But... Are They Invincible?

Get It Off My Chest is Back. Can UConn go back to back? Has Purdue reached redemption status? The NBA playoff race is in full-swing, it's time to go Around the Association.

[00:00:00] Fandall when I made a bet in one.

[00:00:05] You are live, sir.

[00:00:10] You know what I'm saying? We are live.

[00:00:12] It's Sports Reports As Ordered, 2-5.

[00:00:15] Coming at you with the even kill.

[00:00:18] Virginia born, New Jersey bred.

[00:00:22] Do not, I repeat, do not bring feelings to a fat fight.

[00:00:28] You don't do it.

[00:00:30] He is Mr. Logical.

[00:00:32] As I said, I'm 2-5.

[00:00:34] You're unorthodox statistician.

[00:00:36] Going left so much that you thought I was South Park.

[00:00:39] Tonight we're going to talk to you about the NBA Playoff Race.

[00:00:44] A little bit of Final Four with a little bit of...

[00:00:48] I got some questions for Mr. Logical.

[00:00:50] You know what I'm saying?

[00:00:52] But of course we all get it started with Get It Off My Chest.

[00:00:54] But let's hit it.

[00:00:56] Sports Reports As Ordered, like, review, subscribe.

[00:00:59] What's up, Grandma?

[00:01:19] Yes.

[00:01:21] You are now listening to the sounds.

[00:01:25] Sports Reports As Ordered.

[00:01:27] So as I said, we're going to get this party started with Get It Off My Chest.

[00:01:32] So Mr. Logical, please do the honors.

[00:01:36] All right.

[00:01:38] I got a couple of things.

[00:01:40] First, I'm going to shout out.

[00:01:42] PRD, go back to Kunsan 2012-2013.

[00:01:48] Avionics Flight.

[00:01:50] We did it big.

[00:01:52] Every Friday we was hitting every hooch.

[00:01:54] We were hitting the Avionics hooch.

[00:01:56] We were hitting the KAM hooch.

[00:01:58] We were hitting the MXS hooch.

[00:02:00] We were hitting everywhere.

[00:02:02] If anybody knows about the hooches, they're just little bars that every squadron has on base at Kunsan.

[00:02:08] Mike was there doing his, you know, staying playing basketball, being a good guy.

[00:02:12] I was out in the streets heavy, drunk every Friday, spilling pig pie and chicken teriyaki in my jersey.

[00:02:19] As a matter of fact, I think when I came back from my deployment, I just hung it up.

[00:02:23] This is the chicken teriyaki stay right here, my son's name.

[00:02:26] So let's keep it a being shout out to Ramos Nolan, who else?

[00:02:32] LaClaire, Huffy, Zimmerman, Short, Candace.

[00:02:37] So like shout out everybody out in Kunsan.

[00:02:39] Like I got to shout out my military folks.

[00:02:42] But with that being said, I was a knucklehead in those days.

[00:02:45] On the back of the jerseys 31, that was how old I was.

[00:02:48] I was a knucklehead.

[00:02:50] I was drinking, I was in my hair, drinking and just getting in trouble.

[00:02:53] Not necessarily getting in trouble.

[00:02:55] I was drinking to a point where like it's pretty crazy you can get in trouble.

[00:02:59] But all my guys with the jerseys on, they looked out for me, got me out of situations.

[00:03:05] I got them out of situations.

[00:03:06] We protected ourselves.

[00:03:08] We protected the group.

[00:03:10] And it was an understanding like you throw the jersey on, we out together.

[00:03:13] We was all in the group, 10, 15, 20 deep in these jerseys looking out for each other.

[00:03:19] And that leads me to like get off my chest where she writes in your boys right here racing on interstate.

[00:03:23] This I know you're innocent to proving guilty, but yo, you got to stop ignoring the cautionary tales that have been laid before you.

[00:03:31] Everybody knows they made movies about it.

[00:03:35] They make TV shows about it.

[00:03:37] I heard Mike Epps speak about it a few weeks ago on all the smoke podcast with Stephen Jackson, Matt Barnes.

[00:03:44] When you have a guy and you make it out of humble beginnings because of his athleticism, and it gets you this, this, this cash flow that you're not used to, especially on his rookie deal is not that much money.

[00:04:00] You got to look out for him the same way he's looking out for you so he's putting into position aware.

[00:04:05] You're a party.

[00:04:07] Yeah, young 22 2324.

[00:04:09] I'm not telling you not to go out there and party.

[00:04:11] But you got to look like yo dog.

[00:04:13] We know how guys get suspended in the NFL.

[00:04:16] We know how people and players move.

[00:04:19] We know you're replaceable.

[00:04:21] So somebody has to have the common sense in the group to say yo, let's not get these Corvettes and rent these Lamborghinis and racing down a highway.

[00:04:30] Let's not flee the scene.

[00:04:32] I saw one video granted this is just video speculation.

[00:04:35] I heard someone say some towards the end of the video about like, I saw them doing something with firearms.

[00:04:41] Don't ride around with guns if you if you need a gun to go where you going.

[00:04:46] That's another thing that you think we go.

[00:04:48] We don't need to go there.

[00:04:50] Let's go out to dinner.

[00:04:52] You can even you can chase women when you're out at dinner.

[00:04:56] You can go get some clothes and just and y'all can just do your thing.

[00:05:00] You don't have to go back and stunt.

[00:05:02] You don't have to go out here and drive these expensive cars because all you're doing is putting your for lack of a better word, your meal ticket in jeopardy because he is replaceable.

[00:05:14] It's like 1400 guys in the NFL.

[00:05:17] Every team got practice squad wide receivers that are 6263 hands measured at 10 10 and a half inches that can jump 40 plus inches.

[00:05:27] Everybody has one of those guys available.

[00:05:29] He was fortunate enough to be on the team with the proverbial goat of this era and when a Super Bowl, you put him in a position where he can be back in Dallas with y'all doing nothing.

[00:05:42] So I get that guys are young somebody in the group has to have the force I like listen, we can't do what every other negative athlete did before us.

[00:05:54] We saw the blueprint.

[00:05:55] You see what happened with this brand.

[00:05:57] We've seen what happened one of most one of most iconic players in sports history Alan Iverson.

[00:06:04] If you if you're not old enough, I'm a overhead.

[00:06:07] We saw it happen with MC Hammer and his entourage where it's just like you just blow your money.

[00:06:13] We've seen the third 30 for 30s but the main thing is like you put you put your meal ticket in a criminal situation when you walk away from that it can be eat.

[00:06:24] You can you can get so many charges levied against him, especially someone says you know I'm gonna just take the charge.

[00:06:33] But it's too late.

[00:06:34] You're already talking in the public.

[00:06:35] You already making statements.

[00:06:36] You already playing to the public.

[00:06:37] You already have video evidence of you walking away from the scene.

[00:06:43] Do the smart thing because right now his career is legit in jeopardy without a doubt.

[00:06:49] It is in jeopardy.

[00:06:50] It is in the hands of somebody else who knows he's replaceable.

[00:06:55] So listen you want to be part of the entourage.

[00:06:59] One of y'all got to be smart.

[00:07:01] One of y'all got to get the knucklehead back to his room.

[00:07:05] One of y'all got to get the drunk guy out of the club.

[00:07:08] One of y'all got to get your homeboy out of the situation where it looks like he might be too aggressive with a couple of women.

[00:07:16] One of y'all has to get him away from the police.

[00:07:19] One of y'all has to get him one of y'all has to tell him we don't need to go here or we don't need five bottles of Henny.

[00:07:27] We can just do a couple is only four of us.

[00:07:30] You see have a couple of drinks.

[00:07:32] Somebody needs to have the force like to say April is coming.

[00:07:37] May is coming next season is coming.

[00:07:40] Your next contract is coming.

[00:07:42] You want to buy your mama house you can't do that if you're out here with us and we all broke.

[00:07:48] So somebody has to have the force like otherwise we're just perpetuating in the same negative stereotype the same negative cycle of getting out of the hood going back and doing hood rash shit with your friends.

[00:08:01] Cut it out.

[00:08:03] Cut it out.

[00:08:05] Shout out to Coon Con.

[00:08:07] There you have it.

[00:08:09] You know couldn't have said it better myself.

[00:08:11] You know, there's always I remember.

[00:08:15] We always had the guy that wanted to fight everybody you know say he wanted to go to the bar and think that he caught him a Gregor something.

[00:08:22] And you know one night, I remember.

[00:08:26] I was I was drunk.

[00:08:28] I fell asleep.

[00:08:30] I just heard this thud like a boom, like just this thud.

[00:08:34] And I woke up and this dude I was probably like 62 through our like five foot six dude like just throw him on the ground.

[00:08:44] So I'm drunk out my mind what I do I get up I come swinging bus right through the day room window.

[00:08:51] You know, so I got to go talk to the first sergeant you know like got to take care of each other got to take care of each other.

[00:08:58] I'm not saying but get it off my chest.

[00:09:01] So my get it off my chest isn't as heavy as Mr logic.

[00:09:06] I'm going to just talk about sports real quick and lead us into this final four discussion.

[00:09:11] But what I want to talk about is greed and money.

[00:09:20] So earlier this year we told you boycott peacock.

[00:09:25] Well now I'm telling you boycott Fox because what are they doing next season, the college basketball crown the what you heard me correctly, the college basketball crown.

[00:09:40] So we already have March Madness.

[00:09:43] You already have the MIT.

[00:09:45] Some people call it the losers tournament.

[00:09:47] You know, and now Fox is trying to take what's left over from the big 12 the big East and the big 10 since those are the conferences that they have contracts with to have a 16 team tournament that is going to take place during final four week.

[00:10:08] Basically the elite eight happens on Saturday and Sunday, and then you got that week to play these 16 teams to automatic bids from each conference.

[00:10:20] The rest of the 10 teams from a committee.

[00:10:24] So is this a thing where mid majors are invited contractually can the ACC and SCC schools play in it since their ESPN entities to be determined I'm going to guess no.

[00:10:37] But why are they doing this in the middle of the transfer portal, in the middle of coaches being hired and fired. You know why because they think that if they have brand names, we will watch.

[00:10:50] You know, if St. Johns is there.

[00:10:54] All I see as a team that was not good enough to make the NCAA tournament.

[00:10:59] And maybe a team that was not good enough to make the MIT.

[00:11:03] Unless this tournament replaces the MIT.

[00:11:08] But even if that is the case.

[00:11:12] They're banking on us wanting to settle second place.

[00:11:18] And I got a message to all of you out there.

[00:11:21] You ain't in second place. You are enough.

[00:11:26] So we got the final four coming up this weekend.

[00:11:31] You can against Alabama per due against NC State.

[00:11:37] So I promised you some questions, Mr logical ready to fire off the first one.

[00:11:43] So obviously to win the national title and become the first repeat champion since Florida back in 2007.

[00:11:51] You can only has to beat two of these three teams.

[00:11:55] But which one of these three teams has the best chance to beat you, Con.

[00:12:05] I would say, and I like I said, you were on the hot box after the hot box earlier.

[00:12:11] I will say Purdue.

[00:12:14] And I imagine everyone if I said the same thing, I'm gonna say Purdue.

[00:12:18] I'm gonna say Purdue because the college basketball we talked about it recently.

[00:12:26] I don't think like it's that intricate of an offensive scheme.

[00:12:31] I think defensively a lot of teams sitting to three zone and hope the other team shoots poorly.

[00:12:37] And they just collapse on everything because it's so compact because the three point line isn't that far from the free throw line.

[00:12:43] So you can kind of pack it in defensively and is a very team defensive oriented concept.

[00:12:51] But Edie is so much bigger.

[00:12:54] Not just height, like he's wide he's not like when the wind means probably seven, they say 75 in his shoes I make some 73 whatever the case may be place by 732 03.

[00:13:07] So it looks like it.

[00:13:09] Eighty seven for all of 254.

[00:13:13] I got a list of that 300.

[00:13:15] Well, that's probably bad number. Yeah, I was thinking like guess so he looks like a big body in comparison to everybody else.

[00:13:22] So him getting the ball above the zone at the rim.

[00:13:28] You're gonna have to follow them.

[00:13:31] And I'm gonna have to follow the shooter.

[00:13:33] Like I say he said 40 points on 21 shots he shot 22 free throws in the elite eight round game.

[00:13:40] And I just imagine that he's going to be able to frustrate the NC State offense.

[00:13:49] So I think you have another good game and the final four and the semi final, which he's going to ride that momentum on top of all the momentum that and whatever they have gone from the fact that they lost last year.

[00:14:01] Because his is the way he reacted to winning.

[00:14:05] When he cut the net down and we was like hugging his coach and like, you can just tell he took it on his chest last year because he won every major individual award last year.

[00:14:15] As far as player like the nice myth, the Gary every, every award you could want as an individual player. He won them all.

[00:14:22] So I think he came back with a vengeance. Then if you if you pay attention to social media scouting at all, they probably people have them list as like a late first round maybe second round pick maybe that fuels him.

[00:14:34] I just feel like that physical advantage and the fact that he is the leader of this organization.

[00:14:41] I think Purdue has the best shot of beating you con.

[00:14:45] Now everybody on the hot box actually said NC State.

[00:14:50] So my answer is Alabama.

[00:14:55] I just think that Alabama has the biggest variants of

[00:15:03] so in NC State is a good answer because NC State can play any style, you know you want to play fast you want to slow it down.

[00:15:11] They got burns that can control the tempo, the clock make great passes out of the post.

[00:15:19] I think Alabama because they their versatile on offense from the standpoint of being able to shoot the lights out.

[00:15:31] If the shots not fallen, they're fast, you know I don't know how fast Purdue is outside of lunch.

[00:15:37] But if there's shots aren't falling doesn't that fuel you con.

[00:15:42] I'm not to think because they turned defense into all.

[00:15:45] Well that's why I brought up the variants because I'm thinking of Alabama at their best.

[00:15:51] You know Sam but Alabama at their worst, could lose the you con by 45.

[00:15:57] You know to me and we've seen in this tournament, you con has led every game in this tournament by 30 at some point during the game.

[00:16:07] You con has trailed for 28 seconds of this tournament out of a possible one is that 28 seconds total or 28 seconds in the second half.

[00:16:18] I heard a stat similar to that.

[00:16:20] I'm not through you con now it was 28 seconds total out of a possible 160 minutes.

[00:16:27] So domination right Purdue, I like the matchup because they have the one person that is clinging size he's bigger than clinging.

[00:16:36] But they have the one person that's matching up and looking clinging in the eye.

[00:16:41] You know but outside of that, I don't know if the rest of Purdue is athletic enough to cause you con problems.

[00:16:50] So my second one thing when they force, but what would Purdue in the way that the offense goes to Edie.

[00:16:59] And I think defensively, I don't see him getting in foul trouble because he doesn't have to really attack the guy he's defending more than just create a nuisance with just size.

[00:17:14] We'll talk about Wimmy.

[00:17:16] I don't think Wimmy gets in foul trouble because he just, as long as I'm here, I can impact your shot.

[00:17:23] I can impact the pass. I can impact the shot. I can impact your vision. And I think that he has that same premise.

[00:17:30] I didn't think he was going to play this well. I thought it was going to be a bit of a hangover from last year.

[00:17:36] But just watching my second question, like do they have to win the national title to be redeemed or is making is this final or run enough of the redemption tour.

[00:17:52] I don't think they have to give you for losing to the 16 C from Jersey.

[00:17:57] I don't think so because I think people want people want that first round upset.

[00:18:04] They don't care who it happens to. They just want it because people want to see it. People want to be like, you said at 16, you're the one.

[00:18:12] I think people are going to view it as this situation where they fell apart and they were, because I don't know how much people really care if Purdue succeeds on the college basketball landscape.

[00:18:26] So I don't think losing to a 16 C because when UVA lost, they lost by like 18 points.

[00:18:32] Yeah.

[00:18:33] Normally you lose. Yeah, normally you lose on like a hail, you know, like a long three pointer and just like a scrappy game and you lose 66 to 65 on a miracle two point shot.

[00:18:47] They lost something like 85 to 68 or 85 to 65.

[00:18:51] They got dominated by 16 C and it was like that doesn't make any sense.

[00:18:55] Right.

[00:18:56] I think people are looking at them like, oh, well we expect them to be better. So I don't, I don't think there's going to be.

[00:19:04] Expectations for Purdue with that high.

[00:19:07] Anyone would care if they wouldn't lose.

[00:19:09] So this is their first final four since the year before we were born.

[00:19:14] So from that,

[00:19:16] we damn near 50 slide gray hair over here.

[00:19:19] Hey, speak for yourself. I'm nowhere near.

[00:19:24] But but but I think that at this stage, you're here. So just get it done.

[00:19:30] Especially that would be the ultimate success to lose to a 16 seed and then stop this Yukon team in the national title game.

[00:19:39] That's a story, you know, so so I'm hoping they pull it off like you know what I mean I would love to see that just from the story standpoint like I would love if I had the rank it in order.

[00:19:52] Of who I would want to win the national title.

[00:19:55] I would say, I would number one NC State, number two Alabama, three Yukon for Purdue, but for the story standpoint to lose to a 16 seed and then come back and in the juggernaut that we know you can to be.

[00:20:14] That's what sports are made of.

[00:20:16] Yeah.

[00:20:17] But then my third question, more likely to lose this weekend.

[00:20:23] Yukon or South Carolina.

[00:20:27] Yukon.

[00:20:29] Oh yeah. Yeah.

[00:20:33] Hey, you know the team that put out South Carolina last year still around right.

[00:20:39] Yeah, I was cool. But like I talked about my get off my chest we have evidence to show like these behaviors and the drawbacks of these behaviors.

[00:20:51] When we have evidence to show don't put a five nine point guard on Caitlin Clark.

[00:20:59] Just put

[00:21:01] like maybe you put your most athletic defender on her.

[00:21:06] Like I would put someone out there with the flow day on her.

[00:21:14] Like, like every Bradley kind of situation where I don't expect anything from you offensively.

[00:21:21] I want you to exhaust yourself defensively on her will play four on five offensively and will be fine.

[00:21:31] But I want you to simply use every bit of energy you have I'm gonna have to I have two girls.

[00:21:39] I don't want to be her that like listen, I don't want you dribbling the ball. I don't want you wasting any energy other than the energy you expend stopping her from shooting the ball at 27 feet.

[00:21:51] Right.

[00:21:52] Because she doesn't shoot floaters in the lane. She gets to the rim, or she passes she shoots like that she shoots aside like she'll dribble left.

[00:22:00] And she was killing Haley Haley was she was working hard to get to these screens with us like, I don't remember 44 just was a big body and she was putting a mean screen on her every time.

[00:22:10] And I guess the other girls shuckles I forgot her name was, and this was like she just got enough space.

[00:22:16] Like I said before she was probably she's probably closest to playing like Steph Curry that anybody else I think Dame Lillard has that kind of style trade young has a little bit but the percentages are off.

[00:22:29] But for her if you put up like the simulcasts of Steph Curry coming off the screens with the ball and Caitlin Clark it looks very, very, very similar. And you can name in there too.

[00:22:42] So I would just put I would just put my best defender on her. If they meet in the, in the championship game I just put my best defenders on her.

[00:22:51] Just exhaust yourself. I want you, I want you getting an IV at a half time because I want you to work that hard to stop her from shooting the ball from Iowa does not win the national title does not

[00:23:05] is Caitlin the first woman to get the you choked treatment.

[00:23:15] No, because they've already I think people are already been kind of like we've been doing this a lot. We being sports basketball pundits, you know we can go with the Jordan LeBron debate the stuff debate Kobe debate who your teammates so from so on so

[00:23:33] like this week I've heard multiple times, like Caitlin Clark. She was a top 50 in her senior class and another one of her teammates was top 50 in their senior class before he came into college.

[00:23:45] I guess you can stop Carolina.

[00:23:48] LSU they all have between like five and seven top 50 teammates, she has one. So I think people are kind of laying the groundwork because in the women's game we don't see many upsets in the first round because the top women's teams have

[00:24:07] the top crop of talent from the country. USC has the best players, Yukon has the best players.

[00:24:15] Like I said we won't you don't get a lot of University in Northern Iowa with a potential four or five star recruit at a high school that decided to stay home and go to Northern Iowa where you could get that in the men's game where you get a transfer from Kentucky that goes back

[00:24:29] to Northern Iowa and you know whatever case maybe doesn't really happen that often in the women's game. So the team that she has is like if you take her off their first round exit.

[00:24:42] She's so she's so good and so impactful, and it's so fluid. It looks as if she wants that shot every time like I want this 26 and a half foot three point shot.

[00:24:56] I'm going to run off the screen. I'm going to run off this one. I'm going to come off this way, but I'm shooting this shot.

[00:25:02] And when and when they had a shoe in the ropes. She was firing off it was that killer instinct she's like,

[00:25:09] see sometimes you see with players. They don't want to heat check or they don't want to like you know where five, but she's like Susie went up five she's like we're going up eight if I get this ball back we're going up eight.

[00:25:21] Just I think soft Carolina would just be able to punish them inside and the athleticism I think they'll be able to get to the rim even though she's putting up threes.

[00:25:29] I think they'll be able to shut the other because I think in the game against LSU had two of the girls scored 20 points. So she dropped 40.

[00:25:38] Another girl forgot her name she dropped 20 21 couple of them drop at all for the cysts from her night not just solely from her but like they were all in a flow because they couldn't guard Caitlin 27 feet out that she was just getting them.

[00:25:54] You know they were getting easy looks on the backside.

[00:25:56] Well I know.

[00:25:58] You know she had the 41 point triple double last year against South Carolina.

[00:26:04] You know if I didn't despise Gino so much.

[00:26:08] You know I would love to see page beckers get a title and you know finish off the red her addiction story with all the injuries and all the setbacks that she had.

[00:26:19] She plays a lot like Dame like she plays inside outside contact free throws just because when you come was down because we watched the game Monday.

[00:26:31] I think they were down like 16 maybe 17 or five and I was like oh this might be something different and then you and I would talk we're doing a show going through going through a look back to score with 23 21 I was like what happened.

[00:26:43] See was taking dumb shots that's what happened.

[00:26:47] She's like about the fire off.

[00:26:50] But yeah us USC my national title pick by the way you know way to go.

[00:26:55] Yeah good chance.

[00:26:57] Swing.

[00:27:03] Allege season is sometimes got a mic.

[00:27:06] Yeah, it's this oak you know it lasts all the way through April and it's severe right now so you know it's just one of the close my window but but yeah so so getting back to the final four.

[00:27:16] You know to the back to the on court stuff.

[00:27:19] You know NC State is not scared of Purdue.

[00:27:23] You know over the last three weeks, they've beaten Marquette North Carolina and Duke twice.

[00:27:29] So they are not afraid of Purdue.

[00:27:32] Yeah, like I said we talked about the Duke match up do they realize that Duke had Kelly Kaposki down there couldn't play any defense.

[00:27:40] There's only so much you could do I get like Duke is a great historic program, but just schematically what they were doing in work.

[00:27:50] He won't be able to do what he did to you know, I'm so calm Kelly Kaposki.

[00:27:57] Shut up and say about about he's like we have to do that to eat just too big. He's just like too big like even if you want to bang he's like okay we could do this all day because I'm a gold mine and do the same thing and you're gonna have to you

[00:28:11] gonna be following him hitting the ball in here.

[00:28:13] He's going to be getting free throw a lot of what I want to know is who's bringing with him is last Jones going to step up again he hit the big shot against Tennessee transfer from Southern Illinois.

[00:28:27] You know you got lecture lawyer, you know former Mr Indiana player of the year two years ago produced the second best three point shooting team in the country and then you have.

[00:28:39] They're going to have a lot of space because they're going to double ed knows and he's going to find he's going to find someone and they're going to be they're going to get open looks.

[00:28:48] You had Marquette NC State held Marquette to four for 31 from the three point line they held 31 three pointers.

[00:28:59] Just let it fire I don't know tell you man.

[00:29:05] They held they held Duke to five for 20.

[00:29:10] So, so that's going to be the key to the game because we know that Edie is going to have an impact on the game one way or the other.

[00:29:19] Our can NC State three point defense travel like I know you were talking the other day about how you get in these football stadiums and the depth perception is off.

[00:29:30] So is it possible that Purdue is going to get off to a slow start in NC State will be able to build some momentum maybe even build a lead instead of having to come from behind.

[00:29:43] Well, depends on how much time they get the practice because this.

[00:29:49] So we had to show Monday the final four was set Sunday.

[00:29:53] First game is Saturday.

[00:29:55] So if they get a couple of practices between.

[00:30:02] Imagine a travel on Monday or Tuesday.

[00:30:05] They get a couple of practices and maybe they get that depth perception part figured out my eyes are to the left here because I'm watching you'll get destroyed and clippers.

[00:30:17] We'll get to that later.

[00:30:19] But I think they are like I said, working the working the ball inside out understand the new basketball format is shoot the three get the rebound, lay it up.

[00:30:35] But if you just, if you just flip that get the ball to the post.

[00:30:40] Go for the layup first.

[00:30:43] The double comes he kicks it out now you have an open three.

[00:30:48] I think that's the difference that's probably why they shoot the three so well is because they have someone download that requires four to six eyes on him.

[00:30:59] Right, right.

[00:31:01] So if you just go to the other side of the box, as the ball goes around, he comes to the other side.

[00:31:07] If you're in a two three, like people have to watch out because it helps going come from somewhere.

[00:31:12] You're not going to leave any you're not going to leave your guy on the way do believe even a guy's on an island with a skilled big man down low as just that's just not smart basketball.

[00:31:20] Unless they want to stay glued to the shooters and see this guy can beat you.

[00:31:25] That's a dangerous game because like I said he's that much bigger if they matched up size wise being NC State, if they had a 72 guy that was 72280 like an unbeat like an in B versus yoga situation.

[00:31:38] Okay, I'll let you two ballot out because skill for skill, you're going to give the same defensive intensity and all sorts of skill set.

[00:31:48] You can't match him physically he's going to he's going to eat at the run the room 10 feet. He didn't get used to ladder to cut the net down.

[00:31:56] Alright, so here we go. You know this is always one of my favorite, you know things.

[00:32:03] So Mr logical.

[00:32:07] What do you think the spread on this game is on Purdue.

[00:32:13] Yeah.

[00:32:16] I got Purdue favor by five and a half.

[00:32:23] Purdue by nine and a half.

[00:32:28] Sounds like I might be putting some money on the Wolf pack, but I am going to take Purdue to win the game.

[00:32:35] I think I think Purdue is on a mission.

[00:32:39] You know, NC State is playing with house money and that should be factored in.

[00:32:44] You know nobody expected them to be here. They can get here or they can stay here many different ways like I mentioned DJ horn, you know can take over the game burns can take over the game.

[00:32:55] They have senior leadership everywhere morsel. You know, the aura will I'm sure switch on from time to time. So they have the ability they have the makeup to be able to pull the upset.

[00:33:09] You know, I just think that we're destined for the two big men on Monday night to be the show. Yeah. So speaking of which, what do you think the line on Alabama Yukon is 10 and a half.

[00:33:24] 11 and a half.

[00:33:26] Oh, so you can hear it come baby.

[00:33:30] And you know like I said the other night, letro right soul is back he's practicing we don't know if he's going to play or not. If he does play that provides Alabama another shooter to be able to spread the floor out.

[00:33:43] And it's going to be interesting to see where Stefan cast castle is deployed to who's he going to defend for you can't, you know so now Mark Sears, who came alive against Clemson, Grant, Grant Nelson, who was the hero against North Carolina.

[00:34:07] Can Alabama get them both on the same page at the same time, because that will be required if they're going to pull this upset.

[00:34:16] Yeah, Grant got some foul trouble against Clemson, but the Clemson rest I mean we're watching the game.

[00:34:23] They got in that game the rest kind of got a little too involved.

[00:34:28] They were given. I think they were going to whistle a little too much because pre-order got a lot of free throws like a big man contact down low was like, everything isn't a file every time another body parts as a body part down low isn't a file.

[00:34:43] And it just felt like it mess with the Florida game. You know, to a certain point but like it impacted both teams because Grant Nelson coming up that great game against North Carolina was on the bench yet three files put them on the bench, put them back in few possessive down the court got his fourth

[00:34:59] file got taken back out again. And that's when you said Sears but Sears was cramping against North Carolina so if you're the Alabama coach you like, like these guys if they can say if they were clicking on the same cylinder would be good to go but Sears got it was like tired and cramped up against

[00:35:14] Sears was kind of a Grant Nelson took off but him being on the bench.

[00:35:19] So the guy I think number 15 he had like three or four threes from the corner.

[00:35:26] So that offset so that's I mean that's what the term is about sometimes just that guy that like we saw I saw with grambling, they had a guy who averaged six points all year long in the 16 versus 16 game and open around comes out get you like 19 points to include like tie games.

[00:35:43] And over time like the tournament gives you these moments and I think we kind of forget it because we watched so many games have got all the upsets, but every single round like these guys just step up.

[00:35:54] Guys are improving their draft stock.

[00:35:56] Guys are improving their popularity I saw video today.

[00:36:01] They came to see North Carolina State players. The line was out the door and down the street guys want to get like you know fans want to get autographs.

[00:36:10] Keep in mind two weeks ago these guys were barely squeaking away today and CC tournament.

[00:36:15] Now they're popular I think burns has like five or six NIL deals that he eats since the tournament started.

[00:36:23] Apparently NFL teams are interested in them now.

[00:36:26] teams are looking at him because of his footwork so like a lot of things can happen in this tournament and, and if I'm just a little late I'm happy with both side like the women's tournament the men's tournament.

[00:36:38] I mean, if you thought the sports were scripted like this is the standard we're going to go with every week when we talk. This is what it would look like.

[00:36:48] Yeah, that's why that's why I brought up Jaden Bradley the other day because you know he probably isn't Arizona's third best player.

[00:36:58] But he was the one hitting all the shots he was the only one hitting the shots against Clemson because we know that Caleb love wasn't.

[00:37:07] You know so like it's just one of those things and you just never know where it's going to come from.

[00:37:14] That's the question for Alabama, who's going to step up because looking at Mark Sears.

[00:37:20] You know, I think that step on Castle.

[00:37:26] I don't want to say he can erase some but he can erase him, because we've seen him hold boo booey, who was Northwestern's all time leading score to two for 15.

[00:37:38] He held Terence Shannon the other day, the third leading score in the country two for 12.

[00:37:44] So, so he does have the ability to take away what works best for you.

[00:37:50] So who is going to come through the door for Alabama if because Grant Nelson can't do it by itself if Sears is nullified.

[00:38:00] Correct. You know, so who's going to do it.

[00:38:03] We talked about coach early the other day. He has a little bit of that Nick Saban in him where even if you're up 10 he found something that you did wrong.

[00:38:13] So, so you don't have to worry about you con blowing a lead.

[00:38:17] But what if it's a close game.

[00:38:24] I don't think we have a lot of recent evidence to support that you don't you kind of going to be in a close game.

[00:38:30] I mean, that's the thing though like but what if they are Alabama so I've watched the past couple of Alabama games I watched North Carolina game and I like to watch the Clemson game.

[00:38:41] They got hot with less than like nine minutes 10 minutes left in the second half by Grant Nelson one on his run I think he had like 16 or so points in that last 10 minutes.

[00:38:55] You know, you kind of get 30 minutes into the game to catch fire where you're hitting three and three out of three threes and out of four possessions and getting this run or you're getting the layups and the and one you kind of

[00:39:09] have you up against the ropes. If it takes you that long to get hot because I can say Grant Nelson score like 16 points or so in the UNC game after like the 10 minutes like after like 30 minutes of art and play the game.

[00:39:22] So, I think you con consistency I think the coaching consistency is going to like just weigh on them so that that 11 and a half that Vegas is talking.

[00:39:33] It seems realistic. But like I said, if you get high, you're hot, but you can't wait and hope that you're going to be able to get hot late because more likely you're going to either be in.

[00:39:45] If you're not scoring.

[00:39:47] If you're offensive player used to scoring. You don't play defense. Well, if you're not scoring the energy is not right.

[00:39:55] Like that's why guys when they when guys get high, it's like, oh, he had 50 points 11 assists eight rebounds and three steals. Oh, because the ball is getting in the ball is going through the hoop.

[00:40:05] I'm feeling good. I'm bouncing. I got to bounce in my step guys who are scores don't get a bounce in their step from being good defensively so a lot of times you're probably catching that is normally a good score.

[00:40:16] Grant Nelson gets into foul trouble shots not falling. You chase the rebound down now you got a silly file 80 feet from the opposing hoop.

[00:40:25] Yeah, stuff like that happens to so if they don't get hot early, which recent history has shown that you can doesn't allow you to get hot early.

[00:40:35] And it can shut you down for long periods of time. It's going to be a situation where Sears might cramp up again because they're going to need them to play a lot of minutes and even like play a lot of quality minutes.

[00:40:46] Yeah, and who do you put him on is he going to guard Tristan Newton because that's the head of the snake even though Klingon is the 7 to monster.

[00:40:55] Tristan Newton is the engine that makes you come go even going back to last season. And I swear every time I blink Alex caravan is hitting a big shot so the Alabama's definitely in a uphill climb.

[00:41:10] So I'm going to take you con to win. I want to take you con over Purdue on Monday night. Repeat national champion.

[00:41:20] I will watch the games and I'll make my championship pick based off of how if you can carries the same defensive. I'm not talking a 30 year old run.

[00:41:33] But if they go on a 17 to run, or if they go on one of these runs where it's like they get up 1516 20 points. And it looks effortless. It looks like it's great flow it looks like the coach the rotation.

[00:41:50] If all that's working.

[00:41:52] This can be tough to beat. Yeah, so I'll reserve my prediction. So after I see the the semi final matchups.

[00:42:03] Okay, okay. No saying taking the chicken way out okay. Hey listen this is a lot.

[00:42:10] It is what it is. But you know hey, we're already in the thick of March madness where in the final four, but the NBA is coming to an end regular season wise play and starts in 12 days ladies and gentlemen 12 days until the play

[00:42:29] in. So I saw something funny that caught my eye. I was looking at the Lakers because you know they went on their run last year from the play in got to the Western finals ran into the man known as Yolkich, you know like, you know being a

[00:42:46] New Zealand fan it's like, this is sting. You know so as I was looking at this stat. So the Lakers started out in ninth place 30 games ago.

[00:43:00] They went they went 2010 over these 30 games.

[00:43:04] 1616 and seven since the train deadline and have not moved.

[00:43:12] That tells you everything about the West right there, you know what I mean but as we're coming towards the end of the season. And I know we've had this conversation before.

[00:43:23] Are you more or less confident that the Lakers can make a similar run to last year.

[00:43:33] I'm not confident that they can make that run. Because if that was the case, they wouldn't be in ninth.

[00:43:44] Like this is it's.

[00:43:46] I know people say some marathon is not a sprint.

[00:43:50] People who start out fast in the marathon and then kind of tailor off are still ahead way ahead of the people who started slow in this marathon, and they're incrementally speeding up.

[00:44:03] I'm already too far ahead of you. My camera's just too far ahead of you. My rotations are locked in.

[00:44:09] I didn't make a move at the trade that line that works money and I didn't bring somebody on a buyout.

[00:44:16] There's no beef between the head coach and the star player.

[00:44:21] The pressure on the organization doesn't like the pressure on the organization matches what you have like your expectations like diverse pressure is to repeat as champion, but they have all the pieces in place to repeat.

[00:44:39] So it's a matter of.

[00:44:41] You're going to repeat or not.

[00:44:43] The Lakers expectations to win a championship and they don't have the pieces in place, in my opinion, to be there because if that was the case, they'd be closer to three or four.

[00:44:53] And I understand that with the West, like I could pull up the standings now where it's like, oh you're a couple of games out of, you know, fifth.

[00:45:02] The problem is the reason you're out of fifth is because you've lost eight of your last nine of Sacramento.

[00:45:10] They're ahead of you went one and two I think it gets never to share their head of you.

[00:45:15] You went one and two against simple was there ahead of you. So it's not a matter of like just looking at the record.

[00:45:23] As just numbers is how the numbers apply to your success.

[00:45:29] You're not that good against these teams.

[00:45:33] You can get hot for one night beat Milwaukee.

[00:45:38] They have the talent to compete.

[00:45:41] They don't have great shooters.

[00:45:44] But I think what they have is when they, when they're on there on when a B is on he is on.

[00:45:50] 29 and 16.

[00:45:53] Not a lot of guys move the way he moves at that size, but the guys who are on par with him beat him every time.

[00:46:02] And be the bonus.

[00:46:05] Yolkage. Yeah, if the Andre Jordan was starting against Denver as a big I give him a shot. But it seems as if yeah you can be.

[00:46:15] You can beat up on Brook Lopez.

[00:46:19] But when it comes down to you.

[00:46:23] Win in the battle with Yolkage, winning the battle with some bonus.

[00:46:27] Shet is new. I don't know if they really have like a real history yet because like I say is a rookie year.

[00:46:33] Excuse me.

[00:46:35] But that's the thing. So it was like, are you going to be able to beat.

[00:46:41] The match up with go bear or Carl Anthony towns because that's what a boy's down to because you're going to have to beat a team that's better than you.

[00:46:49] Well, can they get out of the play in.

[00:46:52] I think they can go out and play it because the play is appellate kids. I mean, I mean it's one game, you know, all it takes is stuff to get hot once.

[00:47:01] You know what I mean which we've seen happen before.

[00:47:04] Yeah, but I think the.

[00:47:06] Okay if you look at the Warriors the Warriors have like they they beat the bricks off of Houston tonight.

[00:47:10] So Houston is essentially.

[00:47:12] Yeah, it all supposed to be an elimination game but Houston just decided to eliminate themselves and.

[00:47:18] Yes, so what's happened is like I said it's it's.

[00:47:21] We started in October.

[00:47:24] We know how many games you have.

[00:47:26] We know historically.

[00:47:29] One team per year might get close to 60 games wins 60 wins.

[00:47:36] And that team is going to be way above everyone else. Everyone else is going to hover around 55 like that's your top teams in the West or these are going to be around 5050 to 5354 wins.

[00:47:49] If your team can get to that.

[00:47:53] If you're sitting at 30 something wins in the beginning of March, you can expect is like yo we're gonna win the next 11 games and that's not how it works.

[00:48:04] You gotta be consistent throughout the year.

[00:48:06] Get your rotation down get your players out of you can go up you can roll 10 players out there you can roll you can go with nine.

[00:48:13] You're going to tighten your rotation seven eight players in the in the playoffs all of that stuff you figure out throughout the year.

[00:48:20] Certain teams.

[00:48:24] Certain teams are have done that yeah shot them right doker.

[00:48:29] Yeah, he's gonna be a problem in about two years.

[00:48:33] But the problem Houston has the old free agents with the young guns.

[00:48:38] So they paid the old guys a lot of money, Jay, the green out here like he's trying to get child support money.

[00:48:44] So you're gonna have to cut his check and it's going to be like a Zion kind of check it's gonna be like that was that four year 190 rookie deal extension, something like that.

[00:48:57] I don't know.

[00:48:59] I'm not sure what the pot's looking like in Houston.

[00:49:03] I know I know that the street is that Tillman for Tita is a cheap skate so we'll see what happens when we get when we got across that bridge.

[00:49:12] You know, as I was looking at this.

[00:49:16] I've been on record, you know people been calling me a hater because you know, I've been talking about Glenn Rivers.

[00:49:23] And so a lot of people call me a hater first of all because you know I don't call him Doc, but his mama called him Glenn.

[00:49:32] I'm gonna call him Glenn, right?

[00:49:35] Lost back to back games to the Wizards in the Grizzlies this week.

[00:49:41] 15 and 15 overall since he took over as head coach.

[00:49:46] And there's a guy sitting around the play in hovering around seven foot two or seven foot three depending on what you believe coming off of injury, getting back into basketball shape.

[00:50:04] We've seen Boston versus Milwaukee we've seen Milwaukee versus Miami Boston versus Miami.

[00:50:12] I've not seen Philadelphia versus Milwaukee, and I feel like I'm here for it but Milwaukee's not.

[00:50:22] I don't think we get that match up. I mean the plan and this is like I said I know you aren't a fan of the plan.

[00:50:30] And this this conversation that we're about to embark on now is why I'm kind of a fan of it.

[00:50:36] So you got the the Hawks at 36 and 40. They're at a 10 C.

[00:50:42] So it looks like the Hawks.

[00:50:45] So you got Pacers, Sixers Bulls Hawks at your seven eight nine 10.

[00:50:50] I got both technically they the heat just lost so.

[00:50:55] So yeah so now you get the heat so the heat at seven collects as an update yet so you get the heat there are seven but they're going to go back and forth so between the heat Pacers 76 Bulls Hawks.

[00:51:05] They're going to Hawks probably out on the bulls as well.

[00:51:08] But like that whole get hot thing I don't I wouldn't bet on people getting hot unless the eyes are super slim in my favorite I could put $25 on this bet and it turns 125 but for the most part that's probably not going to happen.

[00:51:23] But you get your nine 10 match up of Bulls Hawks, and you get your seven eight match up of Sixers Pacers.

[00:51:32] If I'm Milwaukee, I am begging the Pacers to beat the Sixers.

[00:51:38] That way, Boston has to deal with indeed.

[00:51:44] Yeah, because I don't want to have to deal with it because especially if there's no like he might have been healed.

[00:51:50] Yeah he might have been like he might have been ready to go two weeks ago.

[00:51:55] And they said okay now we're going to get you in basketball shape.

[00:52:00] You know, they always say like nothing really prepares you other than like the actual live game.

[00:52:05] Right maybe they simulate underwater treadmill maybe do a lot of one on one four court drills whatever they're doing and Philly to keep them ready to go like I can ready to rock.

[00:52:14] And now he's back because he looked like he was moving fine and he had a play where bam dole dole they both they both do a flu sport and bam kind of fell in his knees.

[00:52:25] And he got back up and you get planned so if he if he's ready to go. It's a dangerous matchup because you got Maxi Kelly Ubre these guys kind of just figured out.

[00:52:38] But this is what I can do Cal I reserve veteran presidents level headed championship pedigree.

[00:52:45] He's like, so this is what we can do without him so maybe and be plays 32 minutes because these guys can can manage without him for four or five ministrations you can get them 25 actual minutes of rest in between, like the end of the first and when he comes back in in a second stuff like that.

[00:53:07] Yeah, that's gonna be a tear from Milwaukee because they put you there season when he fired the coach when he was 30 and 13. Yeah, and also has buddy healed, you know bringing in some shooting that they sorely need it.

[00:53:21] I don't like the melt and injury, you know that that might prove big for Philly even though he's not a big score but there are other elements to the game besides scoring.

[00:53:32] Indiana is they've had Milwaukee's number this year.

[00:53:38] You know so but obviously, they beat him in the end season tournament. Yeah, we're obviously not seeing the same Halliburton, you know so maybe that will change a little bit.

[00:53:49] When I look at the three through five it gets really interesting because Orlando is only a half a game behind Cleveland for the three C.

[00:54:00] You know now what I do know is that Orlando cannot score so all you folks out there that missed those early 2000, you know, 81 to 74 playoff games.

[00:54:13] We get Orlando in the next, you might get a throwback series because Julius Randall is out for the season and regardless of what the logical things.

[00:54:23] I am not happy about that. You know, and then we got out of no be og out of no be with the is being labeled as a tennis elbow now.

[00:54:34] So now we don't know if out of no bees going to be back or not so the next just went from. Yeah it's so painful being a Nick fan.

[00:54:42] I know it's painful. Yo, New York City is probably full of the most passionate people on earth.

[00:54:50] I mean they love their teams love them I watched dudes get kicked out of the jet games.

[00:54:58] Because they were cussing the ref out in the second quarter on a holding car.

[00:55:03] Yeah, it's literally just and I know the passion so they get to this point. They thought Randall was going to be back and be ready for the playoffs.

[00:55:12] And nobody was a great trade everyone's everyone's been everyone but like a lot of the pundits and say like that was one of the better in season trades and yeah they were something like 11 and two before he got her.

[00:55:25] And it's like, now you might not get him back either it.

[00:55:30] Here's what it would have next around the first round and it's just it's just a let down. Yeah, Bob Donovich never met a player he wanted to defend.

[00:55:38] You know, and so as we look at this, you know the next went from the trendy pick of Boston doesn't want to see the Nixon the second round to like, I think the next is there.

[00:55:52] I have enough guns. They're just here, you know to be at this point you know Jalen Brunson would have loved to have Julius Randall back, you know just to have another person to do the ball handling and helping out there but

[00:56:06] I have stepped up coming to the lineup but you just never know what young players are going to do wants the light of the playoffs come on. So so since Dallas Mike, you know Dallas Mike is up here and no that's what I said I said big Brian stepped up.

[00:56:21] That's what I said.

[00:56:23] But but as Dallas Mike will say you know, he tried to put us on notice that the Mavs are coming.

[00:56:31] And now that the Mavs have their new starting lineup with Daniel Gafford and Darren Jones and lineup 13 and two.

[00:56:42] You know, and so you know their defense has.

[00:56:47] Let me real quick. Let me give him his flowers personally from me when he said it I was like stop it.

[00:56:54] These do has got nothing they can be done in the playoffs just like they were last year. And I think since I said that get it been on the tear so shout out Dallas Mike, give you flowers you made it you made it have to prediction but it's kind of slanted because your Dallas Mike

[00:57:12] Well he's Dallas Mike for the Cowboys though but you know to me but but yeah you know as I look at the West. I was trying to think about this earlier if if the Mavs were in a series with anybody just looking at all the teams in the playoff area.

[00:57:30] So who would I definitively think can beat Dallas so like I don't think Dallas can can beat Denver in a series right but Jamal Mary is also hurt right now.

[00:57:44] You know but but but like all things created equal healthy. I don't think Dallas can beat Denver.

[00:57:51] I think Dallas can beat okay see.

[00:57:55] I question Minnesota if cat is back but they could beat Minnesota.

[00:58:03] I think you have a. I think what I think without Dallas having this the type of superstar player that they have makes them dangerous because Kyrie is so dynamic as an individual player as well, coupled with the way Luca we also score 73 points and for some reason that has been

[00:58:29] a conversation this year multiple guys going for 70 for the 1000 time you know.

[00:58:38] Close my mind the man drops 73 points granted the Hawks I could probably get 13 on him but he's dropped 73 73 points.

[00:58:48] He does play different in the playoffs because I believe Luca has this.

[00:58:54] The it factor we talked about that with a lot of recruits and quarterbacks and star players and pundits and just people that popular people in general the it factor.

[00:59:05] I don't think the moments ever too big for Luca.

[00:59:09] Do I think he makes the best decisions every single time now, but I don't think he walks out to the court thinking that whoever is guarding him or whomever is lined up as an opposing team.

[00:59:22] I don't think he walks out there and sees the clippers and says man I really hope that Kawhi doesn't switch on me or hope they don't try to double me all the pick and roll or whatever I don't think he thinks that at all.

[00:59:35] Hence why he seems to play at a different level in the playoffs where we talk about role players playing different at home than they do on the road.

[00:59:43] I think a guy like Michael Porter Jr. will go brown the young guy.

[00:59:48] Chris Brown from Denver.

[00:59:52] He's a young guy. I think he goes into a series even if it's the two seven matchup and they end up with the pelicans.

[01:00:01] I think he might feel the pressure and the magnitude of the season where as Luca is like I don't care who's over there.

[01:00:09] Give me the ball make sure it's the ball that I like getting his book bag. We bought to make it to the premise land.

[01:00:16] So you know how we always talk about not us but just sports in general, we always talk about nobody wants to see this team.

[01:00:25] That could be Dallas but I think the Suns are the team that there's not anybody that Phoenix wants to see.

[01:00:36] I don't think anyone. I don't think people fear Phoenix because I can neutralize two of your best three guys but just put big bodies on them.

[01:00:50] Either I'm gonna put a big body on Booker or I'm gonna put a big body on Beale and I might just let Kevin Durant exhaust himself against one of my better defenders.

[01:01:03] And I feel like Beale is stuck in the 1990s. Like you know like Devin Booker's got the mid-range thing going on.

[01:01:10] KD can do pretty much anything on the court.

[01:01:13] They're all bunch of mid-range guys. They're all they're all like 18 footers.

[01:01:16] But I feel like Bradley Beale still wants to play ice-o-ball. Like he don't move at all. He doesn't cut. He doesn't like he's very stationary.

[01:01:26] Yeah, he can be completely neutralized.

[01:01:28] Yeah, but he'll do it to himself.

[01:01:30] That's what I'm saying. Like I don't think there's been... I like Bradley Beale a lot.

[01:01:35] I do.

[01:01:36] I'm always like, man, well you're Wizards fan. I thought him and Russ worked well together. I thought him and John Wall were gonna work better together.

[01:01:45] I just I knew that when he went to Phoenix, I was like, that's the move you need to make.

[01:01:52] Like I would rather have four role players get me seven and nine points each but can also defend and rebound and just be on the floor versus getting...

[01:02:05] If I could get 30 points from Bradley Beale, I still would take the four players giving me seven and nine points.

[01:02:11] If you felt like you had to make a move, you know, just because you're trying to stack up or whatever, how to probably try to get in on the Drew Holiday thing.

[01:02:23] I don't know why they didn't just try to smooth things over with the Andre Aten because that is the KD Booker Aten looks more like the Boston three-party

[01:02:36] which was successful contrary to like the results. They got one championship, they went to two finals and they lost to...

[01:02:47] They beat Kobe. They beat LeBron to get there to beat Kobe.

[01:02:52] They might have had a third finals if KG didn't get hurt in the middle year.

[01:02:56] And then LeBron doesn't have 45, 15 and five in game six. They're back in the finals again after winning it.

[01:03:05] So that's the piece that I always think about is that if I'm going to build a three-headed monster of a team, I need the three players to do like three different things very well.

[01:03:21] You guys to read guys who all basically do the same thing to where defensively, I don't even have to like...

[01:03:30] I'm just like, okay cool. You guys to stay on him and we'll see if this one guy can fire off. Like Booker when he's dropped 52.

[01:03:39] They barely won that game. You get 52 points.

[01:03:43] So is there another team in the West? Like we talked about Dallas already. Is there another team that you see below say the four seed that you think the higher seeds don't want to play?

[01:04:03] So five, six, seven, eight...

[01:04:07] Because the only thing I could think of is like if I'm okay C, I feel pretty good about my season. But if I'm okay C, I don't want to see the Lakers.

[01:04:22] Well, if you're okay C, you're good to go because you can book 30 points. I got 30 points.

[01:04:31] Maybe. Remember I asked that question a couple of weeks ago, is he going to be the new Harden where when the playoffs start he's not going to get some of those calls and free throws that he gets?

[01:04:44] He's a smaller guy so his fouls... Harden's a big dude.

[01:04:49] He is but Harden do how to manipulate the refs too.

[01:04:53] Harden with Flail. He is... Okay, like I said, I use the example all the time. I have a couple of friends. I have a family of friends that are tall.

[01:05:03] I got a cousin of him. I was like six, seven. I got three friends that you taught. I was six, six, six, five. These are giant people.

[01:05:13] The way James Harden flailed his arms back and those playoff runs when he was getting hit, he was acting like he was 5'11".

[01:05:21] I'm like no one's hitting you that hard to where you're just falling apart when you get contact.

[01:05:28] SG is not that big. So if he does get bumped, that's why he still gets some points in the end ones because he's literally getting bumped trying to score.

[01:05:40] Whereas Harden would just throw his arms through and just let the ball go as part of the theatrics.

[01:05:47] Out there like Brad Pitt and Fight Club, just making it seem like everything's just going haywire.

[01:05:53] That's why he doesn't get the calls in the playoffs because your playing against the same team more than likely five to six games because it's rare that teams get swept.

[01:06:06] And teams just figure out like okay, let the Utah series when they just played behind them.

[01:06:14] When they left in the pain, play behind them. So I think SG, you can book up for 30 points. I don't think any of these teams are feeling any of these guys.

[01:06:22] Six to 10. I don't think anybody one through five is looking at these guys.

[01:06:28] Six to 10. Like oh my God we can't beat them.

[01:06:30] Last question. Do we think because I know, you know, people talk about we've heard Shaq talk about the switch, you know all that stuff.

[01:06:45] Is it possible that the Clippers have a switch? No. Or are they done for?

[01:06:50] They, they, they, all right, didn't agree. We already thought they were.

[01:06:57] You want to crown them? Crown their asses.

[01:07:00] One of crown their asses.

[01:07:02] Like it's, this isn't a secret league. It's not like let me keep, no, I want to go out here and win every single game.

[01:07:12] If you get to this point where you're, we're 75 games into the season, you got 34, 36, 31 losses. That's who you are.

[01:07:21] If you are temper walls, thunder, nuggets, excuse me, pardon me, 50 plus wins.

[01:07:30] I'm not, if I'm sitting at 53 wins and I turn on TV and the question is who's more dangerous than the playoffs, the Lakers of the war or the Warriors.

[01:07:46] I'm like, yo, I got 53 wins. How are they more dangerous than me? The guy with wins.

[01:07:56] Because they have the experience.

[01:08:00] And they had that experience in February.

[01:08:04] When they had, when they played five games, but he had the same conversation last year after the trade deadline. I told you, hey, I like the moves that the Lakers made.

[01:08:15] I think the Lakers are going to cause some trouble and you said Lakers ain't going to do shit. And then they ended up in the Western Conference finals.

[01:08:23] They played one of the most immature basketball teams in the history of sports.

[01:08:29] But you knew that already.

[01:08:31] Yes. But I didn't think Joe was going to be hurt.

[01:08:36] He missed the game that it gave him overtime. I didn't think Dylan Brooks is going to poke the bear and literally say I poke bears.

[01:08:46] I didn't think that they would collapse that bad because we talked about the record without John.

[01:08:53] It was okay. That head coach has a grip on that team.

[01:08:58] The problem is the success went to their heads. We haven't had that same, we haven't had these same reports out of Memphis this year.

[01:09:06] There's no strip clubs, no guns. There's no, well obviously there's no Dylan Brooks in the building, even Dylan Brooks in Houston.

[01:09:14] We haven't gotten that same thing. I think they got to the point where they had the same success that the Timberwolves are having this year,

[01:09:23] but they behaved like they want to do hood rat shit with their friends.

[01:09:28] Instead of being like, yeah, we're a professional team. We've turned the corner of going from being in the play in to now we are at the top of our conference.

[01:09:37] I think OKC has locked that in. I think the Nuggets because it was a couple of years, Jokins got kicked out of their last game and the playoffs against Phoenix when he slapped campaign in the face and then comes back,

[01:09:50] puts together MVP season, doesn't win MVP but does go on, make a good playoff run.

[01:09:57] So it's like these certain moments happen to the teams. I think the Timberwolves and Nuggets and the Thunder have earned the respect to not think that some team that's scrambling in the play in is going to beat them after they get in the play in.

[01:10:15] That's fair. And then again, this is why we played the games.

[01:10:22] Real quick, I want to give a shot. I want to give I want to give credit to Kevin Wilde's first things first. He said this earlier today and it just, it makes so much sense.

[01:10:32] And he was referencing LeBron. And what he said was, no, no, trust me, you'll like this one. He was like, you guys are talking about LeBron and the Lakers.

[01:10:44] The way we talk about Tiger Woods when the Masters are coming up, we all know that Tiger Woods has had a steep decline. He was a legend for years.

[01:10:58] But it's like, oh, you don't want to see Tiger Woods in the first round. He's looking good. And then he makes the cut. You're like, oh, he made the cut after the second round.

[01:11:08] You don't want to see him on Saturday. Oh, he's within six strokes on Sunday up Tiger. And it's like realistically, that's not a realistic position to come back to win a championship.

[01:11:20] That's not that's not where you would want to go. Like if you had Roy Macaroy at six, he's down by six shots coming into Sunday.

[01:11:30] You wouldn't think that he was going to close that gap and win a tournament. But because it's Tiger Woods, you say, hey, never know, he puts that red shirt on on Sunday and he's going to, he's going to make a run.

[01:11:42] And there's no evidence to support it other than his legendary status. I think sometimes we do that with the Lakers is that right now the Lakers at best, at best maybe to get to Western Conference finals.

[01:12:01] And it's not because I don't think the players are great. I just think that what you need to win these other teams have been doing it better all year long.

[01:12:12] The coaches have been doing it better than the LA coaching staff. The GMs made better moves than the LA front office.

[01:12:23] The other teams have younger stars that give you the same things for their team that AD and LeBron give you for LA, but with better roleplayers.

[01:12:35] So it's only so much I can I can love everything about LeBron's game. I can love everything about his historic.

[01:12:43] But he's done historically 40,000 points, 10,000 assists, 10,000 rebounds being top three here, five here, one here. I can love all of that.

[01:12:51] But if he goes out and he gives you 25 points, SGA can get you 30 to 32 points.

[01:12:58] Check can get you 20 points. Gidi is going to get you 16 points, six to seven assists, seven or eight rebounds.

[01:13:05] You're going to get tons of defensive effort from the younger bodies in 22, 23, 24 year old guys.

[01:13:13] They're starting to learn it's averaging like 24 and a half years old.

[01:13:16] If I would, if I would I'm 42 right now. If you told if I told you, hey man, I'm fighting a kid tomorrow at the gym. Who's 26.

[01:13:27] You can see the size of my hands. You can know my muscles are big when like you're fighting to do 16 years younger than you.

[01:13:35] He might just outlast you. And I think that's what's gonna. I think that's part of it.

[01:13:40] That's going to happen anyway, but they don't have a young star to go with their own head.

[01:13:45] Making to the Western Conference finals. That's still a success to everybody but LeBron.

[01:13:50] You know what I mean? That's the thing. I don't.

[01:13:53] I'm saying best case scenario. Everything goes right.

[01:13:58] Not. I don't think that they're going to be able to even make it that far.

[01:14:02] I'm saying everything goes in their favor. Every matchup falls in their favor.

[01:14:08] They get the call at the end of the game. They one of their guys gets like Austin Rees or Dilo gets hot and gets you 37 points or something like they need something like that to happen, which is not like you said coming back to the mean.

[01:14:24] Yeah, I get you 37.

[01:14:26] All the probabilities say no say no and it's like I think there's nothing wrong with you looking at it from that vantage point, especially when it comes to a four out of seven.

[01:14:37] Four out of seven turn four to seven tournament a one out of three or two I best two out of three anything can happen before the seven that's going to be tough.

[01:14:48] It's gonna be tough. Yeah, so like I said, I don't think Phoenix wants to play anybody.

[01:14:53] You know, the pelicans are the wild card to me who they have what you need.

[01:15:01] They have Herb Jones they have trade Murphy Ingram's out right now, you know, Zion's last at the season finally.

[01:15:10] So so like the pelicans have things and I love Willie Green I think he's a really good coach.

[01:15:17] But in a playoff somebody has to be dynamic right exactly something dynamic about your but I will something that the other coach can't gain plan for but I will tell you.

[01:15:30] I don't think Minnesota wants New Orleans.

[01:15:35] Yeah, that's because you must not have watched them play this year against each other. They don't want the pelicans.

[01:15:41] You know, especially if cats not going to be back.

[01:15:45] But that's about it. Like that's the one match up that I look at right now if we were to get it.

[01:15:52] That's the one where I'm like one of these Western teams to top three potentially is going to fall early outside of that.

[01:16:01] I think I think par for the course for the most part I think we like to romanticize.

[01:16:07] You know, Steph is coming. Steffan going nowhere.

[01:16:11] Like you said we love we love the Cinderella in the first round.

[01:16:15] I'm not going to be in the championship round. But the NBA legislated out the Cinderella when they moved from best of five to the best it's when I think Denver not the Super Sonic sound back in the day and the Kimbo.

[01:16:31] I don't know if that's true.

[01:16:37] The NBA wants one two three and four. The expectation is my biggest stars, Luca Yolkich.

[01:16:46] I don't know if that's true though.

[01:16:49] I don't know if that's true about the NBA.

[01:16:51] No, no, no, the expectation is one two and three when it's LA New York Boston they don't know that's what I'm saying.

[01:16:57] Because your expectation is my star players are going to be one two three and four in each conference.

[01:17:06] So that's the expectations like, but the reason that that's the case is because it's set up to where you can't beat them without a little luck.

[01:17:21] Right.

[01:17:22] You get the four quarter advantage you get to travel days.

[01:17:26] You get, you know, so you have like the days off and with the plan, especially with the plan seven eight nine 10 these as are all playing a couple extra games while the one sees are locked in.

[01:17:42] And then you have the three because you have 53 wins for Nuggets and the temper walls are 52 for the thunder. Maybe they play a couple of guys later, but I think somebody sees like, you know what, I'm good at two, or I'm good at three and I'll take on Phoenix.

[01:18:00] All I know is because none of them are going to fall to four.

[01:18:04] I'm going to say because I said it once and I'm going to say it again.

[01:18:09] Boston, you're on the clock.

[01:18:13] So I think I think Boston to be fun.

[01:18:16] Ladies and gentlemen talk about the West all the time but I think Boston need to talk about the East we talked there like the first seven minutes.

[01:18:26] They're not 13. They're up 13 games.

[01:18:29] Yeah, but ladies is not making up for 13 games. I don't care if they fall.

[01:18:34] Hey, hey, and be with no pressure and no expectations.

[01:18:41] There's no expectations on the beat at all anyway, because no one I don't think people really believe he's going to win a championship or if you've ever been in a position to win one.

[01:18:50] I think people believed last year he got the MVP and I think you take that you think that Philly team was built to win and beat the best.

[01:18:59] No, I don't think anything with Joel and bead is it's not about the team it's about him.

[01:19:07] Yeah, I don't think anybody I don't think I said yeah I don't think it was gonna be.

[01:19:12] It is not him.

[01:19:15] You know I'm just saying, but ladies and gentlemen that is Mr logical.

[01:19:22] I am to five will be back on Monday, you know, final four will be having a championship game that night live during the game.

[01:19:33] You know saying not getting in trouble with CBS again and Viacom, you know, but hey, we are sports reports is ordered.

[01:19:41] Thanks for the support like review subscribe share with Grandma and everything shout out to Coons on shout out to cruise shout out.

[01:19:51] Shout out to cups in the gang shout out to the hot box shout out to the world.

[01:19:58] We love you and we'll be back.

[01:20:11] Peace.
