Starting off with Get It Off My Chest, what is San Francisco doing? (02:00) Why all is not lost in Westwood? (13:05) Could the College Football Playoff actually expand again? (16:52) Then, it's off to the Association. (36:45)
[00:00:00] Good evening, mutations.
[00:00:05] Live from the Alamo.
[00:00:08] Two, five, and ten.
[00:00:10] So you know it's sports, it's sports, it's sports.
[00:00:13] You know who I've got with me.
[00:00:16] The one and only,
[00:00:18] Virginia Dorn,
[00:00:20] Jersey Fred,
[00:00:23] Child and the Little Villains Keynet, But before we do that, just give me a second to say, hi, Grandma. Ha ha ha ha. Remember, click the notification buttons. I mean, click the notification buttons so you know when we're going live, follow us on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook.
[00:01:42] Wherever you're thinking about.
[00:01:43] I really appreciate everybody who engaged so far.
[00:01:45] So like, going at staff, and you lost. There's no need to go chopping heads off.
[00:03:01] But yet, people looking for a scapegoat for the Saints,
[00:03:08] let's go 49ers loss. You got a 22-19 lead and one of the greatest quarterbacks of our generation goes on historic run. 75 yard drive, 13 plays. Those moments occur. Those big time guys step up a big time moments and it happens.
[00:04:20] And he got a great playoff and the way the play was executed at the goal line with I third in scoring defense and courtesy at a hot box. Have this that I want to share. D'Amico Rhines was everyone's coach of the year. His defense coordinator for 2021 2022 points per new and his, you know, his family and his friends all over social media. Accept your losses, man, learn from them and move on. But the way they treat you, Steve Wilkes, is just nonsense. It's complete BS.
[00:07:02] If you want to blame anybody, blame Kyle Shanahan. act like it's two minutes left in the game and just rush the ball up the middle. But there's a time and place where you can just run the ball, call a draw play, call a screenplay versus what he was calling. You know. Like I said, it's not,
[00:08:20] I think we're using the result
[00:08:25] as like an indictment on the play calling itself. you don't take the time to decompress and really like break down. We had a hell of a season and we had a lead in the fourth quarter and overtime of the Super Bowl. We just came up against a guy that just plays at a different level.
[00:09:42] I'm not saying you gotta be like, we were glad to be there.
[00:09:46] You showed up, you showed up well. the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl comes back from 10 points in the Super Bowl. Gump thirteen. You know what I'm saying? Gump sixteen. Yeah, I I guess I said I got text you earlier. I was like, Steve Wilkes must have said something. Listen, man. You're the officer genius. What the **** points at? Yeah. We had we had those guys
[00:11:01] down to six points late in the
[00:11:03] third quarter. Greatest
[00:11:06] quarterback of a generation. Yo, I think there were waiver, whereas if you, if you zoom in on some of the faces on the San Francisco side, I think collectively that whole drive my home's at the ball. It was a lot of people just like, and it's like, Trust me, as somebody that's not the, that's not the defensive coordinator's fault.
[00:12:20] As somebody that the entire team looks nervous.
[00:12:23] As somebody that talks about Florida State and Miami a lot,
[00:12:25] you know, I understand, you know, but, that place with USC falling under sanctions. So now you got people like Mr. Logical out here talking about why we mad at the players. But these coaches just up and leaving whenever they want.
[00:13:40] Not only did Chip Kelly leave, because UCLA is going
[00:13:44] to the Big and be their running back coach, but then he got the call to come home. So this is my question for you, UCLA. Are you going to play the NIL game?
[00:16:02] I get all that. But you still is right in LA. Yeah, you're UCLA like right now.
[00:16:08] We know the basketball history and the tradition, even though they've only won what one title since john wouldn't after he was cheating.
[00:16:16] You know, like the only one one title since then which was a about 30 years ago next year. Yeah, Pac-12 is gonna be the vote. Right, right, right, right. I like you gonna get more games out of it because that is the most exciting time because ironically, the College Football playoff somewhat has rendered the regular season at the top somewhat irrelevant.
[00:17:41] It's basically, can we play an early tough game,
[00:17:46] play it well and lose or play it well and win?
[00:18:44] versus Oklahoma, like you're gonna have like these match ups throughout the year.
[00:18:45] So having the 12 teams at the end is gonna be pretty exciting
[00:18:47] but even with that still people wanna be upset.
[00:18:50] So I got a couple of questions.
[00:18:54] Number one, what do we do with Notre Dame?
[00:18:58] Because- Let us stay independent.
[00:18:59] Well, you know, I was looking at this, thinking about this
[00:19:02] and you know, we're talking about this model,
[00:19:04] the five and seven.
[00:19:05] So five highest rated conference champions, it's gonna probably force them to join someone. That's what I'm saying. It's gonna be teams like Utah, or they're gonna be getting like Notre Dame money. Well, you know, as a Florida State fan, screw Notre Dame.
[00:20:22] People are tired of college football conference realignment, right?
[00:20:25] Notre Dame has the ability to stop this Hell just paid a hundred and, or I'm sorry, Amazon just paid 125 million to get a wild card game. So, yeah, so I think once this money starts flowing to everyone, then I gotta go to NBC. Like, yo, we need you to open that bag back up. And it was like, nah. All right, so here's my second question.
[00:21:44] So Washington state and Oregon state, you they'll have to go to Death Valley. So you don't have to worry about selling out NFL stadiums because you're gonna be playing games at home. So the local fans for the first, well, like first two rounds, because it'll be five, five 12.
[00:23:02] Yeah.
[00:23:03] So like the first couple of rounds.
[00:23:06] So I think the first couple of rounds are gonna be that the NFL has set up their divisions. Well, the reason that I asked- I don't think it was set back to it, but- The reason that I asked-...the ball doesn't like that. Right, that's the reason. So everybody keeps saying, well, if Ohio State beats Michigan and they got to play them again, you're the only one complaining about that.
[00:24:21] I watch Ohio State play Michigan again.
[00:24:24] Just be honest.
[00:24:25] You know, like as I look at this,
[00:25:25] Where the Big Ten and SEC champ have an automatic bid,
[00:25:29] and then everything else is at large?
[00:25:33] No, because the Big Ten is only really,
[00:25:36] they've caught fire with the hard ball going back to Michigan and Ohio State
[00:25:39] just kind of changing coaches and staying steady.
[00:25:43] They haven't really had that great of a sustained impact
[00:25:45] from the other team with just talent. Most of your like the we'll use a Georgia TCU game. Georgia to beat the 4th. But you don't want Cinderella in the final. In college football. You don't want to win the title. You want them to entertain you enough to where you can say, see, I picked them, but then they lose. In college football from SEC big 10 or ACC. Just do attrition because you're going to first of all you're going to have out of that 12 I'm predicting. You're probably going to have.
[00:29:42] Three SEC schools.
[00:29:45] At least give me two big 10. So how to be another one of your squeezes. And then you're gonna end up filling it out with like 10 and two Ole Miss or 10 and two Georgia if they're not the champion. And then it's just gonna be business as usual after the first round. Right. So yeah, so like I said, this is gonna last for at least two years. And then in 2026, they'll come back to the table
[00:31:01] to see if they wanna make any adjustments.
[00:31:04] Two years isn't long enough.
[00:31:05] I would, I would So that's one each. Then we go ACC with Florida State, SEC Georgia, you know, Chuck E. Cheese, now you can kind of pluck out what you want. Because now when the season's over, the college football playoff, all they do is pluck out who they want and serve who they want. So having a 10-2 Oklahoma, a 10-2 Ole Miss, a 10-2 Penn State, and a 10-2 Missouri, but you got to get Liberty and SMUN
[00:33:41] because they're the power five, the G5 schools,
[00:33:44] you got to pluck two of those out.
[00:33:45] That's the only thing you need to know.
[00:33:47] You only need one. and then Alabama, Texas, Washington and Michigan would have had your buys. So either, if you get four years of data on it, maybe that Liberty Florida State game is compelling. Maybe the Georgia, Georgia Oklahoma game,
[00:35:01] because you want a piece of the other,
[00:35:02] where like at least the games are competitive.
[00:35:05] But if you're only gonna let in,
[00:36:10] So we got Minnesota, Oklahoma City, Denver, and the Clippers. That's your top four in the West.
[00:36:13] I like it. I like it.
[00:36:14] Which one of them needs home court the most?
[00:36:17] Minnesota because they're young.
[00:36:19] I was thinking OKC because they are the new kid on the block. And you know, back when they had that thing humming,
[00:37:41] that arena was electric.
[00:37:43] You know, like Minnesota, I don't know Minnesota
[00:37:46] to be electric. get it going. I don't know if OKC really buys into the fact that they're going to make a run through the playoffs. I think they're so young. I don't know if they believe like oh you know we can really do this. Whereas Minnesota believes it. Couple of years of disappointment and out of like yo like we need we need home court advantage so we can
[00:39:00] do it in front of these fans. You saw how happy they were with a when they won the playing
[00:39:04] game a couple of years ago. Like that's So you know but I think I think I like OKC as far as like I think they're the ones. So question number two Mr. Logil. Let's hear it. McGlump did it, but it just, it just, even like I said, even in the city, like we literally drove right downtown. There was no traffic. We parked right by the bar. We went to, it just was like the NBA all-star.
[00:41:40] It's just like, I don't know if people take it,
[00:41:42] not necessarily take it seriously, but just like that.
[00:41:45] I don't know if maybe they take it too serious
[00:41:48] and they don't, yeah, let's get to the
[00:43:00] all-star game. We'll try to ramp it up and then after that we'll got to play in
[00:43:05] and we got us all the stuff. I just I just feel us is. I'm trying to get Kevin Hart dream on it. Do it again though, because I'm glad one of us is. And since we're talking about Sabrina, let me get a second here. Shout out to Caitlin Clark for becoming the all time NCAA women's kneeling score. So, you know, congratulations on that, Miss Clark. I'm surprised she went back to college.
[00:44:22] She had to be a number one overall pick last year, like at least prospect.
[00:44:26] Yeah, but I'm not excited for Steph and Sabrina. Told eight of them you are a dynamite and they told the other eight you are granulite or whatever some other other thing and they just they bind it with that and they were like competitive about it. So it was like I think putting guys back in east and west just like even those like listen on you're just your Easter conference player what's going to be I think it would make it more competitive because if you're stepping clay.
[00:46:43] you know, like it just brings it back home almost to where, how it should be, you know,
[00:46:46] I didn't like the pickup side of it.
[00:46:49] I didn't like that.
[00:46:50] And another thing I didn't like in those years
[00:46:52] when they were wearing their own uniforms,
[00:46:54] instead of wearing like an all-star game uniform,
[00:46:56] I never understood why some years they wore
[00:46:58] their own uniform and some years they had all,
[00:47:01] I'm like, you guys have money.
[00:47:04] See, I like the uniforms when it pops a little more. I think it's- Put a patch on it. Mine. You can put their name. Just put- You want a tactics on there? No, just like anywhere. Like where they had these advertisements now. Like just when you make the uniform right here, just put a clipper logo.
[00:48:20] No, that ain't good enough.
[00:48:21] Or a jazz logo.
[00:48:22] That ain't good enough.
[00:48:23] Cause the word uniform by definition
[00:48:26] means you'd be in the same you can put the team patch or something on it so but that was a terrible pass oh actually worked out but like it like I know it was it was a pretty iconic game where LeBron fits in the Warriors scheme. I don't know what you you have to deplete. Like, because if you call the Lakers and say, hey, we want LeBron.
[00:51:04] You can't just give up a couple of draft picks because you're calling like
[00:52:05] I don't know why the I don't know why I mean I guess the Warriors got to make a move
[00:52:11] Well this summer allegedly after Paul George or Durant or LeBron
[00:52:19] Because they're never mind already said that yeah, so like this is this is what the Warriors are So I know that they came back and won the title
[00:52:22] You know after KD left, I know they won the title before KD got there when LeBron was playing with whoever to your team, considering that you're gonna have to give up young depth. Just to get them just that that alone, and you're gonna get one gear run and you're gonna go up against a young OKC team, a young intact Minnesota team, resurgent Denver,
[00:53:42] trying to go for a back to back championship. Isaiah Stewart, have you weight champion of the world? Young, 22 years old. I thought he was a little older because I remember the incident with him and LeBron. I thought he was maybe closer to 25 or so. All right, 22, I don't know how you get in the argument. Well, I could back up forward.
[00:55:01] Ford, he played like the guy played 18 minutes that he had in the fight with.
[00:55:06] He's like, you're not in the same age range. That should be your focus when you get to the building. I'm the NBA player, I averaged this many points. I wanna average more, I wanna get more minutes, I wanna get more money, I wanna help my team win. Like that has to be the main thing. This was before the game. So I don't know what happened before the game
[00:56:21] to where you even get into an altercation.
[00:56:23] It was a physical parking spot, even with that.
[00:56:26] You gotta keep the main thing. Well, Clay is on, they got benched now. It comes off the bench, but I think he's at, I think he's at like last time I checked, I was like 26 points maybe, something like that. But I think Cleveland has the shots. I like how they play defense, like Garland, I like a Swite.
[00:57:40] I just, like I said, I just think But I don't know if it's because they don't involve him enough, but I just haven't seen what I thought I was going to see from him. So he's playing like more of like a motivated Aiten. Yeah, that's a good, that's a good one. Yeah. And I think that's the kind of, sometimes that's,
[00:59:01] that's what you transitioned to me. We talk about this all the time with,
[00:59:04] you know, the famous Pat Bev., right now they're second in the East. The Bucks always have a shot because they have, they got Dame who is clutch. We've seen it when he close out two series. And then of course you have Giannis who's a freak. But they are spraying their goal away from being mediocre again on defense.
[01:00:24] And they have Doc Rivers.
[01:00:26] Yeah. I don't know if that mixes very well. I'm looking for the champs. Will the real Nuggets please stand up? It's time to assert yourselves as we see champions, not that they faltered, they're only like a game and a half out of the first seed, but you know, this is around the time where we see the champs start to put their foot down
[01:01:42] and say, we're here.
[01:01:43] I wanna see as we get closer to the end of the season,
[01:02:41] the second half of the season. Second half, I'm looking for some of these teams
[01:02:45] in this general area, like around here, Jersey.
[01:02:48] I'm looking for them to,
[01:02:51] Clay, I'm just, you know, I'm an avid,
[01:02:52] Clay has like 35 points in 18 minutes.
[01:02:57] I'm looking for the Knicks to do well.
[01:03:00] I think the atmosphere when New York is doing well,
[01:03:03] especially in sports, is different,
[01:03:05] it's a different kind of vibe.
[01:03:07] I don't wanna check that out.
[01:03:08] I don't wanna, you know team because that was almost the only conversation right now We have the Clippers Granted these guys are older but that those four guys Can you imagine if those four guys were on the same team six years ago? Like it wouldn't have been fun. It was very similar to like the KD Steph clay warriors. I was kind of getting sick of that because
[01:04:22] we got excitement in that go to stay Sacramento series last year because the young team really
[01:05:23] VP twice in finals of VP. So I like that.
[01:05:26] I want healthy players.
[01:05:28] I want guys to be able to make through.
[01:05:29] I want to see how New Orleans and the Pelicans do.
[01:05:32] I want to see Zion in the big moments.
[01:05:35] I want real basketball.
[01:05:39] Era take off.
[01:05:41] New Wave.
[01:05:41] I want to see these new guys.
[01:05:43] I am to
