game.

[00:52:29] You know, Indiana is going to need turnovers, which is a good thing because they rank fifth nationally.

[00:52:33] Their turnover margin plus 15.

[00:52:38] They don't need to get five turnovers.

[00:52:41] You know, if they could if they could force three timely ones.

[00:52:44] Yes, two or three timely ones, maybe in the red zone even.

[00:52:47] But I'm gonna go with Notre Dame in a nail biter.

[00:52:51] I'm gonna call it 27 to 24 or something along those lines.

[00:52:55] You know, and then, you know, saying let's go late night for a second just because of the order of my notes.

[00:53:01] You know, said we got Ohio State in Tennessee planning the game that's going to piss Oregon off because they got to play the winner of it.

[00:53:11] You know, it is in Columbus.

[00:53:12] It is at nighttime.

[00:53:13] And I will say I do think that the weather thing is a little bit overplayed.

[00:53:19] Like a lot of people are running with the Tennessee.

[00:53:22] How are they going to react to cold weather?

[00:53:24] It gets pretty damn cold in Tennessee, too.

[00:53:26] Yeah, it's not that far from Ohio.

[00:53:28] Literally, right.

[00:53:28] One state south.

[00:53:30] Now, now people like me for years have been clamoring and, you know, lamenting that I want these SEC teams to go north.

[00:53:40] Had nothing to do with weather per se.

[00:53:42] It's just the fact that all these bowl games are in the south.

[00:53:47] You know, even Georgia.

[00:53:48] Well, even Georgia, right?

[00:53:50] Like we just talked about how Notre Dame and Indiana plays Georgia.

[00:53:53] The winner plays Georgia.

[00:53:55] That game is at the Sugar Bowl.

[00:53:58] Down in New Orleans.

[00:53:59] Down in the dome.

[00:54:01] You know what I mean?

[00:54:01] So I'm loving the fact that Tennessee has to go north, you know.

[00:54:07] But I think that Tennessee has a chance to win this game because, one, what the hell is Ohio State's psyche at this point?

[00:54:14] All they've heard for the last two weeks is your coach is gone if he loses.

[00:54:19] You know, your coach been probably dying his beard more than he's been actually drawing up plays.

[00:54:25] You know, you've got James Pierce.

[00:54:28] Tennessee's got James Pierce coming in, who I think is going to be a top ten draft pick, you know, in the spring.

[00:54:35] So he's going to wreak havoc all over Ohio State's beat-up offensive line.

[00:54:39] Center out, left tackle out.

[00:54:42] Bad recipe when you're playing against Tennessee.

[00:54:44] The difference between Tennessee and Michigan is that Michigan has the other parts of the front seven that'll give you trouble.

[00:54:53] Tennessee is just the defensive line.

[00:54:55] So if you can hold them at bay somewhat, Ohio State will have time to get the ball to Abuka and Smith because Tennessee's secondary is the weakness of the team.

[00:55:07] But then on the other side of the ball, Ohio State has to deal with Dylan Sampson.

[00:55:11] 1,483 yards, 22 touchdowns.

[00:55:14] Another guy that probably should have been in the Heisman conversation.

[00:55:18] But since we said the name Nico so much, he couldn't get in the conversation.

[00:55:23] Yeah.

[00:55:24] You know, so as I look at this, Dante Thornton, this was the wildest thing I saw, right, when I was looking at this because I was like,

[00:55:33] he averages 26 yards of reception?

[00:55:36] And Tennessee ain't undefeated?

[00:55:38] And then I was like, oh, only 25 catches, though.

[00:55:44] You got to throw him the ball more.

[00:55:45] So Ohio State on the season, you know, they give up 97 yards per game on the ground.

[00:55:51] They lead the nation only giving up 10.9 points.

[00:55:54] So give me the under in this game.

[00:55:57] Give me the under.

[00:55:58] And I'm going to take Ohio State 24-17.

[00:56:02] I want to take Ohio State.

[00:56:09] But just watching Will Howard, the last game against Michigan, felt like he had happy feet in the pocket.

[00:56:17] He wasn't getting the ball downfield.

[00:56:19] It felt a lot like how Kirk Cousins looked last night in Las Vegas.

[00:56:25] It's like you have talent on the outside.

[00:56:30] Those guys were open.

[00:56:32] And Houston pulled a trigger because the game, as every moment, every minute ticked down.

[00:56:39] First half went by.

[00:56:40] Now you're in the second half.

[00:56:42] The game is still 10-10.

[00:56:44] It's tight.

[00:56:45] Michigan's playing loose.

[00:56:48] They're running the ball effectively.

[00:56:50] It felt like a lot of times when he was given opportunities to make throws and make plays,

[00:56:54] he just wasn't doing it.

[00:56:57] But so I think the stink of losing to Michigan the last time he was on that field, losing to Oregon.

[00:57:07] I think they lost to Oregon.

[00:57:09] Did they lose at home to Oregon?

[00:57:10] It was at Oregon, yeah.

[00:57:11] At Oregon, okay.

[00:57:12] So I think losing at home to Michigan, the aftermath, the conversation, like you said, surrounding Ryan Day, the transfers.

[00:57:24] I just feel like Tennessee, there's no expectation on Tennessee to beat Ohio State.

[00:57:30] Their coach's job isn't on the line.

[00:57:33] Guys are going to transfer or not, but I think with Ohio State, they're going to lose players in ways if they were to lose this game.

[00:57:44] So you remember?

[00:57:45] I think that pressure is weighing on guys.

[00:57:47] I think you're going to get a couple like silly face mask penalties.

[00:57:53] You're going to get some silly unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

[00:57:56] You're going to get a couple of things on Ohio State that are indicative of a team that's playing with a different level of pressure.

[00:58:04] So you remember earlier I said something along the lines of, hey, here's a stat, but none of these players necessarily played in these games.

[00:58:12] Well, here's another one for you.

[00:58:14] Ohio State, and I know this is not a bowl game technically.

[00:58:17] It's a playoff game, but the point still remains.

[00:58:20] Ohio State is 1-13 in postseason games against the SEC all time.

[00:58:28] And then if you flip it back, Ryan Day, of course, lost the national title game to Bama.

[00:58:34] They lost to Missouri last year, even though Kyle McCord was gone.

[00:58:40] He went into the portal and everything.

[00:58:42] They lost to Georgia.

[00:58:45] Well, I'm just talking about Ryan Day.

[00:58:47] You know, they lost to Georgia on that last second field goal.

[00:58:51] And where was that game?

[00:58:52] It was in the compressor down in Atlanta.

[00:58:55] It was a neutral site game, apparently.

[00:58:59] But yeah, I like Ohio State provided that their heads are in the right place, which we won't know until they step on the field.

[00:59:06] Yeah.

[00:59:07] You know, then you come down here for the warmest game of the weekend.

[00:59:12] 60 degrees up in Austin, Texas, they say.

[00:59:15] The Clemson Tigers are coming through, you know.

[00:59:19] And the reason that I like this game is because all the old cliches exist, right?

[00:59:26] Texas made it to the playoff last year and got done up by Michael Penix.

[00:59:31] They got a nasty taste in their mouth.

[00:59:33] Pause from what Georgia did to them twice this year.

[00:59:37] You know, you got Clemson coming in.

[00:59:39] Throw the records out.

[00:59:40] They're 0-0 now.

[00:59:42] This is the second season.

[00:59:44] And Dabo even took a dude in the transfer portal this week, you know.

[00:59:48] But the one thing I will say about this game, you know South Carolina sitting at home pissed.

[00:59:54] They're like, yo, we just beat Clemson two weeks ago on their field.

[00:59:59] And we wish we had the SEC schedule that Texas got away with.

[01:00:04] And that's my problem with Texas because, you know, you look at Texas and it's the same thing.

[01:00:09] They only give up 12.5 points per game.

[01:00:12] Clemson puts up 33.5, but back to Texas.

[01:00:16] You know, they only gave up the 30 to Georgia, you know, the first time that they played.

[01:00:22] But also, all around the media, all around Texas, you know, all I've been hearing all week is, is it time to go to Arch?

[01:00:32] Quinn Ewers is about to transfer and potentially go to North Carolina, potentially go back to Ohio State.

[01:00:39] So I don't know what the distraction level is.

[01:00:41] You know, I also know that Dabo Sweeney, as much as I despise him, he don't fuck around in the playoffs.

[01:00:49] He's a big game coach.

[01:00:51] He's a big game coach, 9-1 in the ACC title game.

[01:00:55] Ask Nick Saban about Dabo in big games.

[01:00:58] So, you know, the problem for Clemson, though, is that out of the 18 ACC teams, they were 14th against the run.

[01:01:10] You know, and the way that you stop Texas is to make Quinn Ewers have to make quick, fast decisions.

[01:01:17] And you can only do that if you can slow the run game down.

[01:01:21] So I do expect Texas to put up points.

[01:01:25] But I also expect Texas to fold because they don't have very much experience beating good teams this year.

[01:01:33] So I'm going to take Clemson in the upset, 27-20.

[01:01:41] I like that pick.

[01:01:43] K.A. Club Nick faced off against Quinn Ewers in a high school state championship.

[01:01:50] And K.A. Club Nick scene one because Quinn Ewers threw a couple of bad interceptions.

[01:01:59] Yeah.

[01:01:59] I think the conversation about him transferring.

[01:02:02] I think the conversation about his draft position.

[01:02:06] I think the conversation around the lack of strength in their schedule.

[01:02:10] I think it's all going to come to head.

[01:02:13] I think having Arch Manning there.

[01:02:15] I know Sark went to Arch in the Georgia game because he needed a spark.

[01:02:20] We argued about it.

[01:02:22] We argued about it because, like I said, I don't think it's such a good precedent.

[01:02:26] Put a package in.

[01:02:28] Which looks like they did, you know.

[01:02:30] I think every backup quarterback that has, you know, if you have a backup, like very similar to, I'll go back to Mike Vick.

[01:02:37] We had Chris Chandler as a starting quarterback.

[01:02:39] Mike Vick was a young talent.

[01:02:41] Put a package in for him.

[01:02:44] Put a package into where you can get this dynamic talent on the field for three or four plays a game.

[01:02:50] See what he can do.

[01:02:53] But I think the linger, like the losses to Georgia and this narrative that you can't beat a tough team.

[01:03:02] Clemson is a, like I said, you said dabble 9-1 in the ACC championship game.

[01:03:06] That means he's been there 10 times.

[01:03:09] That's a lot.

[01:03:10] That's a lot of experience for a coach.

[01:03:12] That's a lot of experience that they bring to these guys.

[01:03:14] And he has a bunch of Clemson guys.

[01:03:17] Doesn't have a lot of transfers.

[01:03:18] So he has a lot of guys that bought into his program.

[01:03:22] Whereas, like I said, Texas, their starting quarterback is rumored to be leaving in the transfer quarter.

[01:03:28] So give me Clemson.

[01:03:31] 27-20 seems reasonable.

[01:03:32] I'll go 31-24, something like that.

[01:03:35] 31-27.

[01:03:37] But like I said.

[01:03:38] Okay.

[01:03:39] Yeah, I've been seeing, actually, you know, so I'll let you start off Penn State and SMU while I do something real quick.

[01:03:46] But the winner of that Clemson-Texas game, as you can see, gets the Sun Devils in Georgia down in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

[01:03:54] So whoever wins that game is going to have home field advantage, basically, over the team that had the bye.

[01:04:01] Clemson will have a substantial home field advantage.

[01:04:04] Even their travel won't be long.

[01:04:06] So everything will be quick for them.

[01:04:08] Penn State, SMU.

[01:04:10] The winner gets Boise.

[01:04:12] All right, I've already picked two upsets.

[01:04:16] Well, I think I picked all three because I picked Tennessee as well.

[01:04:20] I'll go chalk on this one.

[01:04:22] I think it's a toss-up.

[01:04:23] I like the fact that the college football committee, college football playoff committee, kept SMU in because, like I said, they lost two games by a total of six points.

[01:04:33] And they were tied going into, you know, the final minute of each one of these games.

[01:04:41] I just think Penn State just will have too much.

[01:04:44] I think defensively they have a, you know, potential top guy off the edge.

[01:04:49] A lot like Micah Parsons wears the same number.

[01:04:53] I think Drew Aller saying that he's coming back next year.

[01:04:57] I think that kind of calms some things.

[01:04:58] Like I said, they did lose their backup quarterback.

[01:05:00] They had some packages for him.

[01:05:02] But I imagine that any of those running quarterback packages, if you want to call that play, you can just snap it directly to a running back and get the same impact if you want to allow off the field.

[01:05:15] Or even another guy that can potentially throw the ball.

[01:05:18] So I think James, frankly, if he's smart, he'll adjust.

[01:05:22] But yeah, give me Penn State.

[01:05:24] Like I said, I think these games are going to be nail biters.

[01:05:27] I can't foresee any real blowouts.

[01:05:32] So if I had to choose one that has blowout potential, you know, I would say it could be Notre Dame and Indiana.

[01:05:40] Just going back to, you know, the whole they got a lot of James Madison players that are going up against a super talented team.

[01:05:50] So there's the potential there.

[01:05:52] You know, if Texas comes to play and their defense is for real, you know, they could blow out Clemson, you know, if it all comes together.

[01:06:01] But I just don't think it will.

[01:06:03] But yeah, I got SMU actually, you know, and this is another one of those conversations where people are saying it's going to be 25 degrees.

[01:06:12] What is SMU going to do?

[01:06:14] Dallas gets snow.

[01:06:16] Cut it out.

[01:06:16] First of all, you know what I'm saying?

[01:06:18] That's first of all.

[01:06:20] Yeah.

[01:06:21] You know, Kevin Jennings is.

[01:06:25] How can I word this?

[01:06:27] He's the energizer bunny, if you will.

[01:06:29] You know, when SMU looks like they're in trouble, he pulls the rabbit out his hat.

[01:06:35] We saw it against Clemson in the ACC championship game when they fell behind.

[01:06:39] Brought him all the way back, tied the game, and then gave up a big kickoff return that set up a game winning field goal.

[01:06:47] So when you look at who SMU lost to, like you said, two losses by six points.

[01:06:52] One of them was to two lost BYU, who probably had a great argument to be in this playoff if they played in a different conference than the Big 12.

[01:07:01] Yeah.

[01:07:02] You know what I mean?

[01:07:03] And then.

[01:07:04] Two lost BYU in the Big 12 championship.

[01:07:07] I think they're in.

[01:07:08] Yeah, they probably would have been in.

[01:07:10] And I had talked about them.

[01:07:12] Random hot streak in the history of sports.

[01:07:15] Like literally the hottest of hot streaks ever.

[01:07:18] Right.

[01:07:19] And that's the problem.

[01:07:20] Yeah.

[01:07:21] And that's the problem with the SEC.

[01:07:23] Teams like Texas get to say, look at who I lost to because these teams were overinflated, whereas BYU any loss is going to be looked at as a disappointment.

[01:07:34] Same thing with SMU.

[01:07:35] You lost to a Big 12 team.

[01:07:37] How good can you be?

[01:07:39] You lost to this 3-4 loss Clemson team.

[01:07:42] How good can you be?

[01:07:44] Especially when we saw what Georgia did to Clemson to start the season.

[01:07:48] But Penn State, you know, Abdul Carter is going to have to take over this game on the defensive line.

[01:07:53] Another top NFL draft pick.

[01:07:55] You know, but there is that nasty little thing about James Franklin in big games.

[01:08:01] And the Penn State defense was what I thought we could lay our hat down on and say, this is going to be the best unit in this game.

[01:08:11] But then I just saw them give up 45 to Oregon.

[01:08:14] You know, so, like, look.

[01:08:17] I like Andrew Kodanicki.

[01:08:19] He was almost the West Virginia head coach, but he didn't want to leave from what I heard.

[01:08:25] You know, I think that he's going to come up with a good game plan.

[01:08:28] And I think SMU is just going to make an extra play or two.

[01:08:31] And I think this is going to be a 38 to 35 win for SMU.

[01:08:36] And as we look here, since we did it for the NFL real quick before we get out of here, I wanted to pull up the college odds as well because I know Mr. Logic was into that kind of thing.

[01:08:46] So, as you can see, Oregon, it's scary.

[01:08:51] Plus 325 is your favorite.

[01:08:53] And the reason that I say it's scary is because I don't know.

[01:08:57] I never really thought about this before until this season.

[01:09:03] It's so hard to go undefeated.

[01:09:06] You know, so, like, it almost might behoove you to take the loss, know what that feels like, and now you get into these one-and-done situations and you're fighting and scrapping for your season.

[01:09:21] Like, it's going to be tough.

[01:09:23] Like, just not even because of any team that they're going to play, but just themselves maintaining the standard that they've kept all year.

[01:09:32] Yeah, a loss will make you, like, I, you know, paraphrasing to Greg Popovich, like, sometimes winning that game on the last second shot, you kind of forget how we get in this position to be where we need a last second shot to win.

[01:09:48] You don't do a lot of evaluation of how you got in the position where you could potentially lose when you win.

[01:09:55] You just evaluate the things that you did down the stretch to help you win.

[01:09:59] And you'll go, like, oh, you got to steal here.

[01:10:02] Like, so with football, you're like, oh, we got the key stop here.

[01:10:05] We got the punt block here.

[01:10:07] But then you look at, okay, well, those three first half drives when we went three and out.

[01:10:13] Or the time we couldn't get the play in and we got a 12-man in the huddle penalty on fourth and one.

[01:10:19] We had to go back to fourth and six.

[01:10:21] We had to punt it.

[01:10:21] You don't look at that when you win.

[01:10:23] When you win, you look at the things that help you win.

[01:10:26] And when you lose, you'll evaluate, like, hey, do we need this many different player personnel packages going in at once?

[01:10:34] You know, do we need to sub out four defensive linemen?

[01:10:37] Because when you did that in the loss, you ended up with 12 men on the field.

[01:10:41] You know, stuff like that I think you can evaluate that you would evaluate in a loss.

[01:10:46] But I think Dan Landon keeps him focused in Oregon.

[01:10:50] You know, his name is always mentioned with new head coach, coaching vacancies, whether it's in the NFL or, you know, college football.

[01:10:57] So I think he keeps him focused.

[01:11:00] I saw the video when he was playing Jump Around.

[01:11:04] So when they went into Wisconsin, they were playing Jump Around.

[01:11:08] He was like, I want the song to motivate you and not to intimidate you.

[01:11:12] So when Wisconsin, they were playing Jump Around, the Oregon players, because they had heard it all week long at practice.

[01:11:20] So when you hear this song, I want you to sort of like it triggered them to, like, take back.

[01:11:26] Like, this is your fight song for right now?

[01:11:28] Nah, it's ours.

[01:11:30] All right, so how about this, Mr. Logical?

[01:11:33] All right, here we go.

[01:11:34] I got to ask you just before we get out of here.

[01:11:36] All right.

[01:11:37] How many teams on this list can win the national title?

[01:11:44] See, this is different because I'm kind of wanting certain teams to lose.

[01:11:49] Don't bring fitness to a back fight.

[01:11:51] Don't bring fitness.

[01:11:53] You hit me with it.

[01:12:01] Realistically, man, three.

[01:12:05] Oregon.

[01:12:06] Oregon.

[01:12:08] The quarterback situation of Georgia does bother me, but they had Stetson Bennett, and he's not like a super dynamic quarterback.

[01:12:17] I don't know what this backup experience level is.

[01:12:20] I don't know if he's like a third or fourth year transfer or whatever.

[01:12:23] Because if it's UCL, only time I've even heard of this injury is when Brock Brady had, like I said, for San Francisco.

[01:12:30] And he was out on the game against Philly.

[01:12:32] I can't imagine that Carson Beck's UCL injury is a week-to-week thing.

[01:12:39] So, without the uncertainty of the quarterback position, I'm surprised their odds are even that high, considering none of us know what the quarterback is looking like.

[01:12:50] But I say Oregon.

[01:12:52] Oregon.

[01:12:53] I know I picked against Notre Dame.

[01:12:56] But I think if they do beat Indiana, it's, you know, it's.

[01:13:00] Yeah, they would get Georgia in the second round.

[01:13:02] They would get Georgia in the second round.

[01:13:03] If they get through that, then it's a wrap.

[01:13:06] So, I say three tops.

[01:13:10] I'm thinking four.

[01:13:11] Two and a possible.

[01:13:12] I'm thinking four.

[01:13:13] I got Oregon, Georgia, Ohio State, and Notre Dame.

[01:13:17] You know, and Ohio State is obviously the long shot, you know, just from, like we said, we don't even know where their mind state is right now.

[01:13:25] But they're the most talented team, probably, you know, as far as just player rating, skill, all that kind of stuff like that.

[01:13:34] So, I got to give them a puncher's chance, especially they're going to, if they do get past Tennessee, you can bet your ass they're going to be motivated to play Oregon in that next round.

[01:13:44] You know what I mean?

[01:13:45] So, even if they're.

[01:13:46] NBA Cup real quick.

[01:13:48] You see the update?

[01:13:49] Yeah, the Bucs.

[01:13:52] The Bucs are the NBA Cup champions.

[01:13:55] Yeah, look at Doc Rivers.

[01:13:56] Look at Doc Rivers turning it around.

[01:13:58] I'm going to give him his name back.

[01:13:59] He Doc again.

[01:14:00] You know what I'm saying?

[01:14:01] Until the playoffs when he choke again.

[01:14:03] But anyway.

[01:14:05] He's falling into pressure moment yet again.

[01:14:08] And then you got Wake Forest, Coach Dave Clawson, stepping down after 11 seasons due to the transfer portal and all that kind of stuff.

[01:14:18] But he's going to stay on as the special advisor to the vice president and director of athletics.

[01:14:25] Mike Norvell is giving Florida State back four and a half million dollars.

[01:14:30] I don't know.

[01:14:31] I don't know.

[01:14:31] Who does that?

[01:14:32] Well, I know with Jim Harbaugh, Michigan kind of gave him an ultimatum of you're going to get fired if we don't restructure your contract.

[01:14:42] So, Harbaugh was more like, all right, I don't want to lose my job.

[01:14:46] Take my money.

[01:14:47] Whereas Norvell, it sounds like he actually initiated this.

[01:14:52] Four and a half million.

[01:14:53] And yes, Darvin Ham is still undefeated as a coach in the NBA Cup.

[01:15:01] Last thing from me.

[01:15:03] Saturday.

[01:15:05] Sickos.

[01:15:06] My sickos out there.

[01:15:07] Saturday at noon and at 3.30 Eastern, we got a doubleheader on ABC.

[01:15:14] That doubleheader is South Dakota going to Montana State.

[01:15:21] And then the second game, South Dakota State, the reigning two-time champion Jack Rabbits going into the Fargo Dome to play against North Dakota State.

[01:15:32] Semi-final football, baby.

[01:15:35] FCS.

[01:15:35] Yes, sir.

[01:15:37] With 24 teams in the playoff, by the way.

[01:15:40] They figured it out.

[01:15:41] It's not going to be rated.

[01:15:43] It's about to crown the champion.

[01:15:45] Yeah.

[01:15:45] So, we will be back Friday, you know, with NFL picks.

[01:15:49] You know, some last-minute college football playoff cleanup.

[01:15:53] Maybe some association for you.

[01:15:56] You know what I'm saying?

[01:15:57] Congrats to the Milwaukee Bucks, you know, for doing what no one said they could.

[01:16:02] Anything is possible!

[01:16:05] You know what I'm saying?

[01:16:07] But, yo, he is the even kill.

[01:16:11] He is Mr. Logical.

[01:16:14] He does not want you to bring feelings to fact fights.

[01:16:18] Don't do it.

[01:16:19] And I am 2-5.

[01:16:22] Unorthodox as they come.

[01:16:23] Mr. Logical was like, what?

[01:16:25] The Rams?

[01:16:27] You know what I'm saying?

[01:16:28] He wasn't ready for that.

[01:16:29] He rashed out, you know.

[01:16:30] I didn't argue with it.

[01:16:31] But we'll be back.

[01:16:32] We love you.

[01:16:34] Like, review, subscribe, share, rate.

[01:16:38] Do all the free things.

[01:16:40] And while you're at it, do all those good things.

[01:16:46] Peace.
